how do i remove custom kernel? - LG G Watch

i have a problem.
my watch keeps dying when it at 70% just dies when i let it sleep. i workes for a day. when i put it on the tablet next morning its dead 0% won't turn on.
my guess it cause i have arter kernel. witch is great. but i reflashed it already nothing changed.
so if i want to remove it? do i need to reinstall stock rom? or is there a easier way?
just flashing stock rom with the lg g watch restore tool would work?

Yes, it would work. The reflashing will overwrite the old kernel and rom.

okay wasn't sure if the kernel would go.

[Q] Experiencing random reboots

After sometime my cell phone is rebooting all times.
If it goes idle and I press the button to wake it, it reboots.
I've used some custom roms including CM7.
After I restored to my original firmware which is Claro Brazil, it keeps rebooting all time .
Anyone know what can I do? I even sent it to motorola and they don't do a thing. All they say is that it don't have any defect .
Thank you
Jayson
Did it start rebooting after you after you restored to the original firmware,
or did you restore to the original firmware to try to fix the reboots?:

I restored to original to try to fix and it keeps rebooting.
I've flashed that build of ICS of dev thread and it seems to be rebooting less times.
How did you flash the rom?
Are you using romracers recovery?
Did you do a full wipe before flashing the rom?
You might make sure you have romracers latest recovery,
and then run this script for a full wipe:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421261&highlight=moto-fastboot+script
and then load a new rom and see if that fixes it.
You can also flash the Kernel and the radio too.

First I installed IHOP_Bell.sbf with sbf_flash to be able to unlock with moto-fastboot. After that did install CWM.
All my roms are installed with CWM with its cache/data and stuff wipe.
How can I know the right kernel and radio for me?
Same for me. I think this is a radio issue, where can we find lastest radio? Do we need to flash it like rom via RR CWM?
Thanks.
I get random reboots all the time. I was thinking it was a problem with wireless or bluetooth... Last time it rebooted was this morning, I docked it before going to bed, and 5 minutes later i hear the double-ding of it mounting internal storage at boot. At the time it wasn't running anything but the dock-widget clock.
I've had it reboot while on the bus listening to music with the phone in my pocket, I've had it reboot while docked and sitting idle, but youtube and flash are the real killers while actually using the phone, for me at least.
I find it reboots less if I leave wireless and bluetooth off, but what is the good in that?
I've had the random reboots probably since I upgraded to gingerbread, but even moreso after Bell 2.3.6 OTA.
I wonder if there is a way to prevent it from rebooting, so we can see what actually causes it to spontaneously reboot.
Im getting random reboots too, but figured it was from the build of CM7 i'm running (23-Nov. Was thinking of doing a full wipe then reload sometime this week. will report my results.
Hi!
Same thing happened to me. What I did was, I flashed to a different radio for it to be fixed. The stock doesn't seem to work on mine and I can't have signal reception.

I'm also getting reboots when I'm not on wifi.... Sometimes takes 15 mins once I'm not on wifi using 2.3.6 bell with latest radio.

I've already did it without success.
Now I'm trying this new Radio:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1175750
N_01.100.00R
because I'm pretty sure it is a Radio issue.
I previously had N_01.95.00R wich seems to be an Asian Radio that probably (hopefully) doesn't work properly here.
I will tell you if it will fix the problem.
Hi there,
I also have random reboots on my Atrix.
Till now, I tried to change rom, recovery, reset data factory, use no apps, etc. But it never worked, and the reboots are still happening without any logical explanation.
I'm also thinking about a Radio problem, mine is : N_01.100.00R
I'll try changing it this evening, maybe it will fix things.
I'm trying a new radio too.
It didn't reboot yet.

Which one? Please, tell us!
Just had my second reboot in 5 minutes with N_01.100.00R...
Basically, it happens only in 3G and never in 2G, so I really think this is a radio issue, but I can't find alternatives...

change radio to N_01.77.36P.
I bet most you're reboots are withing 1 minute of loosing data connection over 3g/4g. Use this radio and I haven't have had one reboot with both blur based roms and currently cm7.

[Q] Battery issue - ICS Omega v5.1 ROM

Hi, i've encountered some issue with battery since I installed this ROM.
I had some freeze and when I rebooted the phone the battery level dropped down of 20-30%...Also during the charge the behaviour was not "normal".. I can post some screenshot to made my explaination "visible".
The first time I had this problem, I reflashed the rom after a full wipe (data and cache) and after i hadn't performed the backup but installed the apps one by one from the store..that not solved the problem. I uninstalled set CPU, I also changed the battery...same freeze and same problem...Any advice?
Thank you!
Try another rom .
jje
Go back to GB until ICS gets rid of bugs.

I`m using same rom but never had issue with battery. I suggest you to use phone until battery will be 0%, use until phone will shut down itself. Leave it off and charge battery for 7 hours. Turn it on and find on market battery calibration, calibrate the battery. Also you can try to change kernel. Good luck
Thank you all. I'll try to calibrate the battery (i think that it is clear that is not a battery problem) before changing kernel and then ROM.

strange that because im getting better battery life than i did from stock gb although i have frozen all samsung apps through titanium im amazed really. It probably takes a couple of charges to sort the battery on a new rom.
Well...I've performed the cleaning of the kernel..and installed a new kernel. No matter which kernel: the battery behaviour is the same. 30 minutes ago screenshot.
I'm going mad
Have you tried another battery, doing full wipes or reflashing rom

I tried with another battery.
I did a full wipe.
I refleshed the rom after the full wipe.
The only thing to do is change the rom.
For the moment I unistalled some apps (Set CPU was already uninstalled..now I deleted Rom Toolbox)

I agree. I myself am using Omega Ice Cream Sandwich 10.4 still
At the moment the problem is gone...propably it was due to the apps setCPU and Rom Toolbox..both set the CPU.
I continue to check the behaviour..the battery life is about 14 hours...maybe it is possible to set the phone to do better..more battery life...

[Q] SGS3 Charging problems

A few days ago my charger (not an official Samsung charger as I bought my phone from a random shop) stopped working as it only works when you hold the connector in a certain position. Ever since then my phone won't charge unless you take the battery out for a few seconds, put it back in and connect it to the charger (I now use my camcorder's charger and my PC via usb). Also, the charger stopped working whilst it was in the phone (I was using it at the time).
Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Try a factory reset first, different lead/battery or repair after that.

Thanks for the reply :good:
I'm running Cyanogenmod 10.2, would it be safe to back up my apps and system data with Titanium Backup then restore the backup after the factory reset?
You didn't mention you were on a custom Rom, do a nandroid then flash a stock rom to test.
Don't change anything until the charging has been tested.

0- 100% standard time about 3 to 4 hours .
100charge use the phone and let the battery recalibrate itself .

Alright, thank you. Was this fix sacrificing everything that I had before which is currently in a nandroid backup?
You've proven the fault is with your rom/setup, restore the nandroid and the charging problem will return.
If you really want CM then flash a clean install of that rom and test charging, if it works then restore apps only from titanium.

The awkward moment when I forgot to backup my apps... Would going back to the problematic nandroid, backing up my apps, reflashing a stock rom then rooting/installing cwm/cyanogenmod be safe?
Edit: As opposed to reflashing a stock rom, installing cwm now and backing up this setup would save time
My phone got back into the habit of doing this, the fix seemed to be only temporary... I really don't want to go stock, I enjoy Cyanogenmod.

temporary brick

Everytime I try to update to 4.2.2 I brick it. I have to restore a backup. It just gets stuck on the HTC Quietly Brilliant screen. (I waited long enough, trust me. I started last night before I went to bed, and it was still on that screen in the morning).
Do I need to remove my CWM recovery and install stock recovery before I take the OTA? Do I need to undo my s-on? (is that even possible?)
thanks, love you guys =]

It's just a stock rom with some minor extras, yes it is stable.

Can't shutdown, restart, restart into recovery etc.

Can't restart my LG G5 anymore. Or shut down. Have to pull the battery.
Tried booting into recovery etc. The blue led just keeps flashing when I try to shut it off or restart.
Not sure when this started but I it could have been when I tried to choose something in some app(not sure which, maybe hravity box) like Fastboot(so it should boot up faster). Anyway, want to boot into TWRP to clean cache(don't know if it will help)
Never got it to work using Power+volume down to boot into revovery.
Can't boot into safemode or anything. Is it possible to boot into safemode using just buttons from poweroffmode?
Any tips?
Didn't try using adb command, I'm at work so can't try it right now.
Maybe factory reset?
I'm rooted and running Fluence HD patch and v10e. H850 international.
Someone help?
There are two ways ti recover a modded lg device:
1) Accessing to the custom recovery through combination, you can find it in autoprime's all in one thread, if the phone boots normally then you did something wrong and yours Have to Try again, the G5 should at Last arrive at the reset menu.
2) Accessing to the download mode, and flash the stock firmware with lgup, here is the guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/lgup-international-domestic-g5s-t3407439
Good luck

And your physical combination keys are absolutely not working? So what does your phone do when it won't shutdown? Is it still responding to user input?
Is your phone branded through a carrier? May I ask about your install process for 10e and Fluence v24?a log could be very helpful... I'm no good reading them but I could inquire with smarter people than myself or this could also force me to learn how to read them lol...
Use Google to learn how to grab a log of a specific process
If u could do that I would be very interested to see what is going on... But i understand wanting a fix ASAP; I suggest reinstalling firmware, recovery, and root using LG-UP then booting and backing up b4 using Fluence HD24 again.
But please grab a log... This is a unique problem

Turns out I was doit the buttoncombination wrong. So I can get into twrp. Wipe cache but it didn't help.
Anymore tips?
When I try to restart or shutdown the phone it stops at black screen and blue LED flashing. Tried waiting like 3min but the blue led still flash, it doesn't shutdown.
Can I just reflash twrp or maybe fluence hd24 and keep all my apps. Tired off reinstalling everything. Been alot off that trying to fix the battery drain. ?

Genisys was good but stock and HD24 gives me insanely good battery life...
Lucky you. It's driving me insane trying to figure out this.
Thinking about changing phone but it seems not to be a LG problem, more an android problem. Just sick how some people get great batterylife and some not. Using greenify amplify and trying to get powernap to work. Gsam and BBS says its dozing and deepsleep etc. Still I get like 3% drain/hour.
