ozrly flexislim or Ringke slim? - Nexus 6 Accessories

Anybody have these cases and can give some pros and cons of each?

I've owned both, unfortunately my Ringke slim cracked but it was a decent case, i still have the Orzly and i love it, people usually complain about how flimsy the button area is, hasn't bugged me enough to complain, if you want something thin id give it a shot (Just dont go thinking it will protect your phone from falls, it's more like a skin), I've been using the Diztronic Full Matte Black and it seems to be my fav so far aside from the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Only downside on the Diztronic for me, is the oem cable for turbo charging doesn't fit completely through the case. It does go through enough to charge the phone however but I am picky on things like that lol.

Ringke all the way, had it for my N4, N5 and N6 now.
Currently rocking Spigen Slim Ultra Crystal, Ringke Slim Crystal and Ringke Slim black.

i love the flexislim, will only use cases as thin as this.
but too bad my white one turned yellow.
and shipping from them is too expensive to my country......

I have the Ringke fusion and I'm happy with it. The dust covers are, useful, but impervious they are not. The screen protector that comes with it is middling at best.

Here's another one, Sojitek. I'm currently using this one in my rotation of thin cases along with the Ringke Slim, Ringke Fusion and Spigen Hybrid.

I guess it depends on what day it is, what case you use. I'm up to about to about 8 cases now. I change often.

Rinke vs spigen

Mods, I know there's a ringke thread and a spigen thread but this is comparing them side by side. If you think this shouldn't be here fine, let me know.
I have been using a spigen ultra hybrid, ok but not great. It looks and feels cheap, the back is very slick and slippery, and overall it is only just ok. I had bought a slim armor as well and disliked that so much I sent it back immediately.
I just got the ringke fusion today and love it, much better than the spigens. First of all, it's much nicer to hold, it feels better and isn't nearly as slick. Secondly, it has dust covers but if you don't like them it's easy to cut them off and not even know they were there. Third thing is imo it just looks better than the spigen, it gives off a higher quality look.
If you haven't ordered a case yet I'd go with the fusion over any spigen at all. I'm definitely going together the max when it's available.
A thread already exists with this same exact title, http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/accessories/ringke-vs-spigen-t2953095
I'm glad that you feel that way about the case though, I made a order of the Ringke Fusion and Ringke SLIM for a total of $15. I currently am using the spigen ultra hybrid as a placeholder. My biggest grip with the Ultra Hybrid was that the volume rocker and power button was so close apart that sometimes, I'd misclick the wrong button.
For the Fusion, it separates the two but for the Spigen, I like how they offered more colors. I personally love the color of the Metal Slate. It looks and blends in nicely with Midnight Blue.
Also you forgot to mention that Ringke includes a free screen protector. Not that its tempered glass but the extra bonuses without any additional cost is always nice to have.
Just got my fusion too and I love the way the buttons feel. Best case to me so far.

Tudia Ultra Slim Lite vs. Diztronic Matte Black TPU

Hi everyone, just switched from my Nexus 5 to an LG G3 today. First priority is to pick up a decent case and screen protector combo.
Been reading on the forums but haven't really found many definitive answers.
I've been looking at 2 cases:
-Tudia Ultra Slim Lite
-Diztronic Matte Black TPU
If anybody can shed some light on which will offer a better fit and grip/feel in the hand, and which is more compatible with a wide variety of screen protectors,
it would be greatly appreciated.
Lastly, I've noticed a ton of screen protectors seem to have one large rectangular cutout for the earpiece and sensors which I do not like.
Which companies offer the most screen coverage? (Doesn't have to be glass)
I've noticed these Spigen Crystal Clear protectors show precision cuts but who knows how accurate that is
http://www.amazon.ca/Protector-Spig...373279&sr=8-5&keywords=lg+g3+screen+protector
I would like to put in orders this weekend so I can start using this badboy to its full potential!
Thank you in advance, hopefully I'll be able to shed light on other questions in return sometime soon.
Tudia melody
Caseology
Cruzetlite bugdroid
Diztronics makes great quality cases. Was not a fan of the feel of tudia case for my g2. Cruzerlite cases are legit as well.
I don't have any pictures, but I have the Diztronic and love it. It has a nice feel and doesn't smudge like a gloss tpu would.
It's paired with a Zagg glass screen protector and fits well. For a glass that has precise cutouts the PThink brand that can be found on Amazon has just the earpiece cutout. I would have gotten that one if I found it before buying the Zagg.

Thanks for the replies guys, I ended up ordering the Diztronic + Spigen Crystal clear protectors
Just thought I'd give an update here, possibly for anyone looking for a good case for their phone.
Got my diztronic in the mail today, and it makes me wonder why I never bothered to order one of their cases in the past.
For the price you pay, you're getting a great fitting case which looks good and feels good in the hand. Doesn't seem to add much extra bulk to the phone either.

Did you get the regular TPU case or the ultra version of it? Both are nice! I'd also recommend the Tactical Impact by Tech21. It is similar to the Diztronic but the TPU is more rugged and interior is lined with D3O material. Awesome case for $20

I opted for just the regular diztronic TPU as I didn't want to add any significant bulk to the phone but still have some sort of scratch protection
One thing that worries me about it though is if the matte coating were to start rubbing off.
This happened to a rearth ringke case I purchased for my Galaxy S2 way back when. That was quite disappointing
You shouldn't need to worry about wear on the diztronic case. I've had one on my Galaxy S3 for a couple years without any visible wear and it goes everywhere with me.

Any recommendation for a slim protecting case?

So I bought the Spigen slim armor with kickstand case just recently and found that it is rather a thick case and added bulk to the N6. It in turns made the N6 not be able to fit the car mount I bought. Anyone got recommendation for a good slim case?

Ringke Slim Case.
But keep in mind. Slim cases like this offers less protection.
I really like my Diztronic case. It's thin and feels well protected. A few videos on YouTube where people do drop tests and it came out without a scratch.

Got the diztronic... its not like its slim
The slimmest i have is ringke
Try Orzly case, it is very very thin.
The Ringke Max is actually pretty 'slim' with a lot of protection. If you want close to naked feel, then the Ringke Slim might be best, but really not that much protection.

I bought the Spigen Ultra Hybrid (clear), Thin Fit (clear), Slim Armor and S Wallet. IMO the Slim Armor fit and looked the best, but FAT. The TPUs just made the phone uber FAT(er). The wallet hinge/flap/binder thing is too loose and flabby [I wanted tight form fitting].
I ordered several generic gel jelly slim TPU.
First one to arrive is one with a logo that reads INSTEN and I am very impressed by it.
It's tight (queue up Micheal Meyers), lip is thin and holds on to the frame without going over on to the glass, barely raised ever so slightly higher than the screen.
It makes the screen/viewing pop out (it might be the color I chose, yellow).
The cutouts are great, the thinly covered raised areas over the power and volume rocker are just right (if you have the slim armor you might experience what I have, where touching the buttons is just too sensitive).
Grippy and sturdy. Knocked some on the table, I'd use it to press some buttons, sure..
I might go order more colors.
Usually I like Goospery Mercury Gel TPU cases on my phones, but haven't found any made for the N6.
EDIT: easy in and out from pocket.
Thanks guys for your suggestions. I think I'm going to go with the slick wraps full body because it does not add any bulk and provide some protection.

That INSTEN case is identical to the Caseology cases. Probably made in china, and companies just put their own name on it. But they look OK with medium protection.

I'm not doubting your choice, as it's your phone. But any "protection" you get from a skin will be just to prevent scratches and no drop protection. Good luck.

I dont have the caseology, but from the images I can agree, sans dimple. It's a good thing being at 1/3rd the price. I went ahead and bought green and black as well. It is so far my fave case.
I'll add, you know the form, shape that the phone has, makes it fit well in the hand and really gives it that unique feeling that it is a much smaller phone. This case INSTEN keeps that feeling intact..

I also really like the diztronic case. Minimal and functional.
I actually have the carved case and it's really slim and seems somewhat protective. Especially since it's made of real wood!

Agreed. Fairly protective without being too bulky. Good grip too.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a case that preserves the top heaviness and dramatic tapering of thickness at the bottom of the phone? Basically I'm as concerned about drop protection as preserving the original "feel" of the phone.

Help me find a case?

I'm trying to find a good case for the Nexus 6 i just bought but there are so many choices that I'm having trouble deciding. Can anyone help?
- Nothing to bulky, device is big enough as is
- Decent drop protection
- Solid colors and simple design, no "Crystal clear" cases (Unicorn beetle seems to get high ratings but it looks absolutely horrible as an example)
Any suggestions? I like the look of the Ringke SLIM cases in white and mint (as an example of the aesthetics i like) but i keep reading about them scratching the phone itself and I'm not sure it offers much drop protection.
Thanks to anyone who can help!
I was concerned about the beetle aesthetics too, but I love it once I actually saw it on my phone. I've got the red with a white nexus. I like the frosted back because you can still see the nexus logo but it hides the tiny scratches that make the crystal clear ones look terrible after a week. the feel is also very good too, I find it easier than holding the phone naked
I really like my poetic affinity case. Very slim and the corners have some extra padding. I'm using this one over the incipio dual pro which was more bulky and not nearly as good looking.
Spigen neohybrid case (about $12 online). It is thin and had decent protection. NFC and wireless Qi charging also work flawlessly.
have the ringke slim and no scratch issues. have only taken off 3 times in past 3 months for a quick cleaning. started with Orzly flexislim but it was too slick felt like i was going to drop the phone. ringke slim has more grip (though i still would prefer more)
love my diztronic case on my nexus. good looking and very slim.
Agree with kellybrf, the beetle is definitely a very good looking case for this phone. I have a carbon fiber skin and the case shows it off pretty well along with the nexus logo and the moto dimple.

Ditto. Best low-profile, impact-protecting case out there.
Been using this brand for my N4 and N5 (and now N6), and this is the BEST low profile case out there.

thinnest cases

Does anyone have both of these and can compare?

The calicase says it is the thinnest and looks really thin but the nilkin seems interesting as well
i got the calicase and it is super thin almost feels like you are not using a case and i love it
I have the Nillkin Nature and love the case. I did purchase the Ringke Fusion Air for comparison as well, and it's thicker than the Nillkin Nature.

How is the grip compared to "regular tpu"? One of the reviews say it is really slippery.
Seems the Nilkin is thicker but also has some extra side grip... Hmm.
The Nillkin case is garbage - such thin TPU that it deforms easily. I have the Ringke SLIM and its a pretty decent choice for a slim case.
It is a little slippery but it looks fantastic
Unfortunately CaliCase doesn't seem to ship to the European Union...
Or outside of the US, for that matter...
man the calicase really looks perfect for me, unfortunately I'm in the EU also and they don't seem to ship here
i have the nillkin natura, it's perfect! the materials are great, and aesthetics of the phone is not damaged by the cover.
black color on s7 onyx black is great.
I have the calicase, and it's definitely the thinnest case I've ever owned. It also does not interfere with my coral edge to edge screen protector (which I'm not a fan of, but that's a different story). As others have stated, it's a little slippery, but not enough to really bother me.
i got the calicase and love it... not too slippery imho. soooo thin
I am another fan of the calicase. However, you should know that it makes the power and volume buttons nearly impossible to depress without trying more than once. Small drawback, but I still love it.

could you please post some pics with the Nillkin and the Ringke mounted on the phone, i'm interested in both(more in the Nillkin 'cause it's slimmer), i had it on the S6 and i loved it, but the S7 has the more curved edges and i wanted to see how it fits around the screen, i bought a very slim Rock TPU case and the edges are very sharp, and i have the feeling the the phone wants to get out of the case(it' aliiiiiiiiive )) ) thanks

I don't has have either case any longer. I'm now using the Rock thin tpu, Ringke Fusion and the Ringke Onyx.
The Nillkin didn't fit properly after I put a carbon fiber back skin and the Ringke Air was way too thick for my liking.
thanks, i have the Rock too but the edges are quite sharp, i already ordered the Nillkin ,i also have a protector on the back, a 0.2mm one, i hope the Nillkin fits well ?
