Hi,
I currently have the G925L version of the S6 edge, (with LTE-A), and I really dont like that there are built in korean system apps, as well as limited development. there are also some options missing like selecting mobile connectivity (it is just set to LTE, no option for 3g or 2g) Is there any way that i can flash the G925F version over it without having problems with the mobile connectivity? because maybe the mobile chip is different.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've recently bought a Galaxy S3, Module: SHV-E210L from a website it seems to be original i check with some apps on the Appstore.
But for some reason it can only connect to 3G while in my galaxy s2 i could connect to H+.
I tried to upgrade the firmware to 4.3 but it didnt help. Also I cant make video calls i got this weird icon on the status bar that i guess i related and when i try to make a video call i get: Videos Calls not supported in international roaming area.(I attached a file with the icon)
I tried to deselect roaming(althogh my carrier said to keep it on) it didnt help.
Thank you very very much for the support
Your in the i9300 / 305 forum you need help from the e210l community.
The S3 you bought is a Korean model and so its optimised for Korean network bands. By using it in your own country the phone thinks its roaming, hence why a.) You have two clocks on your lockscreen and b.) You can only connect to 3G and not H+ or 4G LTE (that variant is 4G enabled).
Its probably also why you can't make video calls.
Thank you for your replies ill go to the other forum, but can you please tell me if there is anything i can do about it? like a installing some other rom or something?
S6 Edge on Three in UK not switching to 4G/LTE.
Network search fails to find any 4G networks despite all four networks being found by another phone.
S6 Edge Network mode is set to LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect).
Any suggestions?
I can confirm my S6 Edge definitely finds Three 4G. Do you definitely have service? Which model and CSC?

Thank you.
Yes definitely had service. Tested it yesterday at multiple locations, with another phone alongside it. S6 Edge could connect to data at H & H+ rates but no 4G/LTE. A network scan revealed that it was not finding any 4G networks, yet same scan on other phone alongside it revealed 4G from Three, O2, Vodafone and EE.
It is set in the correct mode (LTE/WCDMA/GSM) but it seems that the phone is unaware of its LTE capability.
Does anyone know if there is a status screen or service screen that will show if the 4G/LTE bands are enabled?
SOLVED:
A quick wipe of the cache and the phone is now finding 4G/LTE networks.

Just tried it and it is working thanks!
Please could you list the steps how you have wipe the cache?
I facing same issues
SOLVED - FYI I just reset network settings by going - apps/settings/backup&reset/reset network settings and restored these to default. 4g came back instantly. Hope this helps
I have a Galaxy S6 edge g925i currently on T mobile. What do I have to flash in order to get WiFi calling, voLTE, advanced messaging, etc. The kernel or the rom or is that even possible?
Also in the U. S. Considering just trying it in to T mobile and getting their version if nothing else works.
Has anyone confirmed that I would be able to use a US Cellular S6 Edge on Cricket. I have read quite a bit of info on the subject and it looks like all the CDMA versions of the phone have the appropriate band support, although I may have to root it and enable them in the service menu. Does this sound correct? Thanks for the help!!
I just bought one from eBay 2 days ago. It's a US celluar s6 edge and it's working on cricket for me. The only problem I have is that sometimes it won't let me send text messages. I have to switch airplane mode on then off and it will work. When I try to add the apn it will save but after about an hour it gets erased.
The only problem I had was not being able to text when it was on 4glte. I rooted it and set my network to wcdma preferred and now I don't have any issues. Texts, calling and data all work great
I live in Bangladesh. I have SM-G965N Exynos single sim Korean KT mobile version with stock rom, latest update- non root. Everything is smooth- my only gripe is- in the Mobile Network option, there is a preferred network selection dropdown but i only see LTE/3G only and 3G only. Nothing else.
I really don't need 3G cause most of the times, i am on Wifi and i don't use mobile internet. I really need 2G option- this also does improve battery life.
Any option i can try or ask a service tech guy to do so that i can get that full selection of network availability? My phone has one or two KT app which cannot be deleted. Any trick to just flash the modem file?
no one out there to even point me to the right direction?
