My vibrant has a hard time holding a charge. This is what I did and it is still hard to hold a charge:
-Disabled 3G, wifi, gps, bluetooth
-Backlight lowest setting
- Autosync is turned off
- screen timeout is 15 seconds
-Display all animations (would this make a difference?)
-disabled haptic feedback
-removed some bloatware
Im running froyo 2.2.uvka6 and it is rooted.
I dont have the clockworkrecovery mod so i cant do the wipe battery method. Would there be any alternative to recalibrate the battery?
Also, I was wondering what "power save mode" is in the display settings. Is it the same as automatic brightness since it auto adjusts the brightness? Does it really save power or not?
Thanks in advance!
Recondition.
what do you mean?
Drain your batt to zero (till it wont turn on) then while the phone is off charge it too 100% (best results if phone stays OFF while charging! It keeps the voltage sent to the phone low... I.e. slow charge) once its 100% unplug it once and plug it back in. . Leave it plug in for about a hours after it hits 100... And then boot phone while its still plugged in....
This is what I do everytime my bat. Seems to drain fast....
You may have to do this two or three times in a ROW!!
ALSO*
If its a rom u flashed make sure everytime you hit 100% you delete the battery stats!
A simple google search of "reconditioning battery" will give you these steps and other methods!

Hi All,
im trying to optimise the battery comsumtion on my galaxy s2.
From the battery panel i can see my phone is regularly woken up from power saving standby.
Is there any way to identify what apps are responsible for waking up the phone?
thanks in advance,
Lunex
Try better battery stats
thanks that seems to be exactly what i was searching for!

If you face problem with battery.. draining like hell..
then these tips are for you....
1. Battery Calibration
2. Control Apps
3. Device Setting
1. Battery Calibration
Don't use any application..
Just charge your battery till 100%.. Restart your phone
without remove charger..Important
after restart (battery show 60 to 98%. leave it on charge again till 100% + 2 hrs. more
Then remove from charger & use phone until battery drain to 0% and switch-off itself
Don't recharge between 100 to 0%.. then try to restart at least 3 time.. to sure drain battery completely
now connect your phone to charger.. after 10 minutes start your phone.
but don't remove your charger till battery goes 100%...Important
(sometime it take more than 4-5 hrs. so better in night) When battery goes 100% ...now you done Calibration..
Technically..
on every restart Android reset Battery (by wipe battery status)
So.. on 100% Android make Maximum level - on 0% minimum level
P.S. Do this calibration on every ROM flash or at-least one time a month..
2. Control Apps
Some Application consume battery do much..
i.e. Facebook, Youtube, Maps, Whatsapp, Viber, Yahoo! Mail / Messenger, Skype, Hotmail.com, etc.
so when you don't use these apps (running in background) kill them .
Better use Browser Bookmark instead applications
i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Outlook,
It help to save your RAM also..
3. Device Setting
lowest brightness..
lowest screen timeout
Close WiFi if no need
Close Data Conn. if no need.
Close Bluetooth if no need.
Close GPS if no need.
try to use dark backgrounds..
Try these tips then tell me how your battery work

Just one comment on your procudure.
The text as you wrote:

Io-li batteries cannot be fully discharged. POwering up mobile at 0% (withou charger pluged in) just to exaust battery can lead to a permanent battery damage or shortage in its life.
The rest of the procudure may help (or not),
hello everyone,
I used to have great battery life on M4 aqua dual 16GB version E2333 with stamina mode on
it only dropped 1% per hour in idle mode, now it will fall a whole 4-5% in idle mode
the device is only 2 weeks old
the most recent changes I did were installing :
colornote
evernote
google keep
swiftkey beta
and I think I may have logged in facebook app but not sure if this was prior to battery fast drain or not
I checked power management in settings and it is not pointing any fingers toward any battery hogger application
I just need help on how to troubleshoot this and I swear that i will immediately make a full system backup
if it goes back to tiptop shape
I'm using stock android Build 26.1.B.2.147 not rooted

it doesnt seem to be consistent sometimes the battery will be minimal sometimes not i think it depends on what running in the background however the batery life is acceptable
I sleep 8-9 hours and my battery goes -4%. You should enable more STAMINA features and disable exceptions. You should delete Facebook app since you don't use it. If it doesn't help, considering your phone is not brand new, change your device's battery and don't let it go under 20%.
Hi Guys,
battery life is super important for me because i am all day outside. I had an asus zenfone 3 zoom before (5000mah battery, total beast with 7-10 hours SOT). The asus had a battery saving mode that would "turn off data after screen goes off".
This mode was perfect for me, because the phone was working normal when i use it, and when it lock it, it drains almost zero battery, no background activity (its like being in airplane mode). I wonder if there is any way to do the same with the Mate 10? Any workarounds or suggestions?
With the mate 10 i notice that there is a lot of battery drain when the screen is off. If i go to sleep i will lose 15% the next morning.
I dont like the normal battery saving mode of the mate 10 because it makes the phone slower when im using it, and whatsapp messages/emails dont come through unless i open the app manually, which is annoying. So its not a solution i can use all day.
Any other tips are welcome.
My Mate 8 had this under in the power management tab in the phone manager app. My Mate 10 arrived today, I'll inbox it later and check. 15% drain is excessive, most are reporting 0 to 1% drain.
Ok let me know
Sorry for the late reply, got too carried away testing my new phone
Go to the Phone Manager App, click on the battery symbol in the left bottom corner, then click on the settings icon. The settings icon is in the top right hand corner. There you will see the options to disable mobile data and wifi during sleep.
Install "Brevent" from playstore and set it up using ADB (if you r not rooted)
Will help to boost your batt throughout the day
