[Q] Double Power DP7856K Rooting Help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need help rooting this tablet that I got for my birthday in march.
I've tried alot of places, towelroot, kingo, almost everything but no success.
It runs android 4.4.2 jellybean and the model (as i placed in tittle) is a DP7856K

Hello XDA. I've been a long time reader of these forums and would now like to learn how to root. I have a dp7856k tablet purchased from walmart and would like to start with this before trying to root my LG G Vista. I have not found anything regarding this tablet and I hope y'all can help. Thanks in advance!
Sent from my DP7856K using XDA Free mobile app

I was able to root my DP7856K with Kingo Root, although now every reboot results in a near factory reset, root remains intact, but data and apps are wiped, signing into google starts the download process. What I've read so far is that the location of busybox is/may be wrong.

Don't know if you're still having problems or not, but the Kingo apk worked for me, although proceed at your own risk, rooting my DP7856K resulted in a factory reset with every reboot, even after moving busy box to /system/bin from /system/xbin as suggested by this forum. I've been forced to keep it on and charged up, or reload everything if the battery gives out unexpectedly.

Trying to safely root problems

Hi all bit of a noob, Samsung Galaxy 5 gt 15500 Froyo 2.2 trying to upgrade to 2.3 Gingerbread.
Anyway downloaded z4root using QR from this site V1.3.0, thread closed so could not post there. Tried to root but it did not root. Tried z4root again and just got a white screen , waited for a while nothing happened, just a white screen, pressed home and returned to home page OK. I tried to reboot and everything came back, still not rooted but z4root now worked. Tried this 3 times again with blue screen but did not work. Re-installed app a couple of times.
Any suggestions on any similar app that will safely root this phone as this one does not work on this phone also tried "super oneclick" did not work. This is getting frustrating. Tried many searches on google and youtube but none seemed to work on this phone
Thanks 2bretired.
UPDATE 9/16/12
Well after much searching I stumbled across a program called "Unlock root" which had our model number as working, but it only runs from a computer. Be carefull downloading as it tries to put Babylon tool bar on your computer even when you uncheck the install box's.
Downloaded, ran the program and at first it did not root but after a couple of try's it worked. So finally I have a rooted phone. Next step to use ROMmanager to backup existing firmware then upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.
Hope this helps others out there. 2bretired

Use universal AndRoot as branimiller9 said and just be careful while using ROM manager, (It bricks if you are not careful enough!!). Instead you cab flash clockworkmod recovery from psyke83 and backup/flash anything from there.

[Q] HELP NEEDED!! Rooted my phone Acer Liquid E2

Hi I am needing quite a bit of help and information, I know that the help and information I need is quite a fair bit to me, but to a lot of you might actually just be basic stuff, I must confess i am new to the rooting world, and android, But i have been Researching rooting my phone for a few months now and finally plucked up the courage to do it at the weekend, anyway first things first, i have a Acer liquid e2 v370 with jelly bean 4.2.2, kernel version 3.4.5, I rooted my phone with Impactor through my pc and, when it was downloading it stopped and a message appeared saying payloader stopped or stopped working, so i thought it never worked but i then tried it on my tablet and it rooted it, so i downloaded root checker onto my phone and it said i had root access which i was over the moon with, Did payloader stop because that's how it goes onto the phone and stopped because the download was finished? ok now this might seem a daft question, but i will ask anyway, ok ive done loads of research but come across all different answers and different preferred ways, so now i am rooted what do i do? what apps are a must have? do i have the correct things installed? the apps i have are " super su " Titanium Back up " Busy Box " T-W-R-P " Root uninstaller " Root Checker " and that's it, in one of the apps i cant remember what one exactly but it asked to turn off boot loader, but i read that rooting your phone does that, am i on the right path? i will also tell you the main reasons i wanted root access, i wanted to uninstall preloaded apps that i don't want or use i did try this with the root uninstaller but failed to delete the apps as there still on my phone, i also wanted my phone to run a bit quicker and longer battery life change themes, and make my music louderand get some game cheats and that's about it other than having the options to do what i wish with the phone, i am hoping to get a custom rom but i haven't backed anything up yet as all i have done is browsed through the apps and not changed anything, anyway i will apologise in advance if i have placed this thread in the wrong place, i did think it was more suitable to genral than any other place, i also would like to thank you in advance as this is a big ask, but now i have root i just need a point in the right direction to get me started, thanks again for your time barry[/I]
help needed
There must be one of you geniuses out there that can help me get started with my newly rooted phone ,"acer liquid e 2 v370" I managed to root it with the help of alot of posts on this forum, but now its rooted I dont know what to do, I have looked every were and cant find what I am looking for, I would highly appreciate any help what so ever, it does not need to be all the things at once but if anyone has any information on what I do now with the things ive downloaded onto my phone, and like I mean just downloaded straight from google play, I havent flashed anything or backed anything up, i would greatly appreciate it, I would even like some help on how to back up my phone, so I can at least mess around with it my self and see what I can do, so any help from anyone will be much appreciated thanks again guys bazzaboy1:good:

LG Optimus L3 II (e430)

A couple of weeks ago, I started to mess around with the build.prop file in my LG e430. Things turned bad once I change the api (or sdk) from 16 to 19. Nearly every single app became unresponsive, so I managed to change it back to 16 with es file explorer. I rebooted my phone, and things seemed to go back to normal. Strangely, I seemed to have lost root, so I try to root it again, first with Framaroot, then with other programs on a pc. Every single time it said that it was a success, but my phone did not get rooted. So I told myself, "Maybe the binary is installed but there is a problem with installing Super SU?". I installed super su, but it detected no binary. I tried with other superusers, but with no luck. I then decided to install it before performing the rooting process with framaroot and other programs. Same result as the last. What went wrong? Now I realize that some apps (like aptoide or clean master) derect that I have root, but then can't use it. What's weird is that the build.prop is back to its original state, like it came out of the factory. I can no longer view it or edit it, as I no longer have root. Can anyone help me with getting my phone back to a working root condition? Flashing the stock rom is the last thing I want to do. Thanks.

-LG Optimus L3 II
-Lenovo IdeaTab A3000-F

Got myself in a right mess - need a fix

Brand new Amazon Fire HD 7 and I just couldn't leave it alone and had to try and get CM13 running on it. I used the scripts that Root Junky provides to root it etc and from reading a forum post on here deleted some of the unwanted apps thinking I could just leave it fairly stock.
Changed my mind and thought the best way forward would be to go back to stock and start over so booted into recovery and factory reset and cleared the cache only to find that when Android loads all I get is a flashing wallpaper every few seconds and can do nothing.
The device was accessible via USB and hopefully will again but when trying to connect with the Root Junky script that uses ADB it cannot connect because it is not authorised. Can the tablet be saved and if so how.
I'm no expert so please be gentle.

You are probably in the wrong forum since it sounds like you got a 2015 Fire. You gotta go to :

Soft-bricked Amazon Fire HD 6

Hi, this is my first post so don't be surprised if I don't ask the right questions/give the right information
Long story longer than needed, I rooted my Fire HD 6. Then I factory reset it, and my root access was gone. So I kept trying to get Kingroot, the app I used, to get me root access, but it couldn't really decide if I had root or not. What I mean by that is sometimes it would go to the Kingroot homepage but then say that root access was gone, and when I tried to root it again with Kingroot, it would always fail. So I brought in another app, Kingoroot or Kingaroot I think it was called, and it worked! But when I opened an app I use, Lucky Patcher, it said that something went wrong and the device needed to reboot. I did it and from then on it has been stuck in a bootloop, but I can get into recovery mode, but I can't get my PC to recognize it. That's not entirely true, it will recognize it in ADB, but instead of the device name it has a bunch of numbers and says the device is unauthorized.
I've tried everything I can think of, looked around online a lot, but nothing has seemed to work, so if anyone can help, greatly appreciated.
I am running stock Fire OS version 5.1.2
