wait for sony's update, bro.
It might be useful if you posted some battery stats from a battery monitoring app, such as gsam or batter battery stats. Then we would be more able to help with troubleshooting.

its not you.. got a HTC M8 its on Lolly and wifi, BT blah blah lasts for days.
My new Z2 with just Wifi on goes from 100 to 70 over night. Now with some batter saver maybe 4% drain.
So its a bug for sure.. Should not drain this fast.
I disabled all google services
try a search on this
"mobile radio active, kills battery"
My battery drops 6% overnight. My Z1 was at 99% in the morning(sometimes even 100%). I was going to buy a new battery, but now I see I'm not the only one. I have never used kitkat on the phone to compare.
I am agreeing on battery draining. From D6502.
Please be aware that abnormal battery drain can occur when using apps not supplied with the phone. You need to check their CPU drain as with other phones and remove them to increase batterylife

Replace your battery.
Problem solved.Just fully charged my battery and it's ok now
You can even add some build.prop & init.d tweaks in your phone to improve battery backup as you are rooted. And you can also try any custom roms which have better ui & also better battery backup & even good performance compared to stock roms...
Battery has been dropping much faster after the 4.4.4 ota update?? plz comment if you are/not experiencing this change??
In my case
Stock 4.4.4 => Battery Backup is good..
CM11 => Battery Drained out very soon..
so back to Stock ROM
Battery Draining too much fast after 4.4.4 Update
Battery Draining too much fast after 4.4.4 Update
Please suggest services should we stop like is it due to some google services?
Before update battery life was quite normal.
1] I have wifi on only when plugged in,
2] google sync is off,
3] auto update is off,
4] location services off
Are there any google services that needs to be stopped like which already spoiled nexus devices?
Same issue here!

Yes, even I am experiencing the same issue. Battery used to last full day with heavy usage. Now down to 20% by 5 pm! I am considering downgrading to 4.4.2 with the help of this article here: www[dot]android[dot]gs/downgrade-motorola-moto-e-to-stock-android-os/
The only problem is that model in India is XT1022 and they have tested it only for XT1021 and XT1023. Can anybody please tell me if it works for XT1022 as well? Not happy with the upgrade at all, phone has started lagging as well
Yes, battery is draining here too after the 4.4.4 OTA update. Battery lasted way longer when I had 4.4.2
Me too facing the same problem.. Is there any way to solve that problem..
Try a full wipe
Actually my battery backup is grt with 4.4.4... I used to get less 16 hours but after d ota I'm getting more than a day .... I have removed Google apps and disabled few moto apps as well .
Physical Battery Calibration
These are the battery calibration step's please follow these step's it will improve the battery performance and back up.
This option is also very simple, but at the same time, a little more time consuming.*
1.Turn your phone on and charge it for 8 hours or more.
2.Unplug the charger.
3.Turn your phone off and charge it for one hour.
4.Unplug the charger.
5.Turn on the phone and wait 2 minutes.
6.Turn your phone off and charge it for one hour.
7.Unplug, turn it on and use as normal. Your battery life should now be a lot better.
A full discharge/charge will reset the microprocessor of the battery and will improve the state-of-charge estimation. We recommend that you perform this procedure once. Connect your device to a charger and allow device to charge to 100%. This should fix the issue.
Got this as a mail from moto care after enquiring about quick battery drainage.
I recently bought a Xperia Z2. I had heard a lot of praises about its battery life that it stays up for around 2 days with normal usage. But my Z2 seems to be draining battery very fast. It lasts only for around 15-20 hours with normal usage. It also loses battery on standby. Its on Lollipop 5.0.2 build number 23.1.A.1.28. I have also come across many posts saying that lollipop has reduced its battery life a lot. Is this true? and is there any fix for this? or should i go and replace the phone? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have noticed a fast battery Drain on my Z2 since it updated to lollipop as well. I just sent my phone to the Sony repair centre and I'm sure to get it back this Tuesday. I'll let you know if they fixed battery issue

Same here. Lollipop drains battery. The only option to repair it is to downgrade to kitkat.

hello.I replaced my battery and I have the same problem (somehow) as before!to clarify..I dont know why I cant get the superb of 11 SOT when I bought it and running kitkat..now I am on lollipop and get max of 7:30 SOT max.
So my issue is that when battery goes down from 16% iy drains battery % muuuch faster!it happens again now even after replacing the battery, but not so quick compared to before..what can be the cause?thanks.
STAMINA Mode?
Do you enable stamina mode when the battery gets low (e.g. 15%)? I find that the battery drains faster when stamina mode is on (sounds funny-I know, since it should improve battery). Even for my Xperia XA, I seem to lose more battery with stamina and even more with ultra stamina. :silly: This is when the device is idle.
yes dude I have always stamina on.I miss the good days with kitkat that I had 11 hours SOT.Maybe I'll revent back to kitkat to test.but I don't think I will get these numbers again..don't know maybe is hardware issue cause tablet is 2+ years old...

Possibly a hardware issue but I doubt it. I've used an Xperia device running KK and can say that that was the last version (I think) that had the good old stamina mode which totally suppressed mobile data/wifi resulting in very good battery life, ever since lollipop they decided to use the built in android battery saver and based stamina mode around that which is next to useless, it doesn't actually suppress the network connection, only reduce brightness, sync and performance.
I find that only keeping the wifi on during use/charging to help a lot, settings->wifi-> it is somewhere there where you can change this.
You could always revert to KK if you find a ftf.
I've only had the tab for a week or two and am happy with the battery life vs performance, much better than the nexus 7 2013.
me too.I love it and have no complain about it.but this battery issue drives me crazy.I found my old flashable zip, maybe I try again kk thanks!

Where did you bought the battery? Maybe it's fake or not new. I'm on Android MM now and battery life is superb compared to lollipop. It's comparable to KK
My Xperia z3 compact tablet battery drains fast
Hi Everyone,
I got the xperia z3 compact tablet earlier this year and it was good for a few months before the battery started giving me issues. It practically drains out while still about 60% charged and when you plug it for charging it begins from 0% before a twinkle of an eye it's at 100%. I noticed lately the tablet goes off even when the battery is saying 80% charged. I've reached out to sony and the suggestion was that i format the tablet which i did but to no avail. Pls is there anything i can do?

Unfortunately it sounds like a hardware problem since a reset didn't fix it. You can try going into the service menu and see battery health there, maybe even do a test on it. To go into the service menu open the phone app and dial *#*#service#*#*
You spell service by using the corresponding number buttons.
Edit: realised it might not have a phone app, in that case download an app from the play store that helps you open the service menu. I don't own this tablet anymore so can't fully remember haha.

You sure? It should be under "Service tests" -> "Battery Health test" (you may have to scroll towards the bottom). For example on my Xperia Z5 it says "Good, no need to replace it." Other than that I don't know what else to say, because if a reset doesn't work it has to be a hardware issue. It may be useful to try an app which reads battery diagnostics.
Since the .219 update I've noticed the battery life is draining very fast. I barely get 2 hours of On-Screen-Time and when the phone is on standby it will use 20% overnight, meaning that I have to charge 2x a day. When I first got the phone I would charge it once a day and it would hold atleast 1,5 day on full charge.
I've tried: 1) System repair, 2) factory reset, 3) battery stamina mode help only a little, 4) contacted Xperia support that didn't really help.
Anyone experienced something similar?

Since updating, I'm getting a lot of ANRs for file intensive apps and they seem to drain the battery faster.
Cellular performance seemed improved on my carrier (US T-Mobile) but it's a hot mess roaming on Vodafone UK.
Yes have been noticing mine draining much faster than it used to. Not as bad as having to charge 2x a day but I now barely make it through the day compared to getting 1.5 days previously.
I have similar feeling. My battery works worse than before. And I do not mean the fact that of course as every battery it is getting worse over time, but it's life dropped suddenly after update
same here... :-(
