Walmart had it for $520.00 (in store) last week. I assume that's still a good price. That's the best I've seen.
Typically 3rd party retailers won't discount on off contract price because they can't make money on your contract. In most cases, their price will be higher than AT&T. So Walmart deal is the best you will ever find.

When I went to Walmart their buy-outright price showed as $549 just like AT&T. Did you have to ask about $520 or where did you see it?
Thanks!

I bought mine on the release week for $520 at Walmart. Prices change all the time. Also, this is the price to in-store purchase. Walmart.com is a different deal.

Release week? As in last week, hehe. ;-)
Yeah, when I was in it was before they had them, so likely they didn't know what they were talking about.... I'll go in today and check it out. I have a seller on CL who may sell me one w\o tax, but may just do Wallyworld if that falls through
thanks for the tip!

Here is a much better deal.
http://www.logicbuy.com/deals/samsun...one/37363.aspx
From ATT for $149. After one month buy out your contract for $345 and you get your note for $495
I am cool with my AT&T Note, but if I was going that route, I would certainly go International for $100 more.

I looked into both of the the IE and the att. I decided I wanted the ATT version.
I like the clean look on the front with no button and also nobody has been able to speed up the IE version but the ATT model is running stable at 1.83GHz and it flys!

That's not true bro if you add all kind of taxes plus your first month of service for about $50 on top. It's not 495. AT&T still sucks

AT&T no contract pricing!

32GB - 599.99
64GB - 649.99
It's up on the ATT site now.
This makes me sad, i was really hoping for $550
checked att website pre-order your pricing is right but when check out it still ask for what plan to add? why is that?
So what exactly would be the benefit of buying the no-contract model from AT&T vs. buying the Developer Edition from HTC?
Obviously, none?
Maybe there are some crazy people who want the ATT model, not the unlocked Developer edition one?

I am paying full price, and am opting for the AT&T model over the developer version. Why? One word- SUPPORT. If there is any issue with the phone, I bring it in to AT&T and have them swap it out. Can't do that if I order the dev version from HTC. I had to swap my One X out something like 5 times. The peace of mind is worth dealing with a temporarily locked down phone.
you guys shouldn't complain, the phone costs the equivalent of 840USD here in France, probably many other European countries as well... and that's the 32gb version
Wish i could get one from the US man

Precisely! Besides, we'll have root soon enough given this crowd.
Talking tap from dis here brainy fone!
Being Canadian, I won't have easy access to the Dev version unless I can find one "reasonably priced" on eBay or CL (that isn't fraudulent!). Conversely, I can drive 90 minutes south to an AT&T store and get the AT&T version.
For the sake of clarity, Canadians do have access to the HTC One from at least 2 local carriers, but it's only the 32GB version at this point.
Price seems a bit high. I'm not eligible for an upgrade, but I could switch carriers to Verizon if they get the phone, pay the ETF fee, and still probably come out cheaper.

Same here. Was really disappointed to see the price. It's $60-70 more than I was expecting to spend (after tax). Well, I'm selling my iPhone 5 with accessories for $580, so it shouldn't hurt my wallet much.

ha! That's what I'm doing too, I'm going to unlock mine and sell it with a White/Green Otterbox Defender for $550+ I just got it this week so I could sell it for the One, and the $100 from the HTC Trade-In would still give me a few dollars profit, and if I can score a HD Media Link then I can eBay that junk for $70 and buy a box of Magic The Gathering Cards 8)
How are you guys disappointed by the price? Considering that I paid $850 for my piece of junk 64gb iPhone 5, I think $650 for a BADASS 64gb HTC phone is quite the steal. I was expecting it to be $100 more and was quite surprised when I saw it was only $650. Happy day for me!

Same reason I ordered from AT&T. Can also return rather easily if I decide to get a refund.

My first order failed this afternoon, so AT&T sent me an email with a $50 credit. I ended up getting the 64gb for $635.99 out the door with the media link accessory.

Media Link is for 2 year contracts only. Also, when is the Dev edition supposed to allow a pre-order?

Questions about selling my LGOG

I am receiving a free Moto X, if I like it, which I figure I may due to the size, on screen buttons, battery life I will probably sell my LGOG on Swappa.
The issue is that there aren't any Optimus Gs up there, and I am not quiet sure what to sell it for. I figure I should ask here and find out if anyone else has a recommended price range.
The phone is on AT&T and still sim locked, I may try to get it sim unlocked which may help raise the price. The phone is in great shape with no scratches or dings. Have Charger, Universal Car Mount, and Case for it
How did you get a free moto x??? And anyways, with all that... I'd ask probably 350?

I called AT&T to resolve some issues with my contract and basically said I wanted to resolve the issues due to the increase in my bill. I was basically going to fight leaving with out an ETF charge, I have been with them for like 8 years combined so. But they gave me $10 off a month and a free phone of my choice
I was thinking about getting a new Nexus 7. So I would even be willing to trade straight up.
Any other sites I should look at selling the phone on?
http://www.sellcell.com/phone/lg-optimus-g-(atandt)/ This gets you some quotes. 176 is top dollar there though, and that's as excellent, not new :\
However, that's pretty sweet.

I feel that I will get a better price selling directly to someone instead of trying to sell to some service. AT&T will give me $80 and BestBuy will give me $85. I feel its a complete ripoff

It is. Sell on Swappa, Craigslist, or eBay for the most amount of money.
EDIT: I may have lied. Average price for the LGOG is about 227 selling. So lets say with a case, and car mount... 275. With unlocked, maybe 300. I would list it at 250 or 275 though.

MotoCare for Nexus 6?

I am curious if anyone knows if motorola will allow motocare to be purchased for the Nexus 6.
Their deductible is cheaper than squaretrade so I would like to use it.

If they end up selling the Nexus 6 directly which I suspect they are going to, then they will most likely sell MotoCare for it as well. It's a great plan, I have it on both my Moto X's. They do advanced replacements which gives it another huge one-up over Squaretrade. I'm about to pay the $35 deductible and get a new 2013 Moto X just to get one in pristine condition to hold on to for sentimental reasons.
Not a bad idea but honestly a day apart and no announcement, I thiink that we should not get expectations high.
Moto Care
Motorola states they will not offer MotoCare for the nexus 6 per their forums https://forums.motorola.com/posts/1b06206026

I completely agree. I will be returning the one I purchased from Motorola as soon as I can order one through T-Mobile. I need some sort of insurance for such an expensive purchase.

JUMP is not for me. I thought about it alot, and realized that its a gimmick to keep people coming back to T-Mobile when new phones come out. It's exactly like leasing a car. I like to own my own car and my own phone outright, and pay cheaper insurance for both

The one doesn't make much sense but i have the original one so it's a bit more worth it, can have a new device pretty much every 6 months and i never really reach anywhere close to full retail price of the phone.

I totally understand, JUMP1 is way better than JUMP2. However, it's still just leasing a phone until you finally separate. i figured I can make out more by buying my phones outright, and selling the old one on Swappa. I only upgrade once a year to the new Nexus, I don't get multiple phones a year. So financially, I am better off without jump.
Off topic, I was seeing a girl from Valley Stream. Nice town, too close to Green Acres though lol. I work close to Long Beach.

Not sure but it does look like you can buy it for the Moto X regardless if you purchased it from moto or from a carrier. There is a drop down that allows you to select your carrier and if you purchased it in the last 30 days.
