my canvas nitro A311 is 4 months old. it fell down today while i was climbing stairs.the screen is heavily damaged, but the good thing is the device is fully functioning,even the touch.Now what should i do, change the screen with a new one or use it how it is,also how much does a new one costs.thanks in advance

Have you got it repaired from official mmx service centre or any local repair shop? Are these parts are genuine? and was your phone still under warranty? I'm using a310 and after accidentally dropping it in water the screen became dull. So, when I will come to india i want it to get repaired?

1. I got it repaired in a good local shop who gave me the gurantee that nothing would go wrong.
2. Og parts are never availablw anywhere except the service centre.
3. The Micromax service centre takes two to three weeks to repair it because of scarcity of parts and in any local shop would take just a couple of hours.
4. I have a A310.
I have micromax nitro canvas a311, my mobile display was broken its 9 month old but I have one year warrenty it is possible to change my display under the warrenty. I went to care center but they said it is not possible to change display under warrenty display will cost 5500! I really dunno what to do?

Can anyone give me reliable source for spare parts outside of India, or even other compatibility models?
As i understand A311 is clone of Coolpad Great God F1 - or one of submodels.
I promise never ever buy indian phone!!!

Guys finally my Atrix too suffering from touch issues, dead spots on the screen, 2-3 touch points on screen, sleep/wake restores touch temporarily.... Since this phone is not released in my country India, most service centers refused to take this phone to repair I finally decided to buy the digitizer and give it to them! bought the following item

ive been using my Neo L from 3 months, on the date 08-2-2012 i clicked a few photographs in the daytime and the photos came crystal clear, but suddenly during the nighttime i seen that my pictures were blurred out from the center, i checked the glass behind and to my notice i seen it was totally scratched. ive been using a cover body for the phone all the time yet it happened, any idea on how i can replace it and how much will it cost?

the same happened with my neo v, the problem is.sony has directly exposed the camera,it doesn't have any covering, however,take it to sony authorized service centre with us warranty details etc,simply say,the camera is fully scratched,don't say anything more,they wil replace it for free under warranty, u need to keep ur phone with them until they replace, it,for me they said,they had no camera stock,ultimately they took 1 month+ 10 days to return my repaired phone with new camera, it took a bit long, but they serviced it for free,I've been bit more cautious,since then,don't worry

Today I had a very funny experience at Micromax local service centre jodhpur I gave my a116 for flashing it they can't fleshed and said sir mobile ka connector kharab Thai ha ha ha I brought my set back home and flashed it. even my 12 years son can easily flash his Samsung. friends share your experience in this thread about your local service

They refused to upgrade... very clear to say... its thugging...
It is service personnel like these who will always make a dent in MMX image. This is the place where MMX really need to work hard.

I went to MMX service center. The main experienced fellow, who is responsible for checking and deciding the course of action for device fault, was saying to another customer in English..."Sir, I have flashed software to your mobile, but don't start now. Go home, charge mobile to 100% without switching it on and then only start, otherwise the software will wash out again and motherboard will die." Listening it alongside that poor fella, I was something like :silly::silly::silly: he he he
EDIT: Just remembered he also said, "Never let battery drain to ZERO, else the phone will have problem." HE he he. Now I was under impression since last 13 years that weekly or fortnightly full draining of battery increases battery life (as they have been saying in RTFM)
PS: My 14 year old kid flashes Optimus 2x and LG L9 and now CanvasHD every week, even with 20% battery and reboots. I dont still understand why a drained battery will wipe software just like that? lol

Is your device Canvas turbo?? I have had nearly same problem, bottom part of touch screen not working twice. You can try reflashing stock rom. Mine canvas turbo is in service centre for touch replacement.

I got replacement under warranty. It wont be less than 1500 in service centre and 800 in local shop.

It's a hardware problem, you need to give it to a service center, your battery might be dead, or the motherboard maybe...

dude service center says its a display problem but i think there isnt any issue with that! okay let it be there was a hardware problem though. its fixed now in local repair shop. bdw thanks for help!! there was an issue with the motherboard so thats why it wasnt charging and flashing stock rom also fixed my device...

i didnt gave it to service center, they were asking for 2k rupees, :crying: i showed my device in around 5-6 local repair shops and it got a new life in Rs. 300.:fingers-crossed:

By a service center, i meant any technician not the phone's specific service center, the phone's specific service center will always be expensive, my English isn't well, so i didn't remember saying "local repair shop" :silly:
