One of the most useful features of this watch I found is to set a timer by saying 'ok google..set timer for ...minutes'
However, this no longer works for me and when I try to do it, it just takes me into the timer app itself, which is annoying as it's a lot less convenient and also it's not possible to set certain intervals ie 20 minutes.
Any idea what's going on?

Thanks for your input. I suppose it's some relief that the issue is with Google rather than us. Just hope that this is resolved quickly unless it's intentional.
And it's working again...

Hello all,
I've tried searching for this but found no result.
I have owned in the past a samsung i9300 and have now upgraded to the i9305.
They were both running stock samsung roms, tipically the TPH 4.1.2 for UK. Only mod so far is root.
I have had some trouble with location based apps such as foursquare. The app works fine and is able to find my location using wi-fi/3G data. Although, after a few hours/couple days I get an error saying "your connection is wonky" and then shows me the venues of the past location. Whatever I do the location only comes back after a device reboot.
I have found this happen only when I have the "economic" mode on. But turning it off after the error appears still doesn't solve, it must off since the reboot. This happened on both devices and the most awkward thing is that Google Maps shows my exact location when foursquare is unable to do that. I know it is not a problem related to the 4SQ servers, as I have found this to happen on other samsung devices.
Anyone knows what this is about?
Thank you

Yes it does.
This problem also happens in Facebook, whereas it is unable to find my location.
But as stated above, whenever this happens G Maps works just fine.

Anyone having trouble with apps closing on their own. I know there is a known problem with maps...but is it that of just all apps. I use my phone for mapping exercise and more then once it's shut down, so I don't know how far or fast I've been. I usually listen to music at the same time...it should be able to cope with that. Anyone got and ideas or is a wait for fix with an update?
Same issue
I got the same problem. Not only it closes apps on its own, but also opens windows in apps, or even likes photos I am only watching on its own.. I'm still searching for an answer..

Can't get the mate 20 pro to recognize ok Google anymore. I think at the initial setup it worked but ever since I turned on huaweis ok Emy thing to see how that works (and turned it back off after realizing how little it does work at the moment), all the relevant Google settings were turned off and can't be turned back on again.
Anyone know of a solution short of a complete system reset? (That would be a disaster).
Judging from a little searching, it appears I'm not the first with this problem, but so far I haven't found a solution...

What do you mean ok Emy thing?
You need to be specific in order for people to understand exactly what you are talking about so they can give you proper advice.
Sent from my EVR-L29 using Tapatalk
I doubt this is a Chinese version - it's the version you get when you get it delivered by t mobile in Germany, so that's probably some official international package.
OK Emy was a reference to huaweis own assistant (think Samsung and Bixby, which considering the lack of functionality is even more of an analogy than one would think).
Basically what I think happened was that the phone was set to listen for ok Google. Me toying around with "Emy" probably turned that off (likely to avoid wasting battery by having two processes listen for different wake words), but turning off "Emy" did not only not reactivate Google assistant, it also left it greyed out, as in "nope, can't turn this on".
I do know for a fact that I initially had used Google assistant. So this is either a bug or I am missing something that I need to turn off too so that Google assistant isn't greyed out anymore.
Hi everyone.
Recently, I saw my phone's battery decrease considerably, and by going to the battery usage stats, I found out the following:
* Google Play Services used about 25% ;
* Android System used about 15 % ;
* Mi Service Framework used about 7 %.
These are really huge numbers, and happen every single time. These numbers keep roughly the same wether the battery level is 90% or 10%. Even after resetting fully my phone (official Global ROM with Pie, bootloader unlocked but stock recovery and no Magisk / etc.). While I got near to 10 hours of SoT before, I now barely get 6 hours, without playing any game - just browsing internet, reading books and listening to music with my headphones.
I uninstalled many applications, but nothing worked. Although I didn't test it more deeply, this behaviour doesn't seem to happen in custom ROMs.
Does anyone have an idea to solve this?
Thanks in advance for your help !
So, I tried to disable synchronization as well as using power save mode, but that doesn't change anything. Any idea?
Strange, did you try to clear data in play services? And maybe clear cache in android system?
Yes I did, I also performed a factory reset from recovery > wipe but it didn't solve the problem...

Install BBS(BetterBatteryStats) and take an idle dump (read the OP in BBS's XDA thread on how to do it) and post it in the BBS thread. Someone will respond.
I have the same problem. Clean installed miui 10 stable few days ago, formated everything, and still the same...

I'll try to install this app this evening and try if it gives some interesting stats.
Otherwise, I already read AndroidPit's article (as well as many others) and nothing worked for me.

Sorry to hear that. I don't have these issues, but you can try the EU ROM, I haven't tried myself, but I read from a lot of users that it's better than global. Or try the beta ROMs
@ClementNerma you managed to fix hight battery drain by Play Services and Android System? I barely get 5 hours of screen on time, and can't figure out what is wrong. BBS doesn't show anything specific in wakelocks...

Unfortunately, I couldn't
The only way I found to manage it is to fully disable any Internet connection (no 3G, no Wi-Fi), and then Google Play Services totally stops draining battery. But this is somewhat inconvenient...

Have you tried refusing all its permissions? Be aware this might break some apps until you re-enable them.
So I noticed that a great number of vince users are facing this problem. The screen become unresponsive for a few seconds. Some of the users said that this is a software problem while others blamed the hardware. What should I do now? I tried so many roms and kernels combinations but got no hope. Roll back to MIUI and the problem's still there. The only thing I didn't do is downgrading. Some xda threat suggested copy the boot.img from a working version of MIUI and paste it to a custom rom of your choice but I'm not sure which version of MIUI is issue-free and are there any risk of bricking my device when I mess with these files?
I spent so many month trying to find a fix but still no hope. Is that mean my phone has hardware problems and I should get it fixed at a center rather than continue this hopeless searching?
If anyone has any idea, even the most simple one, please tell me. Save me and my vince.
Download kernel auditor, then disable ' schedule workques on awake cpus ti save power '

Nvm, I switched to other kernels and got that working. Let me try that for a day. Thanks!
May I ask which kernel ?
I am facing the same issue that it itself switches off.
Not a big issue though but its bit bothering.

dude it's a hardware problem, i have been having this problem long before i unlocked my phone and moved to custom roms. My advice, save up and buy a new phone :/
Same here! It's so annoying, but I don't remember it happening with MIUI. I'm using Havoc OS Android Q, and it stated with this I guess.

I'm pretty sure Havoc 3.2 it's using Dark Ages Decimo as kernel. But even using Dark ages control app (it's own kernel auditor version) you can't change that option, because Dark Ages Decimo has an in-built feature to activate again the "schedule workques on awake cpus to save power" option. I will try with another kernel, I've tried installing MIUI 10 and the unresponsive issue was there... I will check again.
Edit1: I'm trying now with Stormbreaker Kernel it has the "schedule workques on awake cpus to save power" option disabled by default.
Edit2: After one day trying it, it still have some random unresponsive second, but at least not ten as Dark Ages Décimo and that feature enabled by default.
I am having this problem too. The touch stops responding, but if you repair the volume, power and rotation buttons, they are still functioning normally. At global miui and miui.eu this never happened. I'm also at havocOS and before I was at Bootleggers ROM, but at Bootleggers that didn't happen either.
I also have this touch not responding issue.it is coming frequntly .it is a big problem while playing games like pubg.
