Iocean X7 Elite Bricked ('BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL(4032))

I have just received my Iocean X7 Elite and was about to install a new rom. I had successfully rooted the device and then was trying to flash
the recovery with SP Flash Tool.
After the recovery flashed my phone refuses to turn on I believe its somehow bricked but have no idea how this could have happened. I did
format flash i only downloaded the recovery to the device.
In Device Manager when i plug the phone it it either shows up as 'DA USB VCOM Port' or 'MTK USB Port'.
When I try to use SP Tool to flash the stock Rom back onto the device I get an error saying 'BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL(4032)'
I have no idea what to do next can someone help me.
I have tried what this thread suggests:
bump
same as u..but differ phone model.(N9589)
had a few upgrd...til the recent brick it.
Tried a few version of flash tool and still the same

Same problem here - tried to install stock firmware and got this error...
these are common problems when flashing MT65xx based phones,
ie : error 4008, 4xxx, 5xxx whatever those codes mean, no explanation after extensive search on google.
once I managed to flash this one phone successfully, but I don't know exactly what I did.
as long as I recall, I tried to delete the whole flashtool folders, re-extract them, let the phone cool down a bit
and oh, try to press volume up, or down button (varies on devices) while connecting to USB, once the flashing progress bar starts, release the button.
In the flashtool option, at the OPTIONS-->DA DOWNLOAD ALL-->, check WITHOUT BATTERY.
and in the option, DA DOWNLOAD ALL--> SPEED, check DO NOT SWITCH SPEED.
try flashing your phone without battery inserted, it works many times for me.
NOTE : BEWARE, flashing your MTK65xx based phone, sometimes this tool tried to REMOVE YOUR PHONE's IMEI information, so take caution !
I haven't managed how to prevent IMEI removal when flashing those phones, because I'm not a developer.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply, but this doesn't help... ;(
Anyone?
I think I figured out that the error above means you are trying to flash an incorrect ROM. Make sure you are using the right one and also make sure you're using the latest version of sp flash tool.
Once I downloaded a later version of the flash tool it began installing the ROM but then a different error appeared.
So I formatted the nand with the sp flash tool.
Then I flashed the stock ROM again and it worked
Formatting it seemed to make the errors go away even though its advised not to do so.

I fixed this error by completely removing and reinstalling other drivers for mtk vcom loader

I tried reinstalling drivers, also tried other drivers, but this doesn't help...
I've had the same problem with the following installation Sp Tools
SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1316.0.150
Rom: MP_mt89_v9_iocean_ousheng_jb2_20130520-184014_zhongyeqing_PC
http://d-h.st/ESX
Iocean X7 Youth
I don't have the same problem but i flashed the latest version of official rom for iOcean x7 Youth : 03 july 2013 : and wtf no more internal sdcard only the rom stockage. So i can't download anything, i can't use camera .
On the official website, I read that before flashing the 20 may 2013 rom one and the 03 July 2013 one, your baseband version have to be 23/04 or higher( you have to flash the 23/04 official rom first). This is only avalaible for the YOUTH version.
So tomorrow i will try what i said below to see if i have internal sd card again.
noob question::: since the iocean x7 young and turbo are the same phones...only different clock rates...will flashing the firmware for turbo on iocean x7 young work??assuming that the mtk6589T and mtk6589 are the same chipset only different clock rates??

Clearly: Wrong driver. I had also this error. SPflash tool did not readback. I did not flash anything! I fixed this by showing the nonpresent devices in devicemanagement (google for show nonpresent devices for explanation)
Go to com ports, and delete all mediatek drivers except preloader driver. Now start over. It can help if you choose the same usb port where you had success last time.
SP flash tool shows in the statusbar which driver it is using.

[Q] Lenovo S960 Dead / Hard Bricked

Hello,
I have an Lenovo S960, which is an MTK 6589 Device.
Coming to the Point, Yesterday I my little sis didn't know what did, Phone Got Soft Brick.
Ohk, I tried to Re-Flash the ROM with SP Flash Tool Ver 3.1xx But somehow it got stuck on 18% and got error of brom error s_da_sdmmc_write_failed (3149).
When i tried to Format+All Download with the latest version of SP Flash Tool, it keep saying "Unrecognized Rom Detected".
Now, I tried Flashing the same ROM with different Versions of SP Flash Tool, and Got several Errors. amongst which one error really horrified me, i didn't remember exactly what was that, but it was something like No Valid partition Management Table.
After some research i found that the rom can be Flashed via MTK DROID TOOLS Onlyy, but for which i need Back Up of the Rom, which i didn't have.
The point is:
1) Is there any way to Flash the Rom with SP Flashtool bypassing these errors.
2) I would be very thank ful if any one can provide me the Back Up Rom for Lenovo Vibe X S960.
One more thing, This is my Fiance's Phone, and she's about to kill me if i didn't Give her phone on Sunday..
Please Help me..

pls help, infinix hotnote 16+1 hard bricked.

please kindly help me, I hard bricked my infinix hot note 16+1 while trying to flash recovery using sp flash tool.
its been dead for about a week now, i charged it, removed the battery clip and replaced it, tried flashing preloader.bin, but remains dead.
i get dram 4032 error while trying to flash a custom rom i downloaded online. tried formatting it too, but i still get the same error. now im left with no phone. kindly help.
NB, i have uninstall and re install vcom drivers, re extract sp flash tool version 5/version 3 all to no avail.

Flashed wrong ROM version to my phone. Cannot format and reflash anymore with SP tool

My Zopo Speed 8 (ZP955, MTK 6797) phone went berserk (lost its network occasionally etc.) so I decided to reflash the phone.
I downloaded the ROM version which I believed to be the stock and original ROM:
https://bsp.needrom.com/2016/12/R2-ZOPO-SPEED-8-ZP955.zip
I formatted the phone without formatting the bootloader (with SP flashing tool) and flashed the ROM.
Everything went OK and I booted the phone.
However, the ROM I flashed was kinda "pre-series" ROM and there's no way to update it nor format & reflash it since SP flash tools doesn't recognize the phone anymore.
I've tried 3 different computer but it's always the same: when I open SP flash tool, try to format / reflash the phone by connecting it to the computer, the phone starts to charge itself and SP flash tool doesn't recognize it at all.
Now I'd need some serious help how to format and reflash the phone again :crying:
Or have I bricked my phone for good???
If anyone would know how to fix this issue, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance! :good:

Hard Bricked OUKITEL K10000 MAX, help!

Tried rooting my phone, the oukitel k10000 max, with sp flash tool and it hard bricked straight away, download and recovery don't work but windows recognizes it's there when I plug in with usb so theres hope, I just can't seem to find a solution that actually works in any way, also I didn't back up nvram or dram so now when I try to flash it gives me the (4032) error code for dram, seemingly can't flash anything at all. Help would be greatly appreciated, might even wire some paypal dough if someone can help me get it working again? Also my drivers are installed properly as far as i can tell, i installed them in the disable driver signature verification start-up mode.

Don't worry, I've had this exact issue for a while and fixed it. Do you have anything I could contact you on? I'm not really often on xda so if you had discord for example it'd be much easier.

Anyone wanna help me with my K10000 Max? Tried installing the stock rom with Magisk installed, with the Smart Phone Flash tool and it completely bricked my phone. Black screen and wont even respond to the power button. When connecting it with a PC, Windows complains about not recognizing the USB device. Do i have a 200€ brick now that i can toss in the garbage? Please help before the wife finds out and kicks my head in!
EDIT: Disconnected the battery and the phone gave little signs of life again and was actually recognized by the flasher software. Tried to flash a stock image again and it gave me this:
S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL
[Description]
l [EMI] Enable DRAM Failed.
[Solution]
l Please check your images to make sure it matches with your phone and download again.
EDIT 2: Figured it out myself! In a deep despair, i tried like a 1000 different roms but nothing worked. Even the backup rom that i made before i first flashed my phone didn't work, giving me a different error, something about the chipset. Today, i wondered why the scatterfile said my rom was for the 6735 chipset, as the K10000 MAX is a 6753 device. Changed the line in the scatter file manually and tried to flash it afterwards and i nearly **** my pants when it actually started flashing the phone. Flash was successful and now the phone is working again. Now i just need to find a working custom rom for it.
