my WiFi suddenly started having an issue where the WiFi will connect for a few seconds then disconnects saying its searching for connections, it started out of nowhere and I'm running the "[STOCK][D6503] Pre-rooted/stock 23.1.A.1.28 NCB [LATEST FW][UPDATED][May 4th 2015]" firmware.
Try to reboot both your router and your phone.

Hi,
I'm having a frustrating problem and I hope my Streak is not broken:
I got a new Streak today and updated it to 2.2.2. I had to download the update file manually with my PC because the wifi connection randomly disconnected.
I easily managed to set up wifi (I just had to enter the SSID and it worked) but the connection is very unstable. At best I can download 10 mb before it disconnects. While browsing it disconnects after seconds. I can't open larger sites like bbc.com.
I can see the WiFi symbol on the taskbar dissappear every ~3 seconds.
Other devices such as my laptop have no issues connecting to my wifi.
thx
It seems to work now (*puh*). However I don't know why.
I did a factory reset, a router reset and installed wifi analyzer.
Would be glad if some explained to me what the issues might have been here.
Hey
I have some strange problems with my Wlan connectivity. When i reconnect it works for some time, but then after a few seconds to minutes the internet just dies. The connection is still up and looks like up and downloading. But internet won't work.
Same problems on 4.0.4 and 4.1.2
Greatz
I have beed searching over the net for few weeks, but fail to found any solution.
I have a E5823 using 32.0.A.6.200 (non-rooted lollipop), the previous one is a D5833.
My home has only one wifi router which set to reboot at the early morning, to prevent the firmware crush due to usb IO error.
While using my z3c, my phone will reconnect to the wifi after router reboot. But when I switch to z5c, strange happens.
My z5c is able to see the SSID (which it should automatically connect to), but it cannot make any connection to it i.e. always showing connecting and still stay at mobile data. I have to manually switch off wifi and turn it on again for another connection. The problem can be reproduced by a manual reboot of my router...
Is it a bug about my z5c firmware?
I have the same problem. When I get out of my WiFi zone and came back, it won't auto reconnect unless i turn on my screen which is pretty annoying as I have VoIP for business usage.
The wifi randomly disconnects and with the error: Authentication Problem. The phone wont reconnect to another wifi hotspot until I manually make it do it. This happenns on the 5GHz band (I haven't tested it on 2.4). This problem doesn't happen with any other device connected to the same wifi router. Does anyone know what could cause this problem?
I had a similar problem where my G5 took ages to connect to WiFi and then it would randomly disconnect.
Try deleting every saved WiFi network you have, except for the ones you use. Just long press each one and hit "forget".
See if that fixes your problem.
I have only 2 saved networks (the 2 bands: 2.4 and 5). The wifi worked without any issue for the last two weeks until yesterday when the phone disconnected with the Authentication Problem error. I have to mention that the phone connects immediately to the wifi if I manually select the network and when I turn on the wifi.
I would then suggest the problem is with the network.
Either reset your network (unplug router, wait, replug) or try with a different WiFi.
I had an outage a week ago and that problem persisted until my provider fixed their problem. These "authentication" issues can be from anything network related.
I will try with another router. The annoying part is that I cannot reproduce the error manually, it's way too random.
Hi guys, I'm having some problems with the wifi, when connecting on my router wifi it disconnects frequently, if I go into the wlan page it does like switching off and on repeatedly for a couple of times, then some other times it connects but says disabled line. If I connect it to my phone hotspot it doesn't give any problem. I tried to reset my router, it fixes the problem for a while but sooner or later it starts again. Can you please help me out? Thank you!
