Hey folks,
I used CM 12.1 for a bit and although it rocks, the battery life is just terrible.
So now iam back on Touchwiz, all is great except for one thing..
The lockscreen, its just terrible. I got used to double tapping to open notifications.
Is there any way to get the standard lollipop lockscreen in a touchwiz rom?
Google only gives me results for JB or an outdated app on the playstore.
Thanks in advance.
You could try CM Locker
From playstore not ASOP
But far better then
Samsungs LP lockscreen.

Would it be possible to have a few of TouchWiz's features, such as S-Beam, the Motion Gestures, the Camera App, the Pop-up player, etc but running on stock Android?
I like the features TouchWiz has, but I prefer the look and performance of stock Android.
Would it be possible to either theme the entire UI to make it look like stock Jelly Bean, while keeping the TouchWiz features?
I'm currently on CM10. I've already seen various threads on whether it is possible to port TouchWiz features on CM10.
I'm willing to remain on stock Samsung Jelly Bean, but I want the appearance of the phone to look similar to that of pure android.
I'm using Nova Launcher to theme my homescreen, and various widgets, however, if you are on TouchWiz when you open settings or the notification bar, the UI is not very attractive, and it's not very functional either - stock Jelly bean is far better in that respect, but TouchWiz's few killer features are absolutely amazing!
Thanks!
You can't have your cake and eat it too
So, is that a no? Because I'd love the same thing. The look of JB Vanilla but with some of the Samsung apps like S Planner and S Memo which I think are fantastic. Would love to get those .apks to use on another ROM.
Yeah, doesn't seem like it's possible!
Although sidthegreatest's point was good.
I'm going to try and set up a dual boot setup instead - with stock TouchWiz operating as my secondary ROM, and CyanogenMod10 running as primary.
Already have Siyah kernel installed!
I'm currently using SuperNexus and love it. No bloat, pretty much a raw jelly bean OS. Everything works fine. The only thing I'm missing that I really wish I had, was the notification toggles. The app store has some apps that mimic the feature but none of them work the way I like,
So, can anyone tell me which ROM is as basic as SuperNexus, but with the notification toggles integrated?
Temasek's build
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797109
I will check it out.
I'm sort of confused. A lot of ROMs say they are based off CM10. So is CM10 pretty much the pure Android OS with no extras? I can't find a feature list for CM10.
Yeah its based off AOSP, a lot roms use CM10 as a base depending on what hardware the cm10 was built for
Thanks. I will check out Temaseks in a second.
I am glad I found omega ROM v34, it's a nice try for me & I think I'm gonna stick with it..
Use CM10 for pure android experience. You can install notification toggle mod in your rom too if you only want that feature.
I'm also using SuperNexus too and is a great ROM for a pure stock android experience, I missed the notification toggles too but found this app and it does everything i want and even more check it out is called Notification Toggles

Liquid Smooth ROM
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I would suggest SlimBean! It's truly Basic AOSP with the main features needed! I am loving this ROM and no bugs with it at all. Check out their thread. It is one of my favourite ROMs ever, also they update it frequently.
Hey guys,
Why isnt there any modded version of trebuchet? On any CM rom with 68 ram or less device, another third party launcher consumes 50 mb ram which is just a waste where there is a stock launcher. SO why using third party like Nova or apex? Well Trebuchet doesnt offer even basic customization? LIke changing icon, app drawer grid, unread notifications etc etc.
I dont know why CM team doesnt update it. Its the same **** since god knows how long. Or as a matter of fact, no dev has worked ont hat who are working with CM roms! Why the hell not?
Tried searching everywhere but didnt get a single mdoded version!
Please inform me if there is!
Regards
Zia
trebuchet is always the best it cannot be themed directly but it is compitable with all the CM themes. For example if you switch the CM to xperia theme the launcher also changes with it.
Hi guys,
As the title says, I'm looking for some custom Jelly Bean 4.3 Roms based on official Samsung Rom for my i9100, so it would have Touchwiz also.
Currently i keep switching between CM10.2 (4.3.1) and Wanamlite 14.7 (4.1.2).
I like Wanamlite just because it uses the Samsung Touchwiz interface i like so much. Other than that, any other stock Rom, rooted and debloated would do just about the same.
What i like about CM10.2 and cyanogenmod in general is the speed and stability the Rom feels like. Also, the latest 4.3 Roms gave me infinitely great battery lives compared to any other JB Rom i tried since. And judging from other posts and reviews on the internet, Google worked their magic on 4.3 to help small batteries run through the day (almost double the life of 4.1.2 or even worst 4.2.x).
So it seems the perfect combo for me would be a 4.3 custom with TW.
Is there such a Rom, because it seems i can't find it.
Thanks.
There is no such thing. TouchWiz is more than a launcher. It`s a full system framework integrated in pretty much everything. For example, TW ads the speed dial and video call in phone app, the swipe to quick call or message in contacts app, SNS integration, FM Radio. And of course all the other "smart" features, like smart display.
If however, you don't need any of the features mentioned above, you can find custom launchers with skins that look exactly like TW and use them on any custom rom.
Thank you for your reply.
I realize i can install some Launcher apps to get some of the TW "feel", as i already tried Apex and Nova launchers. But they don't come even close to the real TW experience. As you said, TW is more than an icon set or interface color set. It's also about built-in apps and features. I know nothing about coding and programming on Android, so i thought one could implement TW along all those apps into some custom ROM like CM10.2 (4.3).
So, i guess i was wrong.
If so, this thread can be closed.
Thank you.
What I mean is there a kitkat or a lollipop rom that is available for the gs2 that doesn't use a 3rd party launcher, like nova or apex. I never really liked any of those. Is it possible? I'm just curious. I just installed lollipop cyanmod 12.1 and loving it but really dislike the custom launcher.
Anything for kitkat?Heard it runs better on the s2

Slim roms has their slimlauncher, which is like a slimmed down version of trebuchet (the launcher in cyangenmod). What about google's launcher? I guess you're not a fan of all of the features right? You prefer simplicity and speed correct? What kind of launcher are you looking towards at?
Well I came from jellybean (neatrom) and it had the default os launcher, no third party app with annoying settings. I'm looking to go away from lollipop installed it for a day and the battery is pretty bad. Is there maybe like a touchwiz version of kitkat for the s2?

Hey,
So as per your liking, maybe you would want to try out this ROM. It is based on KitKat, and has touchwiz interface: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...atives/rom-touchwiz-resurrection-rom-t2491822
Another option for you would be to go back on a JellyBean based ROM, if you want good battery life and new touchwiz interface: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...vatives/rom-s5-unique-look-stability-t2629897
