[Q] [Solved] [5.0.2/LTE] Cannot boot into recovery mode - Nexus 9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I've flashed TWRP for Nexus 9 2.8.6:
Code:
#adb devices
List of devices attached
HT4C3WV01363 device
#adb reboot bootloader
#fastboot devices
HT4C3WV01363 fastboot
#fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.6.0-flounder.img
target reported max download size of 518205818 bytes
sending 'recovery' (13208 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.744s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Device State : Unlocked
OKAY [ 0.867s]
finished. total time: 1.612s
There's no way to continue into recovery without rebooting:
Code:
#fastboot reboot
rebooting...
finished. total time: 0.099s
#adb reboot recovery
... leads to a fallen Android! (see attached screenshot)
Any suggestion?

Fastboot flash TWRP recovery again.
After doing above, don't touch your PC again. Pick up your device and use volume button to navigate to hboot, then navigate to recovery and use power button to select.
Done.

Yes, thanks!

TWRP for Zenfone 3 Zoom

Now that we have our own forum I figure I might as well put this here (taken from guide here).
1. Unlock the boot loader with the instructions / app from Asus
2. Download TWRP. Specifically twrp-3.1.0-0-Z01H-20170408.img ** [edit: also rename to twrp.img once downloaded]
4. Reboot to fastboot by rebooting the phone, and pressing the down arrow during the unlock screen.
5. Flash the recovery image `fastboot flash recovery twrp.img`
6. I had to power cycle the phone completely to get TWRP running.

It's not working, I have no idea why.

RNE-L01 Mate 10 Lite - No Reaction after 'fastboot reboot' command

Hey guys,
when I try to flash my Huawei Mate 10 Lite, i can successfully apply the fastboot flash command, but the reboot command does not do anything anymore. After using the flash command, the device can still be found by fastboot. After this fail, i can reboot by pressing the power button for a few seconds. But when i boot to recovery again, it does not show twrp but the standard recovery.
Code:
Twrp-Mate 10 Lite Nougat-KingOfMezi user1$ fastboot reboot-bootloader

Twrp-Mate 10 Lite Nougat-KingOfMezi user1$ fastboot reboot
NOTHING HAPPENS NOW
I'm doing this on macOS with all adb tools and fastboot installed (obviously, since all other commands work). FRP And Phone are unlocked.
How can I get the reboot command to work so the twrp flash does not go away after i restart by pressing and holding the power button?

TWRP - Wiped Internal Storage now I can't boot into recovery

I've just unlocked the phone, via minimal ADB
tried fastboot getvar current-slot and got the output that my slot was a
then I've tried flashing TWRP at a utilizing
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
then got the following output:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
target reported max download size of 803868672 bytes
sending 'recovery' (39780 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.663s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: (recovery_a) No such partition)
finished. total time: 1.695s
so, I've tried fastboot flash boot twrp.img
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot flash boot recovery.img
target reported max download size of 803868672 bytes
sending 'boot_a' (35452 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.063s]
writing 'boot_a'...
OKAY [ 0.183s]
finished. total time: 1.254s
then I've manually pressed the power button + volume up and successfully entered TWRP
there, I've gone to advanced wipe and wiped
Dalvik / ART Cache, system, Data and Internal Storage
I didn't know Internal Storage would give me problems... After that, I couldn't access my internal storage from the PC to copy the .zip of the custom rom.
Tried going to mount into TWRP to mount different partitions, no succes.
Then I thought that maybe if I restarted the phone it would be ok. So I've restarted and TWRP told me "no system installed, do you wish to continue?" I said yes.
Now, I'm stuck at fastboot and can't boot into twrp anymore...
I've tried repeating the same commands above and got the same outputs.
fastboot flash boot twrp.img got me the "OKAY" messages. But now, even if I hold the power + vol up button, I won't get to recovery.
I've tried
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot boot twrp.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 1.291s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 1.298s
because my frient told me to do so, but this command does not exist.
How can I proceed?
Try using mi flash tool
I was also stuck in fastboot mode I then tried installing twrp again with no success.
So I then went and flashed stock rom again into my phone using mi flash tool.
(Having a new account, I can't post link to these files. So download the files from official mi website, it is available there)
Steps to flash
1- Place the Flash File on Desktop.
2- open flash tool application.
3- Assign the Folder path.
4-Go to slot a using adb
5- Click on refresh & then tap Flash button

Needed: Fastboot command to reboot into recovery!

Hi,
My LG5 850 is rooted and wiped, after testing another custom ROM. However, this time I can't reboot into recovery using the Vol-dwn/Power key-combination. Always ending-up in fastboot
Is there a command to take it from there?
Thanks a lot!
Bash:
fastboot reboot recovery
Should generally do the trick.
Unfortunately not:
LG5# fastboot reboot recovery
fastboot: usage: unknown reboot target recovery
Also tried:
LG5# fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.0-0-h850.img

sending 'recovery' (21124 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.681s]

Anti Rollback

Hi everyone, couldn't find anything relevant on the internet and the forum about the rollback problem, there is any way to install custons ROMs with that anabled? since i bought my moto g8 power mid last year i never could install any custom rom because of that, fastboot always give me anti-rollbakc warning and won't flash some partitons so it always ended up bootlooping and i go back to stock, there is any way to disable that feature? or bypass, how can i solve this problem?

You definitely are in fastboot d? Not just the bootloader?
When you are flashing the inages, if you have a green robot and some text down the bottom, that is fastboot/bootloader.
Fastboot d is different, you will definitely know if you are in fastboot d.

That was on bootloader, i searched about the fastboot d but couldn't find any explanation/tutorial how to enter it, i tried the command fastboot reboot fastboot but it gives unknown fastboot target, can you help me?
Fastboot reboot fastboot is the correct way from the bootloader.
You need to update your platform tools.
Also you need to be on android 10 for these roms to boot.
One of the guys helped me out with this earlier. After you've unlocked your boot loader and if your on android 11.
Use rescue & smart assistant to backup your stock rom, it will tell you what kind it is too....
Then go download the android 10 stock version.
Then use moto tools by vache and load the android 10 stock rom into it. Just follow the directions and place it in bootloader.
after that flash whatever puppy of your choosing. Also I'd advise against flashing twrp just boot it. Also if you do use twrp, make sure you don't reboot from side B! you will brick your device....

Thansk for the tips, it is really important to set the partitions, i was struggling a lot to boot system since twrp redirected things to side B while A was set, i don't know why but now everthing is running flawlessly
