I bought this Samsung SGH-I667 from a friend but its really behaving weird. It has demo loops whenever i charge it and it keeps resetting itself after every 24 hours. I did manage to update its version from 7.5 to 7.8 but still it wont stop. Is there a permanent solution for this Demo thing it really sucks,
Please Help!

Yesterday my battery died half way through playing a game (not entirely unexpected, I'd been playing on my phone quite a bit that day and it still lasted 22-23 hours), I connected the charger that came with the phone and left it to charge while I got on with some uni work.
The phone vibrated to tell me the charge was complete so I disconnected the charger and turned the phone on as usual. After the samsung galaxy S2 splash screen, the screen lock appears and when I move it there are several error messages saying that various applications have had to stop (the main one seems to be TwLauncher but when I force close it, many others also force close). This continues for several seconds until the phone decides to restart itself and repeats the process ad infinitum until I can shut down the phone (I can manage this by not trying to get rid of the screen lock and just holding the power button until the menu appears).
I've had this phone a week (one of those days being today where it did not work at all) so it's still well within the return period but I was wondering if there is an obvious fix that I'm missing.
If not, I'll be ringing Samsung on Monday (I have coursework due for friday so I'll be devoting my samsung office hours time to that) and if they can't give me an easy fix I'll be ringing the place I bought it from and asking for an exchange.
So, has anyone else had similar issues and managed a simple fix?
Bump, I take it everyone else's phone is working then?
Giving this another bump in the hopes there's someone with a simple solution.
I don't want to have send my phone off and wait for the place to get stock.
there have been 2 firmware releases from samsung in the last couple of days, i assume you are running the latest firmware?
I can't even get the phone to stay on long enough for Kies to recognise it. It keeps restarting. Even when it was working I couldn't get Kies to work with it properly (I couldn't copy the contacts from the phone to the computer).
It's running the firmware it came with, but I can't check which version it is.
I was going to try flashing the new firmware via ODIN but I've been busy with coursework. Is this likely to solve the issue or will I just be giving the retailers ammo to reject my return?
go into recovery and do a factory reset

this is what I was looking for.
after googling, this sorted it out.
I just assumed download mode was the only other non-normal mode.
Thanks
Basic FAQs on the SGS1 forum mostly apply to SGS2 .Worth a look there before Google .

Hello
Yes yes i know i'm a noob, and i'm hated.. and i hate myself :/ lol but right now I need help! I've searched EVERYWHERE and was unable to find the solution soo...
I got my Samsung Galasy S II GT-I900G about a month ago, I've been turning it off every night so that It can charge. Like a week ago for some reason I didnt and in the middle of the next day the RAM got to about 560MB/0.91GB and then after a while it got stuck while i was sending an SMS. I had to take the battery out and and turn it on for it to start working again. I'm not that much of a hardcore gamer or phone user. I dont know why my phone would do this. I have deleted all my apps and still the same problem so its definetly not a leaky app. It gets stuck and then i have to take the battery out !
My phone has 2.3.4 android version
If you need any other information, let me know and i'll post it... But PLEASE help me.
I'm desperate here
I hope you've told the mods to remove your duplicate post ?

Which ROM and Kernel are you using?
Android is like Linux, so low ram=wasted resources. High ram is natural. Likely it is your rom or kernel that is to blame. You could also do a factory reset to see if it fixes it. Also, if you hold the power button for 10 seconds, it is the same as a battery pull, so you don't need to take the back (or case if you have one) off.

Hi everyone, I really hope somebody can help me with this.
My Mum made a Contract with the Provider o2-DE and they send her an Samsung Galaxy S7. That was in August 2016, the Contract ends in August 2018.
The only Issue she has with it is like I mentioned that the Device has serious Startup Problems, if she powers off the Device, it really becomes a Game of Luck to get it to Power on again.
First Question: Could this be related to the Device having too much Running-Time? (Like about 300+ Hours being on without a single reboot?)
Second Question: Could it be a Hardware Failure or like that o2 did send us a bricked Device which had this Problem from the Beginning?
The Device came with Android 6.0.1, We upgraded it to Android 7.0, we keep checking for Updates but we are kinda afraid of installing them since it needs about 4-5 Hard Reboots till it even starts installing the Update (Also afraid of bricking it because of the Boot Issues ) (And the Updates doesn't seem to bring any improvements related to this...)
And after installing Updates the Boot Issues are coming up again, the last Update even took me about 40-50 Reboots till the Device booted up normally again
Does anyone have an Idea what we could do next?
We eventually wanted to send it in for a Repair, but my Mum urgently needs to be available for Calls (like School of my Sis etc.) but o2 denied sending us an Replacement Device she can use till the S7 would be repaired (which according to the Repair Site might take about 5 Days)
I really hope someone here has any Advice
Have a nice day!
I see that phone has some crack on screen , and also I think that restart can be battery problem or problem on mainboard , it s better to send to Repair !

The Crack on the Screen is gladly only in the Tempered Glass though The Device always gets really hot during the restart loop and Battery drains like hell, so I suppose it's maybe even both the Battery and the Mainboard... Anyways, thank you for your Answer, I'll try to send it in

Hi guys, how are you? I'm having a problem with my S9+. I'm from Brazil and have the SM-G9650 model. My phone was working fine, but since last days, it randomly started freezing and rebooting. There isn't any specific task that I do when this happen, might open Spotify or Netflix and the phone freezes or be just scrolling through the home screen and this happen. Even with the phone locked on my desk, sometimes it reboot itself.
Already hard reset the phone, worked for maybe half a hour before started crashing again.
Any tips for what can I do? I was thinking to download the firmware on sammobile, but is it worth? The download is painfully slow.
I had the same problem and I'm on Tmobile in the US . My messages was freezing non stop. I had to do a hard reset and now all is fine . When my upgrade is available I will be switching to OnePlus because I'm getting tired of NO root on Samsung . OnePlus 6T has root !!
