If something brakes, it's on you!
So, I have been trying to get OTG working on the D620 (other models to come).
There is a very high chance that this will not work.
Some things you will need:
1. An externally powered OTG cable
This is what the externally powered OTG cable looks like (well, one version of it , there are many)

}
2. A backup of your current system
3. Some knowledge of how OTG works and how to test it
4. Some basic knowledge of Android, like how to grab the logcat at boot and dmesg
Installation:
1. Download the attached zip file and extract it
2. Flash the image-new.img as kernel
3. Move the contents of the extracted 'system' directory to /system and set the permissions/ownership to match the other files in the directory, while overwriting any existing files.
4. Add this line in the end of /system/build.prop
Code:
ro.usb.host=1
5. Reboot
6. Test it and report back with logcat and dmesg
Is the kernel compatible with every rom or do i have to use stock rom?
I'd like to help but i won't mess with my phone until weekend.
Thanks for your work.

It's a modified version of -V- kernel, so stock only.
Sent from my D620r [Stock 4.4.2 , -V- Kernel]
Can anyone test this?
Unfortunately, I can't (and don't want to) buy the OTG cable myself.
If anyone is wondering, this is safe. (Still a good idea to take a backup of your current system)
However, it is not certain if it works.

Hey,
I will test it on weekend. I have to rollback to stock from CM12 tho. I have the adapter cable so it shouldn't be a problem to test it.
if you can make it compatible with d618/d610 i can try

Well, assemble this script for those who want to install a firmware easily and safely, without having to edit anything at all they will be able to change the firmware without problems. This method is widely used in other devices such as the Motorola Razr HD and others.
This installs the firmware cleanly, save your files on your pc previously.
Requirements:
* Drivers Motorola - Link
* Script FlashFirmware - Link
* Firmware - Link
Method:
Download everything you need
install drivers
Unzip the firmware
Unzip the contents of the [email protected] evogp folder inside the folder of the firmware previously decompressed (staying in the same folder the firmware and script files)
Start the device in fastboot (power off, hold power and volume +)
Connect to usb
Run FlashFirmware.bat
Just used this to flash stock 4.4 to my ATT Moto X. Worked without any issues or fiddling. Thanks!!!
This works with all Moto X versions/carriers?
I see the 4.2 for each carrier is more then likely the first firmware shipped on? Is it because of bricking while getting camera update? Really interested on the rate of who had flashed back to 4.2 successfully.

How is this any different than the script that Motorola provides? Seems to be a duplication of their work.
Hi guys!
I'm trying to build a kernel for Moto E. Although I don't own the device, I really like it and would like to support it in any way I can. For that, you'll have to support me. I need the stock boot.img and/or ramdisk from all variants of the device.
Please provide it as soon as possible so I can get started with the kernel.
Cheers

See this thread for 4.4.4 stock kernel restore zip on the 1st post.
Here's the direct link to the zip file.
You can use boot.img from that file. It's the stock boot.img that I extracted from stock 4.4.4. :good:
Firstly, you take all responsibility for using this work.
Love flashing ROMs and find it a hassle finding a computer and the time to reinstall genuine LG G3 firmware?
This ROM is for you!
This ROM lets you install the latest v20i european firmware without a computer but by using TWRP. And it is already rooted!
Steps:
1. Download the file
https://mega.nz/#!QYlh3Q7J!1cKq244pEOwD7GmyWbQzYkXBEt2_kKemzqEEGvHUkVI
2. Unzip it using your favourite file explorer. I use Root Explorer!
3. Place the contents in the following location (create folder if necessary!):
/storage/emulated/0/TWRP
4. Reboot into TWRP recovery
5. Factory reset
6. Click 'restore' and select the nandroid backup.
7. Boot into the latest v20i firmware with root!

For what I know the 20I is the newer for EUR. Looks like the changelog is bigger

Yes, in UK, where I am, 20i is the latest ota version. Using this method saves loads of time so feel free to use, or not
Can someone point me out a changelog for LG OTA updates? Can't seem to find any.

can you replace this baseband (radio) with international baseband (20p) ?
to see what's the different if use regional baseband and international baseband.
I think the v20p thread had a list of ota changelog. You can flash another modem baseband if you have the zip file.

Sorted!
L9 has very limited internal storage (only 2.3 GB usable ), and due to emulated sdcard all the apps store data on internal storage which gets lost after factory reseting . I lost lot of data due to it , so i decided to get rid of the internal emulated (read fake) SD card.
After asking developers on this forum about it i got reply from @artit
You can review code in disabled sdcard rom. Just extract it (also extract boot.img). Then look into
1. init.[HWBOARD].rc
2. /system/etc/vold.fstab (JB 4.3 don't use this, it use /[HWBOARD].fstab instead)
3. /system/framework-res.apk (extract this file and look in /res/xml/storage_list.xml)
You can compare with original CM rom to see what is changed
Click to collapse
You can create your own patches for your rom
To edit " init.u2.rc " , U2 = Board name of Optimus L9
You have to unpack boot.img, to edit the init.u2.rc , Also edit " u2.fstab " (for android 4.3 and above ) then repack the boot.img.
For Jellybean (4.1-4.3 ) you have to edit " System/etc/vold.fstab"
To edit storage_list.xml
For this you have decompile framework-res.apk, and dig into it "res/xml/storage_list.xml" edit the file recompile the file to flash to the device.
I have attached to patches which i have created for using on my L9.
First Patch is for stock rom for P765 , firmware version : 20c
it should work on other version also but i cannot guarantee , You can also prepare your patch using the above knowledge.
Second patch is for MoKee OS android 4.4.4, MK44.4-p760-150131-HISTORY.zip which can be downloaded from get it here
After applying the patch storage would look like this

Always make backup before trying anything new.
Hope you enjoy optimus L9 a little longer as this phone is getting old. New powerful phones coming everyday.
TWRP is working and I can't upload new roms to this phone. Second partition too have the same problem. I try upload stock rom with flashtool and it the end of error. I can turn on flashmode and fastboot mode. I solve this problem? Sorry for my bad english
This phone is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, hence use QFIL Flash Tool - what is created and distributed by Qualcomm Mobility LLC - to re-flash phone's stock ROM.
My rom is in .ftf file, but this program need files .mbn. I don't find this file for my phone. Can you link me this file for my phone?
