Hey guys, figured I'd share this as I spent quite a bit of time working on this tonight (not because it should have been hard at all, but come to find out all because of a simple spacing issue, but we won't go there ). Anyways, I personally liked the new Cyanogen OS 12 for the Oneplus One's boot animation (Google it, you'll find a preview). Anyways, I simply changed the desc.txt file to be more suited to our device, and it works like a charm now! If anyone is like me and liked that boot animation and would like to give it a shot, then here ya go!
Installation instructions:
- Rename current "bootanimation.zip" in /system/media to "bootanimation.zip.bak" (or something similar)
- Copy the "bootanimation.zip" from this post into /system/media
- Set permissions to rw-r--r--
- Reboot
- ???
- Profit!
Note: As usual, I claim absolutely, positively, and precisely zero credit for this boot animation. I did not make it, the graphics, or anything else in it for that matter, I simply edited a couple lines. Enjoy!

I took this bootanimation from an alpha release of ICS for my phone (otimus g2x).
All I did was resize the animation to 768x1024 to accommodate our TP screen size, I also increased the frame rate to 30 (because that's what I'm used to).
I take no credit for this, all the credit goes to the devs that worked on ICS so far.
Just in case you don't know how to enable this animation:
1. Copy it to your TP.
2. In your file explorer go to system/media and either rename your current bootanimation.zip to something like bootanimation1.zip (if you don't want to lose it) or just delete it.
3. Still in your file explorer, copy the new bootanimation.zip from your sd card to system/media.
4. reboot and enjoy.
From what I saw, this is the same bootanimation that comes with the ICS themed rom in inseaon's thread
Thanks, this also comes with the cm7 xron-ified b2 rom. I like it alot.
Thanks for pointing that out, didn't realize B2 was out!
just drop it in the /data/local dir so you dont have to over write the original.

Sure, go for it. It's nothing compared to the great work you've done with your roms . This bootanimation covers up the whole screen, it might be a little faster because of the 30p but i don't think its noticeable

Thanks bro...
Just so you guys know, not all of these were made by me. The ones I didnt make I have tested on my nook too and they look very good. I have increased the resolution to improve quality on a few.
Hey guys, I just wanted to make an official thread so people can post boot animations they have and/or find, that look good on the nook color. Make sure your reply meets the following requirnment if you want to post an animation:
Have Either a short description (e.g. This is the stock nexus s boot animation in portarit format) or a picture or video to look at of the animation.
Other than those your free to post! Cheers!
*Note: Assume that everything on this page requires a rooted nook color. Also note that these files will need to be renamed to bootanimation.zip if you arent using a boot animation changer. I will also Update this thread from time to time to add more boot animations when I finish them. I also will take requests if you have an idea for one Ill give it a try (as long as its more or less appropriate). =P
*Disclaimer: As for this I think cwirl says it best. I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
Install Instructions:
If your using a boot animation changer you may skip these.
1. Plug your nook into your computer and (if you havent already, rename the file bootanimation.zip) place the bootanimation.zip file in the root of your SD card.
2. Using a root explorer (I suggest ES File Explorer) copy the bootanimation.zip file then switch to device storage and go to the file path; data>local or system>media (with system>media it will overwrite your current boot animation).
3. Paste the bootanimation.zip file in here and overwrite the current one.
4. Reboot and enjoy!
What Animations Are Pack #1?
1. Droid.zip: Similar to the droid Eye, but very different at the same time (my personal favorite).
2. ASUS eee pad Boot Animation.zip: Stcok asus transformer prime landscape.
3. Sony S Tablet Boot Animation.zip: Stock Sony S Tablet boot animation
4. android text.zip: Cool green android landscape text (its very hard to explain).
5. autobot blue.zip: Blue autobot symbol
6. autobot.zip: Red autobot symbol
7. decepticon.zip: Decepticon symbol
8. silverdecepticon.zip: Silver version of decepticon.
MORE ANIMATIONS COMING SOON TO A NOOK NEAR YOU!
Latest as of 06/22/2012
-CM9 Custom Bootanimations Added
Instead of putting the animation zip in >system/media, it'd prolly be better to put the animation in >data/local.
The new animation will still take affect, but without overwriting the stock file, making it easier to revert, just in case.
Update: Also, you prolly should add a step to your install instructions - renaming the downloaded file to bootanimation.zip
Thanks I forgot about data>local. I will replace that step in my instructions . At the beginning I stated the animations needed to be renamed, but thanks for reminding me of the other animation location. I use a boot animal changer because its easier.
For anyone still following this thread, I am getting ready to post a bunch more animations soon. In that pack are, custom and stock CM9 animations, custom and stock CM7 animations, and any other requests I get! If you want your own animation made, PM me and I will gladly do yours first! Cheers!
Thanks! Great share!
thx awesome
Its that time of year agan! Summer is here and I am updating all my threads, apps, and ...well... everything! So I decided to kick off with a new ICS CM9 Bootanimation! I will be able to put more time into XDA this summer so I am all ears if you want to request something or get help. Have fun!
Hey Guys
I wanted to post my first Boot Animation Made by me, and there are more to come. The name of this Animation is called Maserati Madness. It basically a video clip of a Maserati GT around the track (Top Gear) This is the first time I done something like this, so I would like to hear you guys opinion.
How To Install:
OPTION 1: Use BootAnimation Factory to install it
OPTION 2:
Use ES File Explorer.
Mount the System as R/W
Paste the Boot Animation in the folder where your stock BootAnimation is installed (either /data/local/ or /system/customize/resource/)
Download Link: http://d-h.st/gbI
I don't know how to preview my boot animation, but I will post a couple snapshots of it. If anyone could show me how, that would be awesome.
Thanks
Link is dead mate....
Not sure if it's already been posted elsewhere. When Google Edition KitKat ROM's first dropped for our normal S4's, I tried the old boot-animation mod by Anbek and it didn't work.
Well, fast-forward a couple months and I re-visited his thread yesterday and he has a fix that works great.
And the cool thing is you no longer nead the QMG boot animations like 4.3 Google Edition did. Now you can use normal .zip Boot Animations. :good:
1) Go to his thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897969
2) Click "thanks" for his hard work.
3) Download this file from the 4th post in the thread: "CWM_CustomBootanimation_44_Enable.zip"
4) Reboot to recovery and flash that file.
5) Boot normally and you'll probably still see the regular boot animation for now.
6) Google 1080P Boot Animations and find a non-CWM_flashable one that you like. It should be in filename.zip format.
https://www.google.com/search?q=108....xda-developers.com&num=50&espv=210&es_sm=122
7) Change the name to "bootanimation.zip".
8) Copy the file to /data/local on your phone (delete any bootanimation.zip already there).
9) Reboot and enjoy your new boot animation. :good:
Here is a thread with 81 different 720p (xhdpi) boot animations. These are originals, not the usual thing going around. To get them to work on our phone, just open the zip and change the text document to reflect a resolution of 1080 x 1920 instead of 720 x 1280.

This one is probably the best boot animation I have ever used. A combination of Marvel and DC comics characters, it is a must-have for any Marvel or DC fan. It has almost all the popular superheroes like Batman, Superman, Flash, Captain America, Ironman, Hulk, Wolverine and many more. Just try it once and you will never want to switch to any other boot animation ever! It will definitely flaunt your device and set it apart from others. People will start noticing it as soon as you start using it. And they will probably be surprised how did you do this magic! Just kidding! But yeah, you will definitely start getting questions like "How did you do it?" "Please help me getting it" etc. Just smile and make a face like "Hey it's a magic"!! Try it to believe it.
Requirement:
1. A rooted Nokia 7 plus device (International version)
2. The bootanimation zip file given below.
3. Common sense and patience.
Instruction to use:
You don't really need to flash the zip file. I will make it very simple for you. Just download the zip file from the given link. The zip file will be like "bootanimation.zip". Now just open ES file explorer or any file manager with root access. Now locate the downloaded bootanimation.zip file and copy it. Now go to /system/CDA/600WW/Power-on-animation and you will see there is already a bootanimation.zip file. That is your current boot animation zip file. Just rename the current bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip1 for future reference and now paste the downloaded bootanimation.zip file that you copied earlier. Now just restart your device and enjoy all the superheroes on your device. Please note, it won't replace the stock "AndroidOne" splash screen that shows at the beginning. If you want to get rid of the Nokia tune at the starting, just remove the Power-on-Wakeup.wav. Once you set up the new bootanimation, don't forget to give it rw-r-r permission.
If you like the boot animation, don't forget to hit Thanks. It would inspire me to give you more cool boot animations like this.
Note: If you want to see who are all the superheroes there waiting to be unleashed, just download the zip and unzip it to see all the images there.
Disclaimer: Any changes to /system will break OTA update. Hence, you are requested to either take a complete backup of your device or get ready to sideload OTAs manually. I am not responsible for device bricking or bootloop.

U can better make a Magisk module for this to avoid OTA issue
