Hi all,
I got a cool Chuwi VI8 and i've decided to shrink a bit the 7Gb of the android DATA partition.
I figured it will may defect some of my apps but i didn't touch the SYSTEM partition.
But after i did it the android must have been reset or something and when i start the device i get something that looks like password request (chinese) with android logo
any one knows what's the password to continue ?

I have never seen anything like that before. That's strange.
Can you still get into Recovery mode (hold down Power and Volume Down at boot)? What about Windows mode?
now it's working

You can access to boot menu with Power&Volume+
Also, if you plug an USB keyboard and press esc at boot, you can access the BIOS, it also have a boot menu.

Hi guys,
So I bought myself 2x ACHO C908 tablets during my stay in HongKong.
However, only one of them are able to enter recovery mode by holding down Volume- and the poweron button at the same time.
The tablet not being able to proceed just stucks at the first logo of the boot, namely "ACHO".
So my question is if you think this is software or hardware related?
The reason I want to enter recovery mode is because I want to do a factory reset, the tablet not being able to enter recovery mode gives me an error on boot saying I need to do a default settings reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

I would say it depends on the software
Probably there was a error while flashing the recovery image

Sry for my late answer i was away a while
jap u could flash your stock rom via odin or adb just search in the xda forums how this works
if i remmber right in odin there is a optin wich lets u flash only the stock recovery
(you migh also flash a custom recovery like cmw if its available for u tablet)

I can't use "Odin" because I'm not able to boot into Android? So I can't use it?
And I can't use "ADB" either, because I can't boot into Android so I can't turn on "USB Debugging".
Any other guesses? :/
Thanks

Hi,
Today I helped a friend flash a custom rom on a galaxy gio and I opened cmw on my phone to help him go to the right menu's in cmw.
I think I changed the ext4 partition to 0mb (don't realy know how :s) and now when I boot android Instead of the bootscreen with the red m I get some white text with some different options (like boot in adb (about 10 options)) it also tells me I can move change option with volume down and accept with volume up, but these don't do anything :s.
After I wait for a while android just starts booting like normal and everything seems fine, but when android has booted it seems like the touchscreen move up for like a centimeter (if I want to press a button I need to touch the screen under the button) and my soft keys don't work anymore (but I think this is because of the moved touchscreen)
What did I do and how can I make it normal again? I'm running the latest GB Mrom.
Edit:this is the screen I get when there normally is a red circle with the white M in:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Thnx if anyone can help me!
I've been trying somethings and if I don't have my usb cable plugged in I can choose some options on the menu, it seems now that I somehow removed my clockwordmod recovery and went back to old recovery? Is this even possible?
Should I just reflash cmw with fastboot again?
Plz help me
I would hold of on flashing another recovery until someone more knowledgeable than I comes along. There might be a chance where you can do permanent damage. Seems like it could have simply deleted their boot logo, and now instead of those options being normally hidden, are being shown. (like when you boot while holding volume down). What happens if you try booting with volume button held down?
Edit: If all else work as it should, just leave it. Makes it look like verbose mode. Forget Motorola and their stupid 'm'. =P

If I hold volume down + power while booting I get the same thing, and everything works normaly, BUT my touchscreen is messed up, the every touch gets detected to high (if I want to hit app drawer I need to push between the home and back soft button) and the soft buttons don't work.
Oh right, you did mention that, my bad. Well, I'd say hold off for someone that might know what happened as I've never read about or experienced something like this. Maybe try posting in the main XDA Q&A section not specific to Atrix as someone might have had a similar issue with another device (maybe even a Moro) Sorry can't be of much help. Good luck.

touchscreen problems are usually related to the pds partition. Did you by any chance make a backup before these problems started?
I don't know if the bootscreen is related to the PDS partition but it might be that this partition is corrupted.

but could that also explain the weird boot message with the options? (or is it also called animantion, because the Mrom annimations works normal (the blue android guy))
I had mistakenly done something that resulted in your exact problems once. What I did to fix. First you'll need to fastboot a recovery again. Next you'll have to do the pds partition fix. Then lastly flash the proper boot logo back to get the m screen. The first step is dependent on you being able to get into fastboot so hopefully you can.

Yes that is the right file and yes for gb.
Ok, I just reflashed the recovery with fastboot and then I flashed the PDS partition fix and the touchscreen works perfectly again. Only the red M is still gone.
Any Idea how to get it back?
And Thank You so much!
Now I can use my phone again

I would see if it is recognized as attached using adb & go from there; should have a number of options if it is.
Hi,
I'm having problems with my great Lumix phone, stuck in a bootloop. I got it in to ADB mode using this a thread: on another site, but cannot get further. Maybe my phone was in MTP before it got stuck in the bootloop. It definitely is running in developer mode. I am on 5.0.2 and the problem started when deinstalling Kingroot via Super Sume Pro
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Is there a regular factory reset mode, I can't find a keycombination that will start the factory reset other than the one in the thread. If not, does anyone know how to change the mtp to adb mode?
I hope someone out there does know the answer....

Just tried, but does not go into recovery, just Lumix repeating itself. (I let go of the buttons as soon as the "starting system" was shown.

Try letting go the power button only when the "lumix logo" appear, and keep holding the volume button.
unfortunately, that does not work either. I noticed that the Lumix logo only apears on the second loop; i.e: first it starts with a screen powerd by Android twice, after the second it goes to Starting system and then Lumix. Maybe that does give you/someone a clue?

I thought that lumix logo is the first thing that shows app.
In that case you need to let go the power button when you see the "powered by android" logo, and keep holding the volume button.
In short, release on the first thing that show up, no matter what it is..lumix logo..android logo..etc

Ok, last thing to suggest is to search google for:
"(your model number) recovery mode"
Or any other suggestions that comes in your mind, i tried doing that but "Lumix phone" didn't come out with anything related because it's not accurate.

what do you mean that your phone is stuck at recovery mode? if not you can enable the developers option this is the steps
1.) Go to setting
2.) Go to About phone
3.) tap the build number 7 times
4.) now quit the setting then open it again
5.) scroll down then choose the developers option
thats how you open developers option
basically when I reboot turn off> it will "never" boot into normal mode. My phone is so broken that pressing power button only still boot into recovery mode, wipe data and reboot still into recovery mode.

your phone seems to be new which means that your volume keys are still new and good so thats not our problem here your phone didin't boot right? did you do something to your system phone like flashing or something? because if you do there is a big chance that you screw up something in your phone resulting it to be like that. now your phone can still be charge right there might be still a hope we just need to reflash your whole firmware ( if the problem is really a firmware) you said before you cant boot right then there must be a problem in the booting process, i tested this on my phone before i clean wipe my whole phone and that include system partition so when i tried to boot my phone it wont and when i charge it no logo would appear just like yours so im guessing that you phone partition is gone and like you said to its bricked now. if thats the case we need to flash the whole firmware

Thanks for reply>to avoid confusion no I did not do anything/flashing/even enable usb debugging to my OPPO A15S. I am total newbie that I flash Samsung J7 once only. The Oppo A15S yes it is 1-2 years only, volume key clicking works fine but after system update via setting>Official Oppo coloros things. My phone kinda messed up volume key not working<google results say because a lot of phone cannot boot up because of volume key. So should I pry open my phone to see the volume key? Or just wait until 1 day scheduled power up happens?
Logs:
Wednesday 5am my phone auto boot up in recovery mode.I press restart and the screen black nothing happens.
Thursday 5am no boot up
Friday no boot up too.
So I assume it is my phone power is low and somehow my auto scheduled power on force my phone to boot up? and that time system auto update causes my phone die in midway?

hmm i see you didnt do anything in your phone but you did say that you updated it right? while updating you phone did something happen? like rebooting? if so there might be a chance that it became corrupted because of ,that while in the case of your power button what kind of problem does it have? does it work correctly? or you cant click it like its stuck or something? or maybe the button is working correctly and your phone just doesnt boot up? if the button is really problem like google stated ----->
Why is my OPPO always in Recovery mode?
One of the most common causes is that one of the buttons used to access android system recovery is defective or malfunctioning. Now, you should first check if the physical buttons are responding properly, especially the volume buttons, before trying to get rid of the Android Recovery Mode.
you should probably check you physical button because that might be a problem and i just remembered i have the same problem in my sisters phone vivo y53 its always stuck in recovery mode and we are confused why did it happen so we bring it to our technician friend and let him fix it and he really fix it he he told me that if something happen like this again check all the buttons correctly. Now there is really problem in you button and you cant just pry in you phone you might break something you should let the professional do it like technician after you fix your button try to boot up again and if its still black screen or recovery then the problem is in the phone system and you can comeback here so we can help you fix it.
