Hello,
I have a XT 912 that has a cracked screen and probably a bad digitizer that will show the splash screen when I plug it in, then it goes to the battery charging screen.
It will go from 0% then 5% then to 100%.
Then it will say 100% then i unplug it then it does the exact same thing.
The phone also wont boot up from this state either.
I multimetered the battery, when it is plugged in it reads 4.35v, then when not plugged in itll go from the ~3.8 and the voltage just drops fast.
Is there anything that I can do to get the battery to charge? or at least get the phone to boot up?

Ok - this is completely nuts. When I place my Photon ON my eee transformer, or my wifes TouchPad, the Photon becomes unresponsive. Pressing and holding the power button does nothing. I have to remove the battery or plug it in. In the past, it would reboot and everything would be fine. Battery would appear to be at the same (or near) charge level.
I would take pains to not place the phone near those devices and I have not had the phone lock up. Today I absentmindedly placed a full charge (near full, unplugged 100% charge @ 12:30pm) and placed the phone onto the transformer @ 1:00pm. I checked @ 1:45 and it was unresponsive. I placed the phone on the charger and it came to life... only now the battery was completely drained!
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix or do I just have to keep my phone from other electrical items?
I recharged the phone it went from <5% charge to 100% in less than 30 minutes, so I guess it didn't totally discharge the battery - something just made it think it was discharged.
All-in-all still a very weird happening.
I'm typing this while my Photon is resting on my Touchpad and it's not freezing. How long does it take for it to become unresponsive?
As stated in the OP - 45 minutes. I did not use it during that time.
I have a rather large electrical box that I place my phone on at work while it charges. I see the same thing happen often. The battery will falsely discharge (not sure how it can discharge faster than a 1A capable rated charger can charge it but whatever) I will come back to my phone later and it will have shutdown and is now in the 'charge mode', the one where say you shut your phone down and then plug in the charger and the 'battery' shows up, and it will often be very low.
Normally I just power the phone back on and unplug it and all is good.
So my Atrix is not charging at all, regardless of whether it's connected to the computer via usb or to a wall outlet via the motorola charger. It's currently at around 20% battery so it will still boot and stuff.
Here's where it gets interesting: After it's powered down, if I connect it to either the wall or usb, the green light comes on for 2 seconds and the it boots up. After it turns on, the light goes off and it no longer recognizes that it should be charging. If I take the battery out and connect the phone to a power source, the green light comes on and stays on. I'm running gingerblur RC1 if it matters.
Has anyone run into this before?
Are you tried this how to? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198333
The problem doesn't seem to be the battery life; the phone literally doesn't recognize that it should be charging, regardless of whether plugged into the wall or a computer. I've left it powered down until I can get an external battery charger (the battery is about 20% and I'm afraid I'll brick it if it gets to 0)

Same problem here as well. Atrix won't charge.
I left it on the charger overnight and I woke up to a 97% charge, which is weird cause it usually goes to 100 way before I wake up.
I unplugged the charger, and plugged it back in, but the phone isn't charging.
I'm going for a factory reset, to see if it helps. I'm using Neutrino ROM for atrix.

Hey, I actually decided to go for a "Wipe battery stats" under "Advanced" on clockworkmod recovery. I had a 95% charge when I shut it down, wiped battery stats, and the phone booted with 93% battery. I plugged it into the charger, and now it's charging again.
Will let you know in case it doesn't go to 100%. It's interesting to note that this issue happened after I let my atrix go below 10% battery for the first time. I'm not sure if it's related. Weird issue..
Hi All,
Please help me with my battery problem.
I was playing some game, the phone had around 30% battery. Suddenly it went off. Then I tried turning it on. It showed 0% charging. I left it for sometime, it still showed 0% charging, and since then its showing the same. It shows 0% charging when I use an external charger to charge it, as soon as I unplug it, it goes off.
My findings :
I trired a few on and off tricks, I cant calibrate coz I can't charge phone to 100%. Then I left the phone on charging for a few hours, it did charge, and somehow the battery showed 100% charged, but when I unplugged the charger, the phone shutdown quickly.
The battery is in good condition, I have used a few apps to check that. The battery is still charged, but the phone doesnt know about it, and reads it differently, phone always finds battery to be 0%. The battery stats show "0 seconds on battery",so I guess the phone isn't using battery at all. I tried hard resetting as well. I believe its a software problem not a hardware problem.
Please help me, I cant get extra battery as of now as I am not at my place, I will be out for 2 more weeks atleast. Neither can I submit my phone for repairing until I am back at my place. Why is the phone not using the battery that is still there? Can anyone help please?
Replace battery, and if that doesn't fix the problem replace USB board/port.
Replace battery with a reputable battery. It will fix the issue.
When my phone reaches 85-80% battery my screen starts to flicker and my phone turns off. When turning on i only have 1% battery left.
Battery is only 1 year old. Do i need to buy a new one?
Or can I fix it?

You can calibrate the battery like this before you decide to buy a new one
Fully charge the battery with the phone on and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is done.
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once loaded to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not load until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).

Hello
A friend gave me a broken Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The phone has a broken and bent screen and a battery problem. First of all, the battery has a capacity of only about 400 mAh instead of 4000 mAh (I checked with a Keweisi USB voltage meter).
Secondly, the phone without the charger connected turns on until it displays the "Mi" logo, then you can see the black screen and hear the warning sound of a discharged battery and the phone turns off. If I plug in the charger and try to turn on the phone, it turns on and works normally, the charger can already be removed. Of course, due to the very low battery capacity, it discharges very quickly and switches off when the battery is about 20% charged.
There is no doubt that the battery is defective. But I wonder if if I change the battery and the screen, the phone will work normally again, or maybe the fact that without the charger it turns on and off after a while is a bigger problem, for example the motherboard. But I think that if it was a motherboard the phone would not turn on at all. What do you think?
