check if your bootloader is locked or unlocked by opening the dialer and insert *#*#7378423#*#*, go to "Service Info" and then "Configuration". If your bootloader is unlocked, it should say "Rooting status: Bootloader unlocked: Yes".

How did you unlock?
Official way - locked.
Test point method - Don't know.
Test point method doesn't change it.
That's what I thought first too. But then I read on some topic that the test screen was supposed to say "unlocked: yes". But I guess he was talking about the official unlock?
I used test point method. So I guess I'm still unlocked then.
Need to search for another reason I can't flash a custom kernel with fastboot then... I get the message "can't load boot.img". Any ideas straight of the bat?
Thanks

If you unlocked bootloader by official method, it says:
Bootloader Unlocked: Yes
If you unlocked by test point method, it still says:
Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes
To find out if your bootloader is unlocked or not after unlocking by TestPoint method, just try to flash a custom kernel using flashtool
Thanks,
Rick

Place the boot.img file in the same folder as fastboot, that you are using.

[solved] [ADVICE] Sending back my ray to repairs

I need to send my ray for repairs, but i rooted it, so i flashed the official .587 yesterday, and PCC is duped .
Is there anything else i need to check before sending it to repairs?
Thanks in advance!

How to check if the bootloader is unlocked?
Type this *#*#7378423#*#* go to service info > Confguration.
See what is written under rooting status..
If it says:
Bootloader Unlock Allowed : No, it means bootloader is not unlocked and can't be unlocked(with any free method)
Bootloader Unlock Allowed : Yes, it means bootloader is not unlocked but it cud be unlocked.
Bootloader Unlocked : Yes, it means bootloader is unlocked.
Cheers,
AJ
Thanks! It says
" Bootloader unlock allowed : Yes"
but there is no Bootloader unlocked line, so i guess i am allowed to unlock the bootloader but i did not do it, so i can send it to sony without problems am i right?

[Q] Bought Used Z2 is there any way to check that TA partiton is intact ?

is there any way to check that the TA partition is OK?
because we bought a rooted used Z2 and the previous owner says he downgraded it and we are afraid that he could've wiped the TA in the process
how can we check that its unlocked?
If I'm not wrong, you can check the Service Menu on whether your bootloader is unlocked or not.
Go to your dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#*, then go to Service Info -> Configuration. Under "Rooting status":
- If "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes", then this means your bootloader is still locked
- If "Bootloader unlock allowed: No", then this means your bootloader cannot even be unlocked in the first place.
- If "Bootloader Unlocked: Yes", then this means that your bootloader is unlocked.
When did you buy the phone? The abilities to (1) backup TA partition before unlocking the bootloader and (2) root a Z2 with locked bootloader were only discovered a couple of days ago. If you've had the phone for some time and it's rooted, then it's most likely the previous owner had to unlock the bootloader to root the phone and he did not make a TA partition backup during the process.

Thanks man! The problem was that I didn't had the "oem unlock" option in developer settings activated!! That's the reason I couldn't unlock it! Thanks!
Now that I have my bootloader unlocked what is the safest method to root it? Do you know?
Install TWRP and flash Super SU. But I didn't tested it yet.
