[Q] Unlocked symbol on bootscreen? - Nexus 9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just wondering if the N9 has a unlocked symbol on the bootscreen when it is unlocked like the old N7 2012 did. I know it has the text on the hboot screen, but I just wanted to check.
Picture for reference:

Hi, USBhost...
As a matter of curiosity, HOW?
My N9 is bootloader unlocked, and there's no unlocked padlocked symbol upon boot... And I'm not sure there's a way of adding one. Not that it critically matters, of course.

Ged.

You should have posted this in the device forum that it belongs to. As I have an S2 and never have seen this icon I am sure it is from an app you installed.

Turn off silent mode and I bet it disappears.

Device failed verification- never been rooted

Starting to see this when I start the phone, and Android pay no longer works ?

Any thoughts? Not sure what's going on...
Edit:
My bad I read the message wrong, did you unlock the bootloader? Android pay not working is normal for an unlocked bootloader.
Although mine says "and cannot be trusted" not "and may not work properly"
Was it used? And assuming you didn't unlock the bootloader or buy it used in this state, I'd get in touch with Lenovo/Moto
I have the exact same error. There are pages and pages of occurrences on Lenovo's support forums. This is not user caused and has been happening to phones with no attempts to unlock the bootloader and/or root.
If you have a Verizon phone, there's a fix. For all others, needs to be sent out for a cable reflash. I would love it if someone came up with a fix so I don't have to send out my phone, but haven't seen anything yet.
Did you ever manage to get this fixed?

Same problem here, i've never got through this part. Have you found a solution?
Hi guys,
I know that this is an old post but I try to ask.
I would like to give a new life to this phone (Lg Spirit H420 bought in Italy).
I have same problem, I am stuck in the "Unlock bootloader?" screen.
Do you know how to unlock the bootloader? If I press any button my phone does nothing.
Thanks in advance!

SM-S102DL A10E

obviously no dedicated thread for this device so I thought I'd ask here, how would I fix DRK or [enablefilecrypto_failed] message on this device? has no root, no oem, locked bootloader, FRP on, no custom anything? SM-S102DL R 11 I tried everything from simple reboot to creating combo file from firmware.
Anyone? how bout a point in the right direction as far as this cheap piece of incredible technology is concerned.. ??
thanks..
EDIT: ok, that was too hard of a question, how about this one? how to bypass FRP on in download mode without root without any custom anything?

Question What's a dynamic system update image?

It gives me the option of selecting one of these 2

Whoa!! ...STOP if u are unfamiliar with using GSI/DSU images!
I don't use them myself but flashing one may bork ur phone unless u know what ur doing. Someone here or in the correct XDA section can tell u more.
That won't flash the image, but just load it in memory.
It will also not work with a locked bootloader.
If your bl is locked DONT EV3N LOOK AT DSU LOADER

Ain't gotta tell me twice. I'll leave that alone for another time.
