Z2 thinks it's a Z1! - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried installing a rom (the 2.2 version of this one). It went all the way to updating google apps and then is stuck in a boot loop.
So I tried installing it again and in both TWRP and Phil recovery this crashes the phone.
My computer lists the phone as a Z1 now instead of a Z2 (I'm 100% sure that it's actually a Z2). Plus I can't get sideload to work now and I can't install other roms either as both recoveries say "This package is for device: D6502, D6503, D6506, D6543, sirius; this device is honami"
Help, how do I fix this?

All sorted, followed the steps outlined in this guide and now I'm back to the stock rom.

Is there any option to relock bootloader?
How do i get stock recovery back (I'm currently on twrp)?
I'm asking these questions because of i think i bricked my z5 compact by accidently wiping the internal system too and know i cant get adb to get working by pushing a custom rom too Xperia Companion doesnt restore back and gives me error. I have tried several tools and drivers without success. Fastboot is working.
//EDIT: A solution for all of this mess is to not using the newest twrp recovery. I flashed the older one version 2.8.x.x and everything worked again.

Upgrading from TWRP v2.8.7.0

TL;DR: What is the safest recovery for an Xperia Z5 Compact?
I followed instructions from a post entitled "[TWRP][E5823] TWRP for Z5 Compact [10.11.15]" (forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/orig-development/twrp-z5-compact-t3235161) by nilezon from 28 October 2015 to successfully install TWRP v2.8.7.0 on my Z5C. (I'd include a link, but, as a new user, I'm not allowed to.) Per the instructions, I installed both recovery.img and boot.img. This worked, in that I can run TWRP; however, it made it so I can no longer boot into the stock OS, and, I get an error ("could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system assuming ext4") when I try installing lineage-14.1-20170506-UNOFFICIAL-suzuran. When I search on the error, I see the suggestion to upgrade to a later version of TWRP.
To make my phone usable, I downloaded Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde and installed the stock OS again. I'd still like to flash a custom ROM (Lineage 7+). What is the safest version of TWRP 3+? I've seen a lot of threads about people having problems with recent TWRP images. Alternately, should I try a different recovery?
Thanks.
Thread closed as per OP request.

Can't update twrp? Or find a cwm download for an Xperia z3 tablet compact Wi-fi

Ok so Let me go through the whole story. I wanted to root my Xperia z3 tablet compact SPG611 and I was being a bit of a noob so I opened the bootloader and I was so eager so I get on to rooting as I did it before on my Xperia z3 but on that I dropped it and it broke sooo... but yeah I went to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3...ment/advanced-stock-kernel-twrp-root-t2959720 and flashed this onto my tablet. But I had 2 problems I was in a boot loop but I was able to go to recovery and the twrp is at v2.7.1.0 so my clever self decided to wipe everything, I mean everything off of the tablet and I didn't back up. This meant that I had no os installed and I can't download a custom rom because there is always a problem, mainly cannot execute updater-binary when I flash paranoid. Also when I flash a newer version of twrp through fast boot it says finished okay but doesn't update on my tablet.
So I'm basically asking has anyone either got a way of updating twrp or a download for another recovery and has anyone got either a stock rom or a custom rom that they dowloaded on a Xperia z3 tablet compact SPG611 that actually worked.
Sorry for the long issue but can someone please help it would be the most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I always embed both twrp, SuperSU and Xposed Framework inside the kernel with the Rootkernel script. The only downside is that you have to use this procedure when updating Xposed and SuperSU.
After you created the patched kernel, just flash the kernel with fastboot. After that you have twrp (and SuperSU and Xposed if you included those).

My z5 compact don't start after installing TWRP

Hello,
I tried this morning to install a custom ROM for my sony xperia z5 compact. Unfortunately, it remains crashing on the "Sony" screen
I unlocked the bootloader via the official link https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/. Until then no worries, everything worked well.
Then I wanted to install a TWRP recovery via this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/twrp-3-1-0-z5-z5c-z5p-t3571050
I was able to flash it without worries but when restarting, TWRP asked me if I wanted to install the app, I put OK and from there, impossible to start my phone. "always stuck on Sony screen".
this is my config : E5823 / 32.4.A.1.54
I want just to start my phone. Is there possible to put a stock version? thanks
This is very urgent to resolve it unfortunately
Thanks for your help
you can close this subject, problem solved. Thanks
Wanna share how you fixed it?
Yes sure,
I flashed my recovery with the TWRP 3.1.1 posted before with the command "fastboot flash recovery {name_of_file.bin}" and I did a flash of the boot with the good version of boot with the commande "fastboot flash boot {name_of_file.bin}.
I founded the good boot at this address for my version : https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/32-4-1-54-coming-t3685995

[HELP - Newbie] Need Help for Rooting M4 Aqua (E2353) (Windows 10 laptop)

Hello. I am a newbie in regards with the rooting.
I have never successfully rooted any of my devices before.
Details:
*I have a Sony XPERIA M4 Aqua Model E2353 With Bootloader Unlocked.
*I am currently using a Windows 10 ASUS Laptop (I have no access to Win7 laptops)
I have successfully made (idk how I even did it, I just followed some forum here and installed Flashtool) made my phone boot in recovery mode to TWRP but after connecting it to the laptop, my laptop cant detect my phone so I transfered the zip SUPERSU in my phone and after installing it in recovery mode my phone literally went **** and stucked in bootloop for 3+ hours.
Eventually with some help. I installed ftf. stock rom of my Sony M4 E2353 and flashed it with the flashtool and successfully got my phone back--BUT IN Stock Rom only and ofc UNROOTED.
It's May 2020 now and I need the best ROM to flash in my Sony and I also desperately need help for ROOTING my E2353, Idk how to do the TWRP thing tbh, it just made a newbie like me bleed in my brain --but is there someone who could help me in rooting my phone first? (
Thank you so much.

Install magisk app from website then get your stock boot img and patch it using magisk then go to twrp and click on install then change to flash boot img (find it after clicking install) and flash the patched boot img as a boot image and you will be rooted, if you still have problem I will reply you
