I installed the app from Palo Alto Networks and test my device (i have the latest Android update to SGS3) and it installed the testing app which means that my S3 is vulnerable to the hijacking.
My device: Samsung Galaxy S3
Android: Android 4.3 stock, Rooted
Kernal: stock - 3.0.31-2788594
Build number: JSS15J.I9300XXUGNJ2
Thank you
Search ‘installer hijacking defender’ in Google Play and you may find the answer
I find an app to protect against this vulnerability via search installer hijacking defender in Google Play. The development team seems to be professional and experienced in mobile security!
You may try it!

Thank you for your replay. I installed the app which name is "Installer Hijacking Defender" and checked my device. It says that my device isn't affected and i got SAFE. But my device is affected. By testing it by app called "Installer Hijacking Scanner" which could successfully install a test app after replace it before installing.
Again, thank you for your reply.

Hi, first of all thanks from a long time lurker to this wonderful community.
I have two rooted tablets galaxy tab 10.1" 1st gen with old os, which I'd rather not "upgrade" as it gets more intrusive each generation. I have a hosts file and an app firewall but I would like to use a finer tool, this is why I bought netflector pro (known also with its previous name netspector) when it still was on the google play market. There was no module compiled for my devices so I requested it and waited for a few weeks. Now I see the app has been pulled from google play market i.e. I'm on my own.
These are the specs
GT-p7510 android 3.2 kernel 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1 built htj85b.uekmm p7510uekmm (wifi 32GB)
GT-p7500 android 3.1 baseband p7500xxki1 kernel 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1 build hmj37.xxki1p7500xxki1 (wifi+3g 16GB)
I would like some help with compiling the module for my kernel, which I am quite clueless about, or possibly if someone could share the module if it's compiled already.
Thank you a lot

I'd like to know as well.
FYI, Netflector Pro is now free.
Official site: http://android.hexview.com/netflector/
NetFlector Pro
NetFlector Pro is now a free application. Thank you everybody who
purchased the app on Google Play. Unfortunately, Google decided that
NetFlector violates some vague provisions of the agreement that
sabletooth Google lawers crafted to prevent low-level utility
applications from appearing on Google Play.
Download NetFlector Pro here: Download You may need to check
"Allow to install applications from unknown sources" in developer
settings.

Hi guys,
I would like to install Office Mobile and OneNote on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, but both Office Mobile and OneNote require at least Jelly Bean and not ICS to run. Due to this my device is listed as "incompatible" with these two apps on the Play store.
My question: would I be able to install both of these apps if I root my Tab with either a Jelly Bean or KitKat ROM? Would my device appear on Google Play and allow me to install these apps? The reason I'm asking is as I do not know if the Play store checks compatibility based on stock hardware codes, or on the actual firmware version on the device.
Thanks

Hello.

After Update to Greenify Version 3.0 build 5 the app only shows:
"root privilege is not granted. please grant it manually in the root management toll..."
But it not comes a root request. old versions works fine last years.
i use android 4.4.2, xposed, root.
an greenify is on my device a system app, last update is not intigrated to system.
i have 300 apps on device, i need greenify
oh, i forget. wie have 3 equal smartphones, all have the problem.
What can i doo
greetings
Toshy
I am also experiencing this issue.
I am on a Galaxy S5 SM-G900I running Stock Touchwiz 6.0.1, rooted with systemless root.
Greenify version 2.95 build 4 works perfectly.
Greenify version 3 and up claims it doesn't have root access (despite root being permanently provided to it) and the app never actually requests root.

FYI - there is a new build out (3.1 build 1) that references this issue in the change log.
