I am pretty overwhelmed by knowing that our low budget device has got many aftermarket ROMs. Thanks to all the developers making these awesome ROMs possible for MotoE.
I myself have tested many ROMs but I am confused now about which ROM gives best performance, which ROM gives best features, which ROM gives perfect mix of features/performance. I myself would consider the ROM which gives best performance.
Please reply to this thread answering which ROM you are using and for what purpose to solve(features, performance or both).
Using mokee ROM here and will chance to pac ROM soon.
I am using paranoid android and its pure stock, surviving on it with exposed and gravity box, overall a very butter ROM and good battery life.
I will install AICP when next update comes or mokee can get a chance too.
CM 12.1 i made my mind to cheange the ROM many times, but all the time i back to CM12.1, bcoz of its daily bugfix/features update, stabality, no unwanted features, make me stick on the ROM.

Hi
well I have no experience with Custom-ROMs, so can someonePlease explain to me
where exactlythe difference between Official ROMs and Unofficial ROMs is ?
What would you recommend in terms of stability
thanks
This is what I believe it means, using CyanogenMod as an example (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CyanogenMod).
AFAIK the CyanogenMod team develop their custom rom for a generic platform. They then select a number of devices and customize the generic version so it can be applied and used on these selected devices.
An official CyanogenMod ROM is when the CyanogenMod team have selected the device and done the extra work for the custom ROM to work on that device themselves.
Unofficial means that the extra work to tailor the custom CyanogenMod ROM for the device is done by other developers, who use the generic base which CyanogenMod provide.
To my understanding its more like sub-beta, directed mainly for flash freaks (count me in).
Regarding stability some official ROMs are far from stable, while some unofficial are ages in front.
Thanks guys for the great explanation....appreciate it...
well , During my search for a good ROM software I have often read that the 2 Roms was s always recommended
1. Temasek
2. LiquidSmooth
i mean are both roms really good and stable on s3?
or would you recommend something else
thanks
I would recommend CM12.1 as a daily driver. Is clean and fast. It works way better than stock Samsung ROMs and is very stable thanks to @JustArchi. It also drain less battery and has a good power save feature.

My current setup is this:
Recovery: TWRP
ROM: CM12.1
Kernel: Boeffla
And never been happier with my i9300
Hi
I have the latest version temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM12.1 v18.0 flashed + PA-GOOGLE APPS Plus GOOGLE STOCK PACKAGE
and I must say it really makes a great impression, everything seems stable so far.....
well the only thing that bothers me is the (ugly white background in Android Lollipop)but its just a matter of taste :silly:
Plus the newer builds of CM12.1 have OTA updater working.
How would you estimate the stability and performance of CM12.1 ROM's compared to official CM11 nightlies?
Flashed official CM11 once. Within 30 minutes of testing a had plenty of crashes and several Cannot connect to camera.
Lot of people here say that there is no need to move to Lolipop, because Kitkat is far more stable.. However I wouldn't agree.
Hi,
i search a KitKat Rom which is stable, good battery ife, and can play games with not cost a lot of battery
Which Rom and Kernel do u prefer?
There are a lot of kitkat like, neat, slimkat, slimsaber and and and
Hello and thank you for using Q&A,
I wouldn't suggest you using KitKat, because the security patches aren't included. Using a Marshmallow ROM, your phone wouldn't be vulnerable.
But if you really want to move back to KitKat, I suggest SlimSaber.
Kind regards & good luck
Trafalgar Square
because the security patches aren't included
what is that? is that very important?
MM: Is there working xposed? and which rom&kernel u prefer on MM with good battery life
Security Patch is important. There are many ROMs, which are vulnerable to attacks from outside.
I prefer pure CyanogenMod 13.
Hi I'm looking for a marshmallow performance/Lighest from.
Any suggestions?
There is not so many of them at all so you schould just check comments in their threads and compare I am using Dirty Unicorns and it`s great
i would suggest trying the stock 5.1.1 rom. very fast and smooth. after testing 6.0.1 custom roms i did the downgrade and had no regrets about
I concur with @rootingguide on Dirty Unicorns. Very smooth ROM.

DU is good. For the last week I have been running VALIDUS ROM with no complaints. Slims is also a good rom.
Using the XT1526
Well, I've tried flashing almost all lp amd mm roms and i must say that slim 6 was the best of them all coz its based on caf-aosp and is light weight ROM as it hardly has any features, unlike those heavily moded roms available. So go for slim6!
I want to know which rom is best for daily usage in terms of battery and general performance..more concern on the battery though...if use along radon kernel which one is better??
Cm13
vote for aicp mm, slim rom or nx rom
i know this out of your option, but this roms are best rom for me in mm while N still not stable enough
Resurrection Radon. Have tried many roms, allways end back at the above. All round beast of a rom
I think the battery isn't the major thing to concern as we know that RR is based on CM so in term of battery life both of them seem don't have a big difference, and regarding to ur query which one is the best for daily driver? I would say RR cos you know CM13 abit outdated than RR also RR has much customization inside, and it may give the ROM a step further than CM. Moreover it will never good to ask a ppl without really trying the ROM urself. Just try it and fell it. Hahha

I recommend you stay at CM13.
Even RR 5.7.4 with lastest unofficial build and it's newer than CM13 but there is a bug - Cannot find any button to turn the back light off in RR configuration.
CM13 + Radon kernel. Best choice ever.
I use Nexus Experience ROM + Radon Kernel. Best combo ever! Read my review here: http://www.usacircular.net/best-rom-for-redmi-note-3-pro/
Hey all RN3 users <3
Now I'm leaving MIUI stock rom , they did not resolve any bug I report so I decided to go back to Custom Roms .. But every rom here I read replies all complain about issues " Core Issues " indeed .. So should I stick with official as you see it less buggy ! or there is a rom can do the job with no issues !
Thanks in advance mates.
Mostly all nougat roms do a better job than miui . If a custom rom have issues, these will be fixed very quickly, not like the ones in miui, which takes months to devs to fix..
You can use Official Lineage OS, Nitrogen OS, AOSP Extended, AOSIP, there are more good roms to try, it depends only by your preferences and what you expect from that rom. If you want a lot of customizations and stability, you can go with AOSIP, i have it now and it`s very stable and smooth, but that does not mean that others are not as good..
So is it stable with no major issues ? or FC !
Almost all roms are stable with no major issues.
@Kollachi is AOSIP has the option to install fonts :$
I can recommend you to use ResurectionRemix based on android 7.1. This is 4th May 23:30 in my time zone, and I am using nighty build from 2nd May 2017, and have no issues. (except that facebook lite and messanger lite apps not getting notifications until I wake my phone. It can be because i played with battery saving settings. I tried the 3rd May build but fingerprint didn't work, and not tested 4th May build. In shis rom you have a lots of settings and customisations out of the box, and you have Magisk root out of the box, and full substratum support (you need just install it from Google Play). The battery life is as good as on MIUI, so for me it is the best but you should test and decide.
@kuba3351 Thats what I'm talking about , RR builds has many many bugs
LOS14.1 is basic, stable, not a lot of customizations.
AOSPEX, is really stable but sometimes get something like you have to flash the camera binaries for no reason at all, a lot of customizations too. (just came from that)
NOS, is really custom, but i only use it for like 3 hours (i like stock roms)
They're all good though.
Also if you use magisk and don't wanna any problems try to pick one with no inbuild root. (I got some issues with that)
Use RR its also stable and has customizations .i never got any bug ..
Thanks for reply bro , but RR Topic full of bugs !
I flashed AOSIP .. LIKE IT for now 5h xD
AOSPExt has solved camera problem long time ago best rom if you are not bothered about lte network signal
aosip have full oms support, so i think you can install fonts with it.. And among all nougat roms, i found aosip have most stable signal (is based on pure caf) and have a lot of customizations. I haven`t encountered any issue until now
Yes, there are bugs in RR, because it has only testing nighty builds appearing everyday. I don't know why it is not building stable version once a week or once a month, but it is possible to test and find a good build that don't have serious bugs, and you will get a very good rom. You can also use Lineage OS or AOSP because people telling you that these ROMS are stable. It is your decision. I will stay at 2nd May build of RR until June then try to test upcoming builds.
Another intresting thing is Salfosh OS, but it can't run android apps. Unfortunately developer's device was stolen, and development became very slow, because without a device, dev must often ask people for logcat, testing etc. So the rom is not stable enough for daily use, so didn't tested in, but if it will be, and run android apps, it can be the best rom.
@cristiandiaconu6 Yea I like it now its my Rom ^^ crashed one time while pressed system option many time at once
aha I heard about this rom , RR was my best rom for my old Galaxy S2 .. but with RN3 i faced many bugs for the first flash so I left it for good untill they release the stable one , AOSIP lokks good for me now
@milav I will give it a try soon (;
I used LineageOS 14 until with one nightly I was stuck at trebuchet loop, where nobody could help me to get rid of it. Then I tried NitrogenOS and after a few weeks I can say that ROM is really stable and can be used as a daily driver. The only problem I had was that AdAway was not gaining root from built-in root, so I unrooted it and installed SuperSU.
Tried NOS too , good performance but I got bug or two I do not remember so I left it down !
try xaiomi.eu roms global or developper ,all miui roms and miui depended custom roms are better than other custom roms especially AOSP roms
