[Q] Gear S - Gear Manager - Rooted Sprint GS5 - Not working! - Samsung Gear S

I'm honestly tired of searching; I guess I'm the only person with a Rooted Sprint Galaxy S5 and a Galaxy Gear S. The GS5 (running on BlissPop) is not supporting the Galaxy Apps/Gear Manager. I've tried several ways to unroot/back to stock ROM and still getting a FAIL from Odin. I want the ability to interact with my Gear S even by going back to stock ROM. I can't be the only one in the world with this problem...! At least I refuse to believe so...

Thats an issue with your BlissPop rom. Have you tried posting in the BlissPop rom forum? The best way to get back to stock is to grab OFFICIAL firmware. Its also possible that your device is formatted for custom roms and would need to be reformated to stock...official firmware should automatically do this if it is different.

[Q] Downgrade from ICS build of samsung note to the stock version

Hi,
I'm a newbie w/ android and I made the mistake to upgrade to the ICS version of Samsung note i717. Unfortunately, my experience with it has been quite poor due to the severe lags and hangups.
However, I have been unable to go back to the stock AT&T or Samsung version that the phone came with. I didnt save a backup of the original version. Is there any way to fix this?
I tried installing a ROM that some one made of the AT&T version earlier, but the phone would not boot after that (It would get stuck in the SAMSUNG screen at boot) and I had to re-install ICS to unbrick the phone.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
Thanks
Search or at least look in the development section where there is the Odin to stock AT&T GB

Reverting N7000 to original samsung firmware?

Over the past yeah I have flashed about 40/50 Roms onto my trusty original galaxy note. But now I have sold it, and there for i need it to be a actual samsung phone again. Now this part i have not tried yet, so I was hoping to hear from someone with experience in this area. Do I just go stop sammobile.com, get a ICS Rom and use Odin to flash it on there?

[Q] root S3 with S4 stockrom

Hi,
Is it possible to root S3 with S4 stock rom.

Well you can't really put a s4 rom on a s3 dye to the fact that they are two different devices and trying to do this will most likely end up with you owning a bricked phone. Therefore you wouldn't be able to root as this isn't possible unless you had a ported rom.

Rooting vs. ROMs
It also may help to look at it like this: as I understand it, rooting your phone grants you access to low level software functions, such as reading and writing system directories and files. This is useful if you want to overwrite certain files which may alter the functionality of your phone or to perform complete backups and restores. Your phone would need to be rooted in order to install another ROM, as you need to overwrite boot files and other system files.
A ROM, on the other hand, contains the complete system, and other apps the developer has chosen to include. ROMs usually are installed pre-rooted, so that you retain that control.
A stock S4 ROM wouldn't work on an S3, though, because they are completely different hardware, and the kernel, etc. is built with the drivers for the S4. I wouldn't run on your S3 at all.
Smart money says, though, that if they haven't already, developers soon begin pulling out the choicest bits of the new software and making it available for the older phones.
Have a look at the forum for your phone, and keep an eye on the developer sections, and you'll see things popping up.
Thanks a lot guys for the help. How to get the features of S4 on S3 like air gesture, etc. Also which is the best 4.2.2 rom apart from the leaked rom for S3.

Air gestures might be possible to be used on a S3 but there is a low chance as if it is hardware specific it wouldn't work and would be hard to make it work on a S3. Also try CM10.1 it is not fully stable yet but it is an alternative to the stock 4.2 rom.

[Q] Updating Galaxy Ace III (GT-7275R) to 4.3 Help

Hi,
I have just purchased a Wahoo Fitness Bluetooth 4 device to use with my Galaxy Ace 3. I believe that the Ace has bluetooth 4 capability (all of the specs that i see for it show that it does have BT 4.0), but im starting to think that i need to update from the current version of 4.2.2 to 4.3 in order to get it to work.
I don't want custom ROM or anything like that to be honest, but it appears that my network (EE uk) are not rolling out updates for this phone to get it on to 4.3 or higher.
Is there any way i can get a 4.3 vanilla rom onto this phone?
Thanks
Mark

You seem quite confused on what constitutes a custom rom. If you're trying to replace the stock Samsung software with vanilla android - that's about as custom as you can get without replacing android with a different operating system. But there are no official updates to 4.3 for your phone, so the only way to upgrade would be via a custom rom like CyanogenMod.

Flashing a Custom ROM on the Samsung Galaxy S5 G900T? I have no clue on how...

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900T and I wanted to flash a Custom ROM onto it. The problem is, I do not have an SD Card (yet) and I wanted to flash it anyway. I know there are ways to flash it with things like ADBLoader but that is not my problem right now. I am just afraid I'll end up messing my phone up by installing something wrong. I have rooted it and installed TWRP Recovery using Odin, but I'm not sure what to do from here.
I want to do it so I can install Nougat, that's all, possibly with Cyanogen but I do not know how to do that either. Sorry if I sound stupid when saying this, I'm confident at most device modifications EXCEPT mobile phones, they just don't ring a bell in my brain :silly: Thanks in advance! Also new to these forums so I don't know if this is the right place.
