Due to key dependency on Android 4.1+, the new engine may not work properly on Android 4.0.x. I'll try to support it in the next iteration.
BTW, please avoid using rating to push something on developer.

Will it ever be possible to use automated hibernation in 4.0.x?

Ah, glad I came here. I have a Kindle Fire that basically runs android 4.0.x, and was wondering why greenify wasn't updating, but my phone, running on 4.4.x, was updating just fine. Even tried sideloading the app to no avail. PLease make it work again on 4.0. :crying:

not working

2.6.2 beta 1 and beta 2 should work on Android 4.0.x now (including Xposed module).

[September 16][Module][Xposed][LP][KK] TabletMetrics: Report screen > 7" - v5.1.2
Linked is an Xposed Module that will allow your phone to report its screen size as >= 7", in order to allow an app that does not otherwise spot your phone as a tablet (via, for example, the Per App Settings module), to do so.
It's important NOT to play up any sort of app specific functionality in this thread, as the module is "global" in scope and targets the Android framework level, as opposed to a specific app. Whatever benefit this has for you is neither expressed nor implied.
Tested and working on my Nexus 5 with stock KitKat 4.4 AND Lollipop 5.0.x AND Lollipop 5.1.x, YMMV.
As with all Xposed modules --> install the linked APK --> make the module active --> reboot --> profit.
Note: This module has no front-end UI, so there is nothing to do but install and make active.
Thanks to Rovo89, et al, for the amazing framework.
Note: Same version should now work across KK & LP.
Download Module via Mega --> Download Xposed TableMetrics Module v5.1.2. Be sure to update to the latest Xposed library before reporting problems. Also, if you experience signature issues where module won't install, please uninstall your current version of tabletMetrics first, before installing the latest.

If you're on an OEM modified ROM (Sense, Touchwiz, Motoblur, etc), where the frameworks have been potentially "adjusted", there's no way to guarantee compatibility.
You can try, and if it works, great. If not, .
Please keep in mind, as stated in the OP and thread title, this is intended (initially) for KitKat (KK) based ROMs.
Having said that, as time permits, I will try and see what (if anything) can be done to support additional flavors.

These require signing up for and approval, for which I did not want to go through / wait on the process to get this to you guys. Mirror added to OP for Mega which doesn't require login. Normal I host my own mods, but figured uploading would be best for this one.
Sorry about that. I didn't realize 4shared required login!

Ok with Galaxy S2 Stock ROM 4.1.2 . Only turn landscape to fix resolution . Thanks !!!
I'd like to try it on my SGS2 GT-I9100 with XWLSN NeatROM Lite v4.6.1.
1. If I deactivate/uninstall the module will the changes be reverted?
2. I guess I simply have to use the play store to download/install the app.
you should get this included in the xposed installer app downloads list like all the other modules!

Hi! I'm using the latest version on ZTE Grand X In, but it has no effect, it doesn't work. Android 4.0.4 modded stock ROM, x86.
Works on my Samsung device with 4.2.2 and Nexus 7 with 4.4.2. You need ROM close to AOSP. ZTE probably did some changes here.

Yes, then No?
Note II, rooted stock 4.1.2. Interestingly, it worked… then it didn't. I tested it right after installing/activating it (just by playing a vid and cranking the volume up past the point the message normally appears) and there was no message. Satisfied, I forgot about it 'til the next day… at which point I started getting the message again.
I'm gonna uninstall the module tonight, reboot, reinstall, reboot twice, and see what's what, after which I'll probably update this post. I hope it works because that message is QUITE annoying.
EDIT
Did the above: uninstall, reboot, reinstall, activate, reboot twice, try it out and… it worked. But then the next day (today) I tried it out again AND… it still works. So don't know what happened that first time. I supposed it's not impossible for the same thing to happen again at some point, but it looks fine for now.

*** UPDATE 2014 July 1 ***
Either two or three days after the above EDIT, which was when I had reinstalled the module and it was working, it stopped working again. In the end the only difference between this second time and the first time is the time it took to revert : 2–3 days this time, 1 day ( i.e. the very next day ) last time.
Here's something that's maybe interesting though. I knew from the last time that if I uninstalled, then reinstalled, it would begin working again, so I tried something else : simply deactivating then reactivating the module in Xposed installer, with reboots in between … and it worked.
I don't know if that last point tells Xposed-savvy devs and users anything useful, but in the meantime, and in the interest of minimizing the time (number of steps) to get it working again when it does die, I'll try seeing what the fewest number of reboots is to do that. Just now when it worked there were 3 reboots, which is too many to consider doing it that way if a permanent solution isn't found. I did this :
• deactivate module in Xposed
• reboot ①
• reactivate module in Xposed
• reboot ②
• reboot ③
I'll try eliminating ③ first because I expect it to be the least significant one, then see if it works if I skip ①, and finally ②, which I expect is the most significant/least expendable reboot. Damn good thing this phone reboots pretty fast.
So did it work?
Released v1.6. It should work on all devices with Android 4.2 and newer.
thank i need it

If you dislike Xposed, i won't argue with that, but sadly you will not experience the full functionality Greenify provides. Unless Greenify is coded to run on top of the android system which I think may not possible without the help of the modified app_process and xposedBridge.jar
I wonder how xposed causes bugs on your system, could you tell me your experience? Xposed does nothing out of the box, it is only the modules that a person installs that has to do something with the system.
betas not showing on Google Playstore
Guys, I am using Greenify with Donation pack on both my devices. In my tablet I do not face any issues. But in my phone, after updating to 2.4.1, the betas are not showing on the playstore. Prior to 2.4.1, i was getting the betas on both my devices.I use the same account on both the tablet and phone. My tablet has 2.4.1 beta 5 and is running properly. But my phone does not get the betas. I have cleared the cache and data from the playstore and again opted in to the beta yesterday night. But till now no betas. Why?

Thank you for the suggestion.
But to my knowledge (and Google's knowledge), there doesn't seem to be a way to sign out of Google. So deleted the Google account from SETTINGS>ACCOUNTS and after rebooting, signed in again. Even after five hours of doing it, I don't get the beta in Playstore.
Now I have opted out of testing and after sometime and may be after a reboot I intend to opt-in again. Let me see.
Incidentally, neither my tablet nor my phone is able to download the beta apks in the first post of @oasisfeng. I get only about 57 kbs of download before it says file downloaded. If I try to open the downloaded file, I get a parsing error. This happens for all the apks listed there.
Any help will be appreciated.

That's a big fat negative. The actual Xposed framework needed to make all of these things work is currently incompatible with Lollipop Android 5.0. It is in development however so keep checking for information on Xposed for Lollipop and with any luck, you'll be in business soon.

Keepchat works in 100%. (v. 4.3.0 with Snapchat v.9.20)
Unfortunately Snapshare is not. Some additional features work (e.g unlimited text area) but when you try to share something you get error "Snapshare is not enabled. Please enable it in Xposed Installer(Snapshare is enabled in Xposed Installer)."
I belive it can be a small thing that needs to be improved to work with Lolipop.
Snapshare has been open-source software. Where is the code?
If PirateBay can survive, Snap hacks will also.

[Q] Lollipop 5.0.x compatibility list - is Greenify fully compatible?

HI
Is Greenify thoroughly tested with latest Lollipop ROMs? Namely CM12 5.0.2.
I use more Xposed app to improve phone performance including Greenify but instead the phone becomes slowish to laggy. This list ranks Greenify as incompatible:
http://android.wonderhowto.com/inspiration/complete-list-lollipop-compatible-xposed-modules-0160380/
These modules I have currently active:
- 3C Toolbox
- Greenify
- Amplify (formerly Unbounce)
- Lollipop Memory Leak Fix
- Lucky Patcher Xposed settings
- BubbleUPNP
- Xposed Additions
- Gesture Control
+ Xposed Framework 3.0 Alpha 2
Never try on CM12 5.0.2 but I try on CM12.1 5.1 and get bootloop.
Greenify should work on Android 5.0.x. I'm aware of the bootloop on Android 5.1.x and going to investigate the issue when I get my hands on a 5.1.x device.

Hello, I have android 5.1 and have the Greenify working in a SG-GT-8730. and I do not have xposed installed, for if it serves them.
After some hard trial and error, I failed to make Greenify compatible with the current super alpha version (20150501) of the unofficial Xposed build. Seems like an issue in the framework itself (which is reported to the developer)
At present, I have to disable the Xposed module of Greenify on Android 5.1 until I can verify it works with the later improved build of Xposed framework, to save your time from a bootloop.
thx for letting us know ? keep us posted ?
