I suggest you try delete youtube from settings/manage applications, then pull battery and reinstall it from market again.
Worth a shot!
Good luck!
Did you try clearing the data and cache?
How do i clear the data and the cash?
Ok I found the solution. There is an app for managing the data. that seemed to work. Thanks guys!

And data?
was this ever figured out? I have an Acer iconia a500, exact same issue
I have the same issue it just randomly started but only with videos from my account like subscriptions i can search n play random videos only.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
I have the same issue too. And if you read the reviews in the market, it seems like a lot of other people are having the same issue.
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA Premium App
This started today on my A500. I have cleared cache and data from the app. Then I did a factory restart. As soon as I click on the youtube app it brings up the thumbnails of the videos. Clicking any video brings up the "stopped unexpectedly" error. This happens if I am logged in or not.
I didn't install any apps last night, and previously I used the A500 to watch a lot of YouTube videos.
Its a known issue that Youtube would be FCing now. Hopefully it will be fixed or an update will come our way.
well Im glad I Google this... been busy the past few days, come back to watch some vids, and my a500's YouTube FCs when I click any did. I was kinda fre#king out, thought my tab was broken or something
My phone's YT works fine tho
Deleted as posted in wrong section sorry

[Solved] Market Won't Update to Play

Hi all! I have rerooted and reromed my phone this morning to Eclipse 2.1 and the Android Market hasn't updated to Play. There is a feature in Google Play that I like a lot and kinda need. Has anyone had the same issue? Is there a way to force update?
Thanks all.
Happy Tax Day

Go into settings/applications/manage applications and select the market app. Clear the data and try opening the market again.

I did it and it popped up with the disclaimer "By using Google Play you accept blah blah blah" but it still is the Android Market...

Yeah, I think when it first change to the play store, I had to do some waiting before it actually updated too.

[Android 4.1+, Root] Snapchat capture with Dropbox sync, both pictures and videos

[This is a duplicate of a post in another subforum here at XDA]
Hi, I developed an app that runs as a service and captures and upload your received snaps to your Dropbox account in the background!
This is by far the EASIEST way to grab your snaps. It grabs all snaps without marking them as opened and grabs snaps regardless of their length.
You don't even have to open Snapchat since this runs entirely in the background. When you receive a new snap, this service grabs it, copies it to a temporary folder, uploads it to Dropbox and then deletes it from your phone again.
Works flawlessly on both pictures and videos.
Sometimes Snapchat won't download videos before you open the Snapchat app, but when you do and it's ready to view, it takes some seconds and the video is available in your Dropbox.
This app follow Dropbox conventions and is in a Production state (not development).
You can check it out in the Google Play Store by searching for:
snap sync root
I am new to posting here, so I cannot post a link directly, bu check my signature for link!
I want feedback on this if you have, but please do not give me crap about it beeing unethical or something like that. I have already heard it all
I made this app solely because I could, even with my minimal Android development experience.
where did your other post go? did you get to see my suggestion?
what happened, and why was this pulled from the Play Store???
SCRATCH that- it doesn't appear on Android 4.3?

It appears the app is not targeting SDK version 18. This renders the app incompatible with Android 4.3 devices, thus it's not showed when you browse Google Play from a devices with THAT Android version.

But, it does work. I've used it on about 6 4.3 ROMS now, it just has to be restored from titanium backup
Doesn't work with the new snapchat update.
No longer working
It doesn't work any more I'm afraid to report. I also tried sideloading Snapchat v3.0 but it didnt make a difference. The pictures don't show up how they used to in the recieved_image_snaps folder either. When you remove the .nomedia extension they still don't display.
Any ideas?
It works with sideloaded 3.1.15. I think i rebooted afterwards, and it works again.

Yep it now works with 3.0, the classic off and on again technique! Also need to remember to turn off auto update in the play store.
Has this app been abandoned?

Yes, if you check the app on the play store they stated they stopped maintaining it.

Battery optimisation problem

First of all, this is my first thread on XDA.
I bought a brand new Huawei Honor 8x last month and im well satisfied. My problem is that i cant see particular apps on the "Turn off battery optimisation" list. The app is called Youtube Vanced. When i login to google on Vanced. It automatically logs out after 10-15 mins. And force closes by that situation(optimisation thing) in my opinion.
What should i do.?
Thanks..

The only thing I can think of is, uninstall both vanced and microG, install them again, and allow them both into the background.

IIRC then Youtube Vanced gets overwritten by the stock YouTube every time the Google Play Store auto updates.

yea, that is not an issue, I have youtube vanced as well, and I simply do not update it.
It seems every time I reboot my phone, the app is just gone, I have to reinstall it. On vanced manager it says "Install" not reinstall, it is completely gone.

Not sure that is the issue.
1. I tried using a VPN, still did not download.
2. When using it without VPN, I used a trial premium account, and it worked. Maybe it is a premium only feature?

Hi, it's a premium only feature indeed, and I think the dev once said that he wouldn't implement this function in his vanced app (might be wrong there, you should probably look it up to make sure)

Yea downloads are usually a server side feature, so not really modable in the apk itself. It used to be the same thing with Spotify Dogfood
