Hello, resiliently I bought refurbished LG G2 that claimed to be a D802 version. I disassemble my phone and find out that inside is D800 motherboard.
After the Lollipop update phones touchscreen is unusable and it do not read SIM cards.
So I found solution
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58536078&postcount=75
So can I flash D802 lollipop and then D800 KK kernel?
What tools should I use to do it? KDZ or CWM recovery or something else?

It'll probably be sim free just try it. If your phone is now simfree then it'll also be simfree if you flash that stock firmware, I suggest to take one unbranded. Some people sell the d800 as d802 to make more profit as the international model is more wanted. The d800 also has another digitizer/touchscreen then the d802 so that's why your touch didn't worked anymore obviously. But I wish you the best with your G2 and if your phone is really locked then you have to let it unlocked and or find out/contact about your simlock as I have no personal experience with that.

the problem is being worked on as we speak, mostly due to not having kdz files for that version of the L9. I use the same version too, most of the time, which is why i'm not doing much beyond rooting it and freezing the bloatware.

Use the KDZ for the Canadian P769:
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=18
If it works, you will loose wifi calling and any of the T-Mobile bloatware. I may be able to send you my kernel, wifi calling APKs, and T-Mobile bloatware.
Good luck.
Canadian p769 is your only option I've put in a request with the head of 4ext for a full recovery full setup for us then we can make a full backup and post it for others to use to get back to standerd T-Mobile firmware so til then do what is suggested

Canadian V11a works great on T-mobile P769BK phone, I am on at&t SIM, work great on at&t than it on t-mobile.
Actually, it is very clean rom without any bloatware except default web page to Wind Mobile website.

So can be rooted or not be rooted? I am confused on that one. I figured the same method would work as the 10E. I am hoping this will let me get back use of my recovery on my P769BK for T-mobile US. After a failed OTA reboot to recovery either reboots phone or goes to dead android.

I am using the Canadian 11A on my US T-Mobile P789BK. It can not be rooted using any of the current methods.
The firmware itself is nice in that it is fast and pretty much bloat free. The little bit that is there can easily be disabled.
Everything works great including wifi hotspot and usb tether. I have been running it for a week now and so far I haven't run into any problems.
I hope someone can come up with a method to root it as I would love to have that option once again.
BTW:
I have used the KDZ offline method to install USA 10G and Canadian 11A and there is no problem going back and forth between the two at any time. Even all apps, wallpaper, data...etc. remain untouched. You would not even know that you switched except for the additional T-Mobile apps and the boot screens.

Branded version aren't actually locked, this happens only for american carriers.
In Europe branded versions are just... Formality. If you want, you can wait until the official release for your phone, but you are able to flash the kdz without problems.

Wise and respectable choice, remember that using a firmware not designed for your exact version invalidates the warranty. But if you flash later your exact firmware (can be found online through youilr IMEI), warranty comes back.
Also, no one knows when will it be released, it should happen within 1-2 weeks max.

Has anyone tried using send_command to flash the LAF partition to BOOT (for backup sakes.. No, and honestly I don't think there will be. AT&T has locked this device down, and I mean locked it down HARD. If AT&T will release a tot or kdz then maybe we could get root, as someone could just make a pre-rooted system of the tot or kdz (right, guys?) but until (or if) they release it, I don't think there will be root. I would be willing to test for some things if I knew I could just flash back to stock if things go wrong but right now I can't, so I'm not willing to test for anything as I don't have the money to just go purchase another device if this one bricks.

You are kind of on the right path, but there is no way to just "flash" the t-mobile LAF partition. There are too many security variables that you need to find a work-around for, along with trying to find a way to get it onto your device.
Another thing is that THE SEND_COMMAND DOES NOT WORK ON THE G5. This has been talked about on many other threads, and it doesn't work.

Hello Everyone,
I want to ask if anyone has any experience with unlocking the LG G2 Mini. I have reserched a while and it seems to be there is no way of unlocking it for free. A link to a trustworthy, not too expensive website for unlocking codes would be helpfull!
Btw: just flashing a new custom ROM doesn't unlock the phone.
Thanks
Flash an unbranded stock kdz.
Then, whatever ROM you want.
Your carrier probably added the lock on the bootstack.

LG releases its stock ROMs in kdz format, which you can flash with LG Flash Tool.
I believe it contains all the partitions on the phone (though I could be wrong about this).

Sorry for being so late with my response. I flashed a kdz-Stock ROM quite a while ago now and it didn't worked out in my case. So the lock seems to be somewhere deeper in the phones software.

Are you sure it's unbranded?
If it has your provider's codename on it, then it's branded.
Flash one with the codename of the country (or general area) you live in.

Try flashing the actual bootstack from the Original Dev section.
If that doesn't work, then the lock is somewhere else.
Maybe in the partition that holds the IMEI. I don't know.
I can't help you much.
Flashed the Kitkat baseband from this thread (D620r):

But unfortunately it didn't helped. This Provider knows how to let his customers pay .
