app or tool for replacing drop down notifications? - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a way to replace or revert Lollipop's dropdown notifications with the kitkat tickertape notifications? So far, the only way seems to be with Xpose framework, but it looks like there are still a lot of bugs with that method. Just looking for any alternatives. My phone is already rooted and s'offed. Appreciate the input!

[Q] Restore the 1.6 notification bar/sliding app drawer?

Right, so back when the X10 was on Android 1.6 it had quite a nice thin notification bar, and the sliding app drawer was rather nice too, but ever since 2.1 they've both been replaced, and the notification bar is bigger and closer to stock Android size. My question is...is there some way, either involving internal tinkering, flashing a new ROM or whatever, to bring back the old, thin notification bar without having to downgrade to 1.6 again? Can the same be done with the old app drawer?
(Also, first post here, so hi. I know my way around a forum usually, and I did some extensive searching before asking but to little effect.)
It is not possible mate. I really liked it too.

Click to collapse
I was afraid of that; though on the face of it it would seem that it should be possible, at least in theory. I suppose one way would be contacting Sony Ericsson about it as an optional inclusion in a 2.1-based update or adding into 2.3, but that seems pretty unlikely.
EDIT: Or if it's possible to dualboot 1.6 with 2.1 somehow, it would be worth trying.
sorry for reviving an old thread, Im on the arc now but i have an x10....i really want the sliding drawer back. Can anyone on 1.6 post the home apk, see if its installable with some tweaks? thanks!

[Q] Notification bar problems on JB 4.2 launcher

Hi,
I´m using Hairybean 2.2 RC1 and JB 4.2 launcher. It seems really good but with couple questions concerning the new notification bar.
The upper bar, where notifications and quicksettings are, hides with some apps. Eg. MX-player and games. I cant open them without going to previous apps selection or home.
Is this a more of an apps developers problem or just an feature in the new launcher? Or could it be a problem in ROM?
I haven´t tried any other ROMs cause, I have a replacement digitizer which inverts the X-axis. With Hairybean I can use that invertaxis.zip kernell.
And big thanks to flumpster for that!
I´ve tried to search the forums for any comments on this matter but could not find any.
I do like the new notification bars, so I would prefer to keep them. Don´t wanna go back to the old 4.1 launcher. Although the movement of the back/home/recent apps- buttons to the center wasn´t so good improvement.
Thanks for any comments. My first post. :victory:

[Q] Lock screen notifications from Liquid Smooth ROM

Hi there,
I would like to know if it is possible to enable lock screen notifications like in this ROM in other ROMS?
Is it part of the UI or an app buried somewhere in the system? Im a noob trying to understand things a little better. And this a really nice feature IMO.
Cheers

[Q] Tweakers: Was lollipop worth it?

I'm reading through the features of lollipop and it's drawbacks and I'm asking myself the question: is it worth it? From a tweaker point of view? I love the lockscreen notifications, but the rest seems like small touches. Stuff we already can do with xposed or custom roms. We are however locked out from xposed and all that it brings and from what I hear Tasker nor Secure settings are working great on lollipop yet.
So, tweakers out there that took the lollipop-route, was it worth it you think?

Can't customize notification sounds

Hi guys, I wonder if there is a way to customize notification sounds for each app. App like gmail, use default sounds and there's no way to change it. Did you find any solution? Do you suggest to change rom in order to make it possible? Which rom in particular?
Thanks
Same problem on my poco f1.. no solution yet..
