I rooted my phone about two weeks ago and everything when fine. I installed safestrap 3.75 and made a backup of the phone. Now three weeks later the phone started freezing and when I boot into safestrap it wont let me select anything. So I used oden and restored the phone back to factory no root and it is still freezing. It freezes when ever it wants to. So there is no particular app causing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What did you flash back on and to? Did you make sure when rooting your phone you flashed the NK1 kernel again?
Yes I flashed the nk1 kernel back after root. When it started freezing three weeks later I flashed it back to unrooted original. I flashed it with I545VRUFNK1.

I just got a CDMA Droid Razr Maxx 2 weeks ago. On day 1 I rooted and installed Safestrap 1.09 and Eclipse 1.73 (I think?). Been running that rom every day and loving it.
Well, last night my friend decided he wanted to play with my phone for a little bit and see if he wanted to upgrade to that (he's on a D1). I thought I'd switch out of Safeboot mode and back to stock because he does everything stock. No rooting, hell, no other launchers for him even. I did that and he played around with it and gave it back like 10 minutes later.
I went to toggle safemode back on and it said it failed because it couldn't copy the data back. Weird. Well, I tried a few more times, I tried selective restore of backups, etc. Booted back into stock and uninstalled and reinstalled SafeStrap. Nothing worked.
So I went home and RSD'd back to .748 using this file. It installed fine. Booted back into Safestrap, enabled safemode, worked fine. Installed Eclipse. After about 30-45 minutes of the boot animation, it finally loaded. No signal. Whatsoever.
So, a quick Google search told me that it was because I was using a version of Eclipse not compatible with my current radios. Back to stock. Checked for OTA update, there's one available. It downloads, approximately 151mb. Attempt to install: Failed.
I've tried the OTA about 4 times before downloading this file to attempt the OTA manually. But Safestrap won't install zips from the SD card except when Safeboot is enabled.
What should my next step be? Where do I go from here? I'm so frustrated, I can't even think straight.
tldr: Had Safestrap+Eclipse rom running fine, turned of safeboot and couldn't turn it back on. Fastbooted back to .748, reinstalled Eclipse, no service. Can't do OTA to 12.173

Did you uninstall safestrap before you rsd'd?

Install .173 (next-to-latest OTA) with RSD. DroidRzr has a howto with file images.
Eclipse, last I used it, was built around .173 (not .181, the latest). I'd use that.
Check the available space for SafeStrap to store its backups. Your pal may have run you out of room.
Golden Rule: never let anyone touch your phone. If they touch your phone without permission, break all of their fingers.
I am a bit of a noob but I have rooted my sprint note 3 which came out successful. I have rooted my galaxy s3 before in the past and flashed many roms without any issues.
Once I rooted my note 3 I ran the stock rom for a week and then decided to kick it up a notch and flashed the bonsai rom, which worked fine until i discovered the camera didn't work. Before I flashed the bonsai rom, I did a backup of the stock rom via cwm. Once I figured out the camera didn't work with the bonsai rom, I reset and wiped the data for my phone and tried to restore the stock rom which i figured it was a boo boo because I got stuck in a bootloop so I reflashed the bonsai rom back on my phone until I got back home to my pc. At that point, I decided to unroot and return the phone back to stock. I used odin and followed unrooting instructions to a tee and I had an official stock firmware, but odin failed and I think I may have soft bricked my phone. In a panic, I downloaded a "rooted stock" rom and flashed that...after a few bootloops, I updated my cwm recovery and superuser app...and my phone has been working fine every since (whew). I really want to unroot, then re-root and just run the stock rom without flashing any more custom roms, however I am afraid of bricking it again.
I have the stock official firmware N900PVPUBMJ4_N900PSPTBMJ4_N900PVPUBMJ4_HOME.tar.md 5 which to my understanding is android 4.3. I do understand that 4.4 is out. I was wondering is it ok to flash the 4.3 using odin to return my phone back to stock?? I've been spooked ever since my soft brick encounter. Any info will be helpful. Btw, sorry for the long story. I figured I should give all the details. That would help me get to the bottom of it all
Thanks in Advance!

Depends on what version you are running, but sounds like you are on mj4 still... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657828 this one is mj4 (4.3), if you are on 4.4 you need to go to the Android development forum and use whatever version you are on, just look for rwilcos one click.

Follow the instructions from this thread and you will be fully unrooted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657828:good:
A couple of weeks ago I bought a Galaxy Note 2 from Simple Mobile began to experiment with it. Later on I managed to root it, but I accidentally flashed a recovery via Rom Manager which after a restart broke my phone.
After that I flashed a OTA through Odin of Verizon 4.1.2. The system booted and everything but the radio was missing meaning that I could not text or use 3G. I looked for many ways to restore it but none worked.
I later on flashed a T-Mobile ROM thinking it will help restore the radio and it did successfully flash the ROM through the recovery. But the ROM turned out to be 4.3 and the radio still didn't work. Later on in the same day I flashed an OTA of T-Mobile through Odin and that's when this happened. My phone bootloops really fast when I turn it on. The recovery doesn't show up at all. And every time I flash anything through Odin it fails. I've felt ashamed all this time and it took me a while to reflect and face what I've done and decided to post on here to get help.
Thanks for reading! Any help is appreciated. I will try every method that gets posted and will post back results.

I have a very similar problem. hope you get help on this, I have been trying to fix this problem for a month.
The 4.3 update is where the issue came from if it will allow you to flash try using a custom rom to get you out the boot loop but because the 4.3 bootloader is locked you now have another issue you will now have to run a virtual rom and there is a certain way you have to do it or you will completely brick your phone try researching first Google your phone model with the rom build 4.3 root you have to root it now before you can do any modifications at this point

Hi all, I got myself in a bind here. I came from NK1 stock. I used ODIN to downgrade to NC5, TowelRooted, ODINed back to NK1. Installed BusyBox and Safestrap. Made a backup of stock slot in Safestrap. Everything up to that point was flawless.
So I created ROM slot 1 in Safestrap, and installed Hyperdrive v20. The install seemed to go well, but upon booting into Hyperdrive, there was no WiFi. Stock still had WiFi. No big deal, just need to flash gigilie's WiFi fix, right? Well I installed the zip in Safestrap, no errors occurred, but it did not fix WiFi.
So I decided to go back to stock until I could figure out the problem, but suddenly my PIN code no longer worked on the lock screen; I had to factory reset stock. Now that I've done the factory reset, there's no WiFi in stock, either. What's my next step?
Tried installing I545_NK1_Modules.zip, no change. I think I'll try muniz_ri's I545_NK1_Stock_Rooted_Safestrap_Backup.rar and I545_NK1_Stock_Partitions.tar.md5 when I get home from work. Any suggestions are welcomed.
Yup, muniz_ri's Alternative Safestrap Method seems to have fixed it. Back on rooted stock with everything working. I think I'll hold off on custom ROMs until more information about NK1 is available. It's hard to sift through so much information, much of which is not applicable to NK1.
Hello!
I really do not like the look of lollipop so I decided I would try and root my phone today to get the upgrade message to go away and tweak everything I've always read about/wanted to!
I followed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t-i545vrufnk1-4-4-2-12-1-2014-t2959613/page43
With the intent of installing safestrap afterwards: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56030788&postcount=2281
Funny thing is... The first few flashing attempts of the NC5 kernel failed. I started from the beginning again and used a usb port at the back of the computer. It seems to have worked but most people I saw talked about the flashing process taking a matter of minutes. Mine took a matter of seconds... but nonetheless said ''PASS!". I checked whether NC5 was actually on the phone in the settings and it didn't appear... I tried towelroot anyways which also said that it had ran successfully and to reboot.
Rebooted... Phone restarts at random (bootloop? Im sure this can be fixed by flashing the NC5 back to the phone). I figured it was instability due to the NC5 kernel. I downloaded Chainfire SuperSU and RootChecker by joeykrin.
Rootchecker did not verify.
SO I still don't have root. My phone says it's on the NK1 kernel and now it's rather unstable...
What should I do? : /
UPDATE: Last night I tried flashing the NK1 kernel. It said pass but did the same thing... worked in like 3 seconds. Phone is back to normal.
Could someone help me figure out why the flashing process is not working for me? (why it passes in 3-4 seconds and says pass but it still shows NK1 on my phone)
Thanks!
