I have the T-mobile Galaxy S6 Edge. I got it before the release date, it worked fine for the first 2 days and after that, it started to lag. I do not know why. I installed clean master, cleaned it up and everything. It then started to lag. My touches would get a response about 4 to 5 seconds later. It was horrible. Anyone else experiencing this? What can be a possible conclusion for this? I read somewhere that an OTA update might have messed with the battery, so how can I restore to stock? and flash via kies or something of that sort. ALSO, the phone starts to heat up. If i'm just on Instagram or just using it, it will heat up on the right middle. Is it possible that I might have gotten a defective? Thank you!
I'm noticing that the device is lagging if I don't reboot it each day.

Same for me. Google fit seemed to be the culprit for me. Maybe give that a shot?

It seems to me ever since the latest update my tablet has gotten worse. I have wayyy more freezes and way more reboots. I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
I thought updates were supposed to get better not worse. What is going on?
Also I am rooted but only running six axis. And I have done a soft reset using a paper clip.
Pity , people don´t know how to set up their prime
Push the pinhole next to the sdcard.
Push for more than 30 seconds. this should help

Hello, just wanted to post here and see if anyone else was having similar experiences with their phone.
So I have the ATT Mega, and it has been working fine for a little over a month now from when I first got it, love the phone. Last week or so, I noticed the battery would seem to drain much faster then usual and the back top part of the phone, where the camera lens is, would heat up very badly even when not using it.
I tried killing apps, restarting, nothing seemed to work. I checked the app manager and the battery stats, nothing out of the ordinary but the drain was there and the heat was so bad you really didnt want to hold it.
I contacted ATT and they sent me a replacement which I received last night. I turned it on and was trying it out and within minutes that phone started heating up in the same spot too.
They didnt send me a new battery because oddly enough the battery or that entire area in the back would not get hot at all, only the top half.
I contact them again today and they said they would send me a battery to try but I am scared it will not work again.
I also have a 64gb SD card that I use, but it is the same one I have used in my Note 2 and now this phone with no problem. I am currently using a Note 3 with the same SD and have no issues.
I would love to go back to my Mega though, I actually prefer it to my Note 3 but I am worried about this issue reoccuring or not getting fixed in the first place. Anyone else have anything similar to this with their Mega??
Mike
I have noticed it gets warm, but only when streaming videos. Just browsing the web or listening to music/iheartradio, nothing gets uncomfortable. I just notice the warmth after many minutes of streaming. Not uncomfortable either. Now I do have a case on it, so maybe that's why it doesn't seem as bad.
I have an i9205, but it's basically identical hardware. I've never had any overheating issues of any kind. Recently I've been running the "performance" CPU governor too, which locks the CPU at 1.7ghz constantly and yet I've never been able to make the phone throttle itself back.
Thanks for the responses! I am having ATT ship me a replacement battery to try that, hopefully it arrives today. I just dont understand why it would heat up so badly on both my original phone and their replacement one for me. I would think it has to be the battery or the SD card, but the card has no issues in my Note 3 and it didnt have problems in my original Mega for a month.
Crossing my fingers that it is just the battery so I can go back to using my Mega, I miss it -.-
I noticed my Mega getting warm in the same location last night, but didn't have battery drain. This is a replacement Mega since I bricked my pervious one, but never had that problem with that phone. Today, after being fully charged and not used while at work, I checked my phone and it was 15% and warm. So I turned off WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth and plugged it in a 1 amp charger, 13% and still warm after a few minutes. Airplane mode, 12% and still warm after a few minutes. Turned the phone off and charging for an hour, phone is cool and 37% (makes since). Phone has been on, charging, and WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth turned off for 43 minutes, phone is cool and 56%. Now I'm turning WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth on individually to see if it repeats. I'll keep you posted on my results.
Thanks! I will wait to see your results!
Ive no issue with mine...
Well, sorry to say, it's been almost a month of me playing with this phone trying to duplicate my one time overheating with no luck. I've WiFi streamed for hours, transfered huge files over BT, viewed videos, and anything else I can think of with nothing. Maybe it was a fluke...who knows.

My friend kind of had the similar situation... in his case he changed the phone
My Samsung Galaxy 6.3 is getting hot on the ear piece and the back of the phone where the camera lense is. What's the problem? I need to know if I need a new battery or if it's the Motherboard I need to replace and will the phone blow up in my face till I fix this problem?
hi team. i hope someone can shed some light on this issue.
my i9205 shuts down randomly while on sleep. this happened when i was on stock. now i have rooted it and flashed CM11 and it still happens. i've already disabled all motion and gesture related settings. apparently, this just happens when its in my pocket or bag. i would put it on a desk/table when i sleep or work and it doesn't shut down. its not like its getting bumped or squeezed while its in my pocket or bag. just tucked away and next time i check its already off.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm root with I527M Rogers and shutdown twice last week.
My mega restarting about 2-3 times a week. Same problem on the stock rom and after flashing to CM11 4.4.2. The only solution for now is disabling a pin code, to let the phone restart fully...
Mine does the same thing at least once a week. Not a big deal as it usually does it when I'm not using it.
Sometimes, on some phones, if your battery is a little loose and not making good contact it can cause it to reboot by losing power for a second or so when putting the phone in your pocket or moving it around.
It happens with some aftermarket batteries.
On one of my older phones I had to put a sliver of cardboard at the end of the battery to make it fit tighter.
I'm not saying that this is your problem but its something you may not have thought to check.

That's not problem with my mega, i have original battery and it fit perfectly :-/
The camera is great, but sometimes it can use from 2-5 seconds to focus if is focuses at all.
I'm suspecting it to be a hardware issue because when i shake the phone the camera focuses.
Are anyone else experiencing similar problems?
Yes, on the Galaxy S6 (non-Edge).
I have exactly the same problem on samsung galaxy s6 edge
Went to the store to get a replacement, but apparently Samsung only replaces the phone the first week and I bought it two weeks ago. They therefore had to send it to get repaired
I also have this intermittantly, sometimes also the flash is off and when I try to turn on again it says the phone needs to cool down before flash is used, The phone was barely luke warm, anybody else had this happen?

Bummer... have the exact same thing! First week no problems, but since a day or two this started to happen. And I just found out the same as you: when I shake, it dóes focus. On a sidenote: when it happens, mine seems to be stuck on macrofocus.
If this lasts for one more week I'll go back to the Samsung Store where I bought it
Same here. Samsung said go to walk in service. No replacement.
After two repairs, they finally change the camera, and things are good now.

Hi guys,
My beloved 64GB Green S6 Edge that i bought on August started today to randomly reboot several times a day. Sometimes in an interval of less than 5 minutes between reboots. My S6 Edge is on stock android 5.1.1 G925F and it has never been dropped or experienced this problem before. I don't recall installing any new apps for this to happen, but almost on a daily basis i get apps updates by the Play Store.
I have lots of lots of applications installed of all sorts. From Amiga Commodore Emulators to Nintendo Gamecube, and everything you can think of. Out of the 64GB i have 12GB remaining and they are most of them on apps.
The problem started today in the morning, i wasn't doing anything... just taking a photo on one of my classes. The problem was experienced several times when taking photos really quick out of the photo shortcut in the lockscreen. Though now today in the night it ... something new happened.... It shut down completely and instead of rebooting it didn't want to restart but was dead. I couldn't turn it on. Until randomly it turned some minutes later. I have not yet done a soft or hard reset and i am backing up my phone as we speak.
Is this a common issue with the S6 Edge??? What could be happening??? My phone had these applications and emulators installed since a month ago and i never had any issues. I bought it out from Amazon.
What should i try? I think it can be conflicting apps.
Thanks.
Maria
I forgot to mention that the phone gets extremely hot at the upper right hand corner. I just noticed this.
it restarted in safe mode, i'm going to try it again.... tomorrow and see if it restarts in safe mode.
I'm afraid you have waaaay too many apps on it which never close, causing the phone to overheat as it's never really resting.
I just re erased the partition cache and its been working fine for a day. Ill wait 3 days and see if its cured !
No, my phone kept on dying... Samsung told me it was defective, amazon issued a full refund for $800.
