Full control of camera - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have full manual control of your stock camera app? I saw an article that lollipop allows full manual control of camera. If possible, any way to enable?

Unfortunately no, you can check it with Manual Camera Compatibility app. This may change in future updates. :fingers-crossed:

This screenshot tells that our device does not have manual control which means camera 2 API is not implemented. Manual control is more than just controlling iso and exposure.
What we have in oos is just app level manual control. Same thing is there in CM13 with snap camera, you can see "ISO control","exposure","white balance" in menu.

Well no actually, the stock OOS camera allows complete manual control over the cameras focus, aperature, etc. OnePlus uses a camera driver in the stock OS that they haven't made public so while it has manual control, no other developers can tap into it or use it in their roms.

Is there a way to add manual camera control to Z2

I know that there is Cyberian Z2 app but I want to know if there is any way the Manual Camera app can run on Z2 with full features like shutter speed control etc.
Hardware not supported.

XZ1 Manual Camera Settings

Hello,
Can anyone with phone check what options there are to setup in manual camera. I have 4 on my xzp, and I see XZ1 have 5, I guess they move ISO now where is WB SS, etc...
Can anyone also confirm that you can change SS and ISO in manual without ISO going back to auto if u change shutter speed. I was happy on my XZP to see shutter speed settings but if i change it, then ISO is on auto
Also did they allow more shutter speed then 1s on xz1?

The first option on the left means reset.
can anyone confirm if you can shoot in raw with third party apps?

The current firmware doesn't allow the usage of the RAW format.

Manual focus on custom rom?

Just wondering, is it possible and how to get manual focus on any custom roms?
There was manual focus option in stock lollipop rom, but i never managed to find some camera app that will let me focus manually so far on custom roms. Im currently using Ressurection Remix 7.1.2.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I know what you're talking about, a fixed slider. It was a nice feature to LG's stock camera app but i'm afraid that's within their closed software and framework and I highly doubt it can be ported to AOSP correct me if im wrong

What's different from other gcams? Latest version of BSG is also working without any issues. Is picture quality better than BSG?

Can you share the link... This is a first gcam which is working perfectly on my Zenfone 5z
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/MGC_6.2.030_MI9SE_V0d.apk
Thank you for this version. This is the first gcam version 6.2 something that I've tried that doesn't have any focus hunting issues in video. The other versions I've tried had focus hunting and the auto focus was very slow. Somehow they affected the stock cameras video foucs too. This version doesn't. Much appreciated

I tried but still freeze.
However, the result is good, as attach. Wish I can see what I'm going to shoot.
