I do. It seems to be a bit better because i am using the built in email app for all my gmail accounts
Had the same problem when using the email app instead of the gmail.
I suggest trying to go into recovery and clearing out the cache.
Pull the battery
Hold volume up + home + power till u get the boot screen with blue letters in the top left
Use volume down to scroll down to clear cache
Press power to select
Press lower when done to reboot.
If this doesn't work might I suggest try logging out of your email/Gmail and logging back in.
If that don't work update PRL and profile.
After that might have to do a factory reset.
(if u have twrp then wipe the cache and dalvik like your used to)
I forgot to update the thread but I cleared the cache and it seems to be working perfectly. Thanks for the assistance!

My home button works in clockwork but does not work when I've fully booted into android. Home does not work in any app, the peacock 'n' on the touchscreen work in the web browser but some apps like Pocket Legends require me to shut down the tablet to exit.
Rom is stock 3588.
Background: I recently had the 'force close' problem, and my PC was unusable because of home remodeling, so I couldn't do any fix that required a computer. At work I had read that clearing some information I.e. contacts could help, so I tried that when I got home. I also read in settings/applications I could clear contacts data, so I tried that. No love for either fix, but I still had no home PC access, so I went ahead and cleared data from a bunch of system apps (thinking that If I had to re-flash anyways it wouldn't matter). Maybe that disabled my home key. I also deleted a few apps, and I know some apps disable the home key. Maybe deleting an app when I was having framework problems disabled the home key? My home pc is running again and I used another solution that did not require flashing or partitioning: I installed clockwork, ran 'fix permissions' and the force close issue is fixed but still no home button. If I boot into clockwork the home button works fine (after all, you need the home button in clockwork). A reboot, or ten reboots, will not solve the problem.
I have done an internet search for 'disable android home button' and 'enable'. I have found apps for button remapping but I would rather not use an app for a bandaid.
Anyone have any advice that does not include 'flash a new ROM'?
Edit: the borked home button happened before I used clockwork, so I don't suspect clockwork. Also, when I press the power button to turn off the tab I get two options: power off, or sleep. There used to be more options, I forget what they were because I never used them but perhaps one was airplane mode. Maybe whatever disabled the home button also changed teh power button menu options.
Mike, were you able to fix your problem?

I lived without the hardware button working for about 3 weeks, and a couple of days ago I booted the tab and it took me to the stock, first time setup. ug! apps wiped, and force closes, but media and app save data was still there. and the HOME BUTTON WORKED AGAIN! i also had all four options back in the shutdown menu. I did 'fix permissions' and reinstalled all my apps; the app save data was still there, but afaik titanium will only back up app data if the app is installed. backed up apps and turned those leamons into leamonade by switching to vegan 5.1.1 with vtl launcher. way better tablet experience and angry birds still works.
Since I unlocked the bootloader, and re-loaded my apps and system data, the stupid sync / arrow icon in the status bar will not go away... any idea on what process my be causing this, so I can freeze it's ass! Thanks for your help.
Mine has been doing that for over a month. Never could figure out how to fix it. I just froze Contacts Sync 2.2.2 and it seems to do the trick.
I have also noticed TIB automatically freezes ContactsUnconnected 2.2.2 everytime I reboot. Don't know if this is related or not.
No-risk attempt: did you try (in the gmail app) to clear cache / clear data / force stop and then restart gmail?
Edit: Or maybe go to settings->accounts->google and un-tick everything, reboot and then try enabling the syncs again? I'm just throwing ideas..
Yeah I think I tried everything. Even had some motor experts on the motor support forums trying to help. Never could figure it out. I think I left it up for like 4 days and it never shut off. So I just froze it.

After installing the HKTW Gingerbread, my lockscreen has disappeared, and the home button isn't working. It's tedious, to the say the least, to have to press the back button about 10 times to get to the home screen.
I've looked online, and it seems people just had to enable the lockscreen again. I can't find the option to disable it or enable it.
From what I remember reading last night some people had success getting their home button working after either restoring data or taking out their battery/putting back in.
I didn't back up data :/
I've pulled the battery several times, to no effect. Its quite annoying lol

Bump, can no one help me with this? Or should I just flash back?
Me too
I'm running 1.83 with an unlocked bootloader. My problem presents itself as no lock screen, home button and search buttons do not work for single press or long press (but do still provide haptic feedback), and holding down the power button only gives the option to power off, not airplane mode or silent.
Factory Data Reset fixes the problem until the power turns off.
Did you restore system data with titanium?
i had the same prob and had pulled the batter 1/2 a dozen times before i saw this thread. didn't help, so titanium to the rescue. not sure what it would take to fix it aside from that, but that was absurd and aggravating to no end, fsck that.
The reason I asked the question was because when I restored all of my system data, this happened to me. I started over again but this time I didn't restore my finger printer scanner data and for the first four packages with "accounts" in their name. Now I have a completely working 2.3.4 with the proper AT&T market.
I didn't do a TiBu before I went to Gingerbread, and had the same problems. Interestingly enough, after installing the build.prop fix, a few hours later I locked the screen and when I turned it back on the lock screen was back.
mine is completely gone too
i had this problem when attempting to restore data via titanium backup. reflashed and downloaded apps fresh, and no problems.
Were you able to figure it out, our did you reflash?
Can anyone please upload the titanium backup for system data?
Whenever I flash cm7 after a few downloads I get android.process.media fcs sorry if this was answered before but I couldn't find any help. At first cm7 was fine I then wanted to try nihilism when I wanted to for back to cm7 these started and continue every time I flash it any help?

Try clearing the cache via Manage Applications > All > Media Storage then reboot.
Still FC'ing
I have been having this issue as well. I noticed in running apps that Lookout was running android.process.media inside it, so I completely uninstalled Lookout, but the issue still exists. I cannot download or update anything from the market at all. I have cleared all cache including Dalvik cache. I am running the latest CM7 (CM7.1.0-Supersonic , Build GWK74) on an HTC Evo4g. Has anyone gotten this completely fixed without re-flashing the phone again?
Also, application called Torch is crashing every single time I tap the light bulb to use the camera LED as a flashlight. I do not use the High Brightness setting and the only way to actually get it to turn off is to go back into it when it crashes and select the Strobe feature and let it crash out again. Then it will actually turn off without having to reboot the phone, but it still shows the torch icon in the top corner. The FC error is : process.net.cactii.flash2
Any thoughts?
Thanks for all your help.
Thanks for posting this.
I just had the same problem, uninstalled lookout, and my media.process hasn't crashed anymore.
I had this issue a month ago, cleared some cache and didn't do anything. I installed different radio and it solved the problem at the time.
Any possible workarounds for getting off the retrieve pattern lock if you have forgotten a gmail acct? Done doing factory reset via cwm and tried installing stock rom and kernel but it always ends the same way. With customs, I always get a bootloop.

i seems an answer is in the post a few below yours::
Samsung Galaxy SCH-i500 how to bypass "Login with google account" screen?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182268
Quote:
1. Completely power off and power on your Galaxy-S phone.
2. Right after you pass the Galaxy-S and just before the Verizon Wireless logo video ends, immediately tap on the home button extremely fast and repeatedly (at least 4-5 times per second). If the Emergency Call button pops up, click that every now and then (3-5 times) but keep tapping on the home button. During this process your phone may flash the password screen or keypad screen just a few times and your phone will seem to be lagging due to the tapping.
3. Keep tapping until you see your Android home buttons stay steady at the bottom. Voila, you’re in your phone! If the emergency keypad constantly shows up or if it shows the Google account screen constantly, you have failed. The success rate can be around 15-50% so keep trying until it works. (You may want to grab a young phone-savvy guy or girl to do it if your fingers are too slow)
4. Find and run the Settings App and go to Accounts & Sync.
5. Under Manage Accounts, remove all accounts except your Google account.
6. Press your power button off and on and enter your correct Google account information.
7. It will ask for a new security pattern. Enter it twice and you are done!
This solution worked for me. If it does for you, please leave a comment with your carrier and phone model to let others know that it worked!
... but worked just fine.
.
will try this method. will keep you posted if successful or not.
managed to get in. but now theres a new one. somehowmthe owner had a tw launcher installed and im'm stuck on fc error message. if i try to close it, i'm back on the gmail acct retrieval. hmmmmm.....
Looks to me that o won't he able to do the above steps. Hands are too slow. Also found out that it's like a common issue to the sgs stock recovery. Used odin and flashed cwm 2.5.1.x instead amd wipe from there. Worked like a charm.
