even tho there are plenty of themes and tutorials for.. well pretty much everything, the one thing I've been searching for lately doesn't seem to be anywhere, not even on google.
So I was wondering, does anyone know where the code for animations is "hidden" in our device (or any Samsung device).
I've seen that some devs (@Albe95 here for example - Congrats btw, amazing job ) actually managed to port the whole Rom to his device with its animations and all so what I'm asking for should be possible.
I've downloaded both ours and S6's stock SystemUI apks, decompiled and tried to play with ours, made lots and lots of changes while comparing .xmls (used WinMerge) but.. failed badly.
My point is.. any skilled one that would like to jump in? :fingers-crossed:

SystemUI.apk\res\drawable\ here it has lots of "recents" stuff but i guess it mostly has to do with colors etc.
PS2. I know it's not something important but hey, as much of a difference some colors make to us while playing with our tool, the same goes for some eye candy animations!

the g00h has port s6 rom in note 3 with extreme debloat.someone dev must port s6 rom in note 4.my friend has the rom of g00h and its amazing smooth very fast and he have amazing batery.here in note 4 nothing.no mod no themes no bootanimation no rom nothing what is wrong ?

There are plenty of Roms and mods mate, most of the bootanimations can be used for our model as well. If you're talking about the S6 stuff specifically then no, not yet at least. Keep in mind that every mod that has been made for note 3 for example can be easily ported to Note 4.
It's pretty much what @ruinamallorquina said, we don't have as many devs as the rest of the devices have, I believe we'll get there though at some point.
Anyway, that's not what the topic is about.
GlamourRom is going to be the first S6 port for our Note 4. The dev just needs supporr to create his webpage (I really don't know why he doesn't want to post it here since he don't need to pay any host and will be much more known in XDA). He has the rom ready to flash. Search for GlamourRom in google and open the Facebook Page, I would provide a link but I'm at the phone right now.

Well that's good news but still it's for the Exynos model (C) according to his posts, not for the Snapdragon one (F) and sadly doesn't help me much on where to look for the code I'm looking for.. :<
@_Sofos_ You said we can port note 3 mods easly to note 4 so why anyone don't try to port goohs rom? I'm waiting for this port too since s6 themes theme everything...

I can understand your frustration mate but it's one thing to "port" some mods, which actually in most cases means decompiling an .apk, making specific changes (those changes are the same between all Samsung devices) and recompiling it back.. and another to port the whole framework from an Exynos device to our snapdragon..
it would be nice as their doesn't seem to be a lot of s6 style roms for note 4 N910f .. fingers crossed for a s6 port

Hi, I used this awesome rom on my old s2 and it was just amazing. I forgot I was using Samsung based rom because how well done it was, this guy jazzk in the s2 section created a Samsung based rom but swapped (not themed) out system ui and apps to aosp ones, results where close to perfect aosp rom with Samsung benefits (camera hwcomposer etc) the rom I'm talking about is this :

Now I was about to create a donation thread for jazzk to buy s3 and develop instead was thinking... How hard is this? Devs? Is someone willing/got interest in this? I find this highly interesting and I'm sure there is a couple out there wanting the same! If absolutely no one is interested in this, maybe I can start learning slow and easy how but this will be a long road to walk and i want this baby running as fast as possible..
I'm sure jazzk is willing to help some if I just can find a skilled enough Dev to help me achieve this.. Someone?

Thank you for your tips and response. The difference is that in jazzk rom, the actual apks from aosp is there.. The dialer, sms, everything is the real deal! Even the status bar is real aosp and not just themed.. My question is how hard would this be to do for the s3?
Edit: even answer call and lock screen etc is pure aosp not themed

If you want(not wants) that notification bar,the best solution is to buy a Touchwiz UX 2 enabled Samsung device(as the S4).
I saw a similar mod for Galaxy S with Cyanogenmod 10.1.If you are using this Custom ROM,it may work,but not sure.

WHY? THIS. IS. XDA! We have ANDROID, thus every thing found here can be ported to other devices.He says that it should be posted in an iPhone thread because you don't need to buy a different phone to enjoy a newer Android version and/or its features.

Don't be so harsh!I said that it's the best solution.No that it is the only solution.I saw it on Galaxy S with CM 10.1 if you read my post.If you are so defensive,do you know how to make it on stock JB?
I was nice enough in my post.If you don't admit that the best solution is to buy a device with that feature,then it's your fault.

I'm not being "harsh", I'm being realistic. People buy phones they want and phones they CAN afford. They didn't settle for less because they were forced to. I appreciate the gesture of replying but if you really are a serious enthusiast about android then you wouldn't say that. Although I can't agree that the best solution is to buy a newer-gen device just for a feature that can easily be replicated. I can do the same on PAC-ROM with NO code changes and just a few PNGs to make the "look" as for making it work for STOCK 4.1.2, Here's what I got: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315342
You're Welcome. The title says it's for GB but someone made it work for ICS(4.0+) which has a similar code base to JB(4.1) I'm not sure but that's what the OP has posted. The OP also said that he may be supporting JB 4.1 "soon" I can only speculate because I haven't tried it firsthand because I have no free time.

You are right,I'm not an Android enthusiast,that's why I'm the one who's realistic.Even with those code and .png changes,these don't look like on a device that supports natively that feature(not so polished).That's why,by comparaison, the best solution is to get a device that supports natively that feature(only if you have money).And he made that guide for JB 4.1.2 too.
I wasn't replying like an iPhone owner,but to get a feature to look perfectly like S4's,for example,is hard,because that feture is originaly made by a team of developers that are paid to make it work and look very good.

Tryed the latest one from S4 that has same resolution get FC
Only one i managed to work was the one from s3 and was really small ...
If Anybody has a clue about this leave feedback

a lot ported Touchwiz launchers that I am aware of are based on old S3, but skined to look like S4, Note3, or even S5. There's no real port that I am aware of, that's because it soo embeded into system frameworks, libs,..etc, probably many developers having hard time to port it.
but couple of developers got together and able to port HTC Sense 6 Apps, Blinkfeed, launcher, all good stuff (see link below)..I was monitoring this thread when they start work on it, so if couple of developers come together, everything possible as it seems. it seems it is just not many developers intersted on Touchwiz launcher. I know prvious Touchwiz launcher was really bad, but I believe Samsung come along good and made a lot of improvement on newest Touchwiz launcher that's on new devices.

I saw how far i9300 went. We but we stuck here... Yes of course, AOSP developement continues. But I think TW6 looks more elegant than any other TWs and AOSP. I saw many s5 themed roms but they are far away from s5 (only statusbar but even it is not completely)
So again.. I am asking, can we make whole s5 ui? AOSP or SAMMY it doesn't matter.

It's possible, but it will require a lot of work. You could ask one of the recognized themers for our device but the chances are they don't have time to do this work now.

The llolipop roms made our phone really way much better than stock.But when compared to other touchwiz s7 or s6 style roms our phone's roms are incomplete and
THEY DON'T HAVE THEME STORE WORKING !
I have some days trying to edit framework and i have done a lot of work.
I wanna tell u that a new framework with theme support will come.It might come after 1 week or two,it isnt sure,but it will come.
If all goes good and i get some likes for support maybe i will upload a beta version these days.
