Hi all,
I've got a strange problem with my Gear Fit. It stopped counting steps and waking up on hand guest. Now I've done a check of sensor using a test mode, instructions found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739949
Gyroscope and Accelerometer is showing different real values while Gear Fit is moving. However the Fit is not waking up on guest and not counting steps.
Now reboot by holding for 7 sec the power button was done.
Erasing the data and pairing again the Fit was done.
I'm out of ideas now....
Anyone had such issue?
Regards,
P
Fixed it Just figure out what was wrong. The accelerometer was showing a strange high value on the y axis. Now restarts did not solve it. I've remembered that I've hit a wall with the watch yesterday.... Not big hit but apparently was enough to hung the accelerometer in the watch. Now with running test menu -> sensors and graph I've hit it again (not very hard) from the top and it started to work again ....
Just pasting this if someone will look for a answer.

The accelerometer on my Razr Maxx works promptly and perfectly except under two conditions. The first -- if I'm lying down, say on a couch or in bed, and holding the device over my head facing down. In this position the device will almost immediately shut off over and over. It won't reboot, just shut down. I can always restart it the same way I would from any "sleep". I can get the device to stay on merely by rotating it to face "up" no matter whether I change position or location or run or do not run any particular application. Is this common? Is it by design for some reason? The second -- if I have Button Savior installed, the Maxx accelerometer will work but there will be a significant delay in responding. Like 15-30 seconds delay! No Button Savior - no delay. Install Button Savior - delay. Uninstall Button Savior again - no delay. This troubles me as I really like Button Savior even on devices that have "hard" buttons. Having these controls right under my thumb is the fastest way to navigate, for me. Button Savior (updated) works perfectly for me on other Android phones, on my rooted Nook Color (CM7), even on my rooted Nook Touch. Any cures for either ill?
Hi
The accelerometer issue... does this happens from the first day you bought it? I trying searching similar issues, could not find anything. I am almost sure it is physical defect of some kind, you should probably take it back for replacement.
I don't know if the accelerometer issue related to Button Savior began when I first installed the app (as opposed to coming from a particular app update, for instance) as it took a long process of elimination to find the connection. As to the "upside down" issue I believe it has always done that. However -- it only does it if I TURN ON the device while it is upside down. If I start using it facing up, say watching a video, and then turn it upside down the video continues to play flawlessly. Bizarre!
I know there is an option to use the light sensor to detect when your phone is in your pocket, and turn off. Maybe it's on on your phone, and it's detecting lower light when you flip it over and shutting the screen off?
ok, so i misunderstood the issue, i thought the phone turns off completely...
if it only goes into "silent" or "lock" mode... maybe you installed some kind of app that does that when you flip? or maybe your player has one of those settings? like... say you are in a meeting, with your phone on the table, it rings... you just flip it and it goes silent.... some android build have that as a default setting already...
here, check this so u understand better what i mean :

hope this helps!
tried updating yet? i had the same problems prior to the 65.1.40 update
Hi,
I've just had my screen replaced on the LG G5. However, post screen replacement I am facing the following problems:
- As soon as I dial a number the screen goes black and locks itself. I need to press the button at the back to unlock the screen.
- If i make a call using whatsapp, as soon as I hit dial the screen locks itself
I checked and it looks like my proximity sensor is not working. In the apps that I use to test it, it either just reads '0" for the proximity sensor or "NEAR".
Anyone else faced similar issues or have a solution?
I just had my screen/frame replaced and am having the same problem. Tap to wake rarely works and while making a call the display stays on while phone is to my ear. Did you find a fix?
I fixed my problem doing some Googling. I can't post the link to the thread but Google "LG G5 Proximity Sensor Reddit mobile repair".
"I had a similar problem. I replaced my display/frame myself and the tap to wake function rarely worked and the phone display would stay lit when held to my ear. Following the advice here, I found that there was a rubber grommet around the prox sensor window on the old screen that I hadn't transferred over. It's very hard to see and almost looks like it is molded into the frame. I dug it out with some tweezers and transferred it over and it is back to normal."
Hello all,
I have treated this phone very carefully since I have got it about a year ago just to mention but all of a sudden at work today lock-screen said it could not use fingerprints and then suddenly the settings regarding the fingerprint sensor disappeared. Anyone got any clue on how to bring them back? The button itself is working fine.
Thanks.
No one has any ideas? If I replace the button using my Ifixit kit does anyone know if that would fix this?
If you used your fingerprint button with wet fingers or if some light humidity was near the button he stops working. Wait some time and then restart your phone. Had the same problem many times. Maybe a "safety feature" by LG?
I have left it for a while, I also tried some Isopropyl alcohol as others have advised with their malfunctioning power buttons and that didn't do anything.
I had the same problem, replaced the fingerprint power button module. Now it's working. Just followed ifix
Hello all,
my Stratos 2 (A1619) is about 5 days old. I downloaded the most recent official Firmware suggested by the smartphone app (2.3.4.0). Still everything was fine. After installing a lot of watchfaces I experienced problems similar to Youtube 4zQLNsVWvvc (sorry I am not allowed to post external links).
It was not only the screen jumping around but also touchscreen buttons seemed to be pressed repeatedly ("ghostpresses" - like one would press e.g. once a second on the middle of the screen).
I unbound the watch, rebound it, did a factory reset, bound it again. Another factory reset without restoring data and finally it came almost back to normal - except this problem:
If there is a button on the right lower part of the screen like e.g. the purple "nut" button for settings or the "Stop" button of the stopwatch it is extremely hard to hit. The buttons next to these on the right (e.g. "brightness" resp. "Lap/Reset)" are easy to hit.
The touchscreen in general seems to be O.K. because swiping works perfectly fine - even in the right lower corner. Only the buttons there are extremely hard to hit. Maybe one of twenty tries works.
Initially all buttons worked perfectly - so I don't think that it is a hardware problem.
Did someone experience similar problems resp. is there a solution like e.g.:
- increasing the sensitive "size" of the buttons
- recalibrate/reset the touchscreen
Maybe there is an algorithm, that automatically calibrates (learns) the buttons from the presses that got crazy during the "ghostpress" phase?
Probably it's a hardware problem, it's too new (the only other thing that would cause ghost presses are dirty screens, but I don't think it's the case), you should replace it under warranty as soon as possible.
I have a similar problem with my left corner touchscreen buttons.
Here is the result of my hardware secret menu for the lcd screen of stratos.

Have you had the same result?
Hey everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out.
I just bought this phone used and I'm noticing a weird issue in Android
There are 3 dots near the top of the display that I can see flashing.
I've tried doing a reset to see if this works, but it doesn't.
These dots ONLY show up after Android is initialized. On the same screen during the reset process, you can't see them. I've included a couple of videos showing what I'm talking about
First video shows the phone after a factory reset
Second video shows the boot screen after a restart from Android
Third video shows it during normal app usage in Android
Fourth video shows the recovery menu to ensure Android hasn't loaded

Those are the proximity sensors.
The bad news is that you need to tell Motorola to replace your phone.
I'm not sure what the good news is here.
I have the three dots too, just purchased 5 days ago. It's just the proximity sensors. I know it's kinda annoying, but they only flash occasionally and it's not easy to see unless you're in darkness or doing something to trigger them. I'm choosing to ignore them -- seems all of the moto edge phones do this, really doesn't bother me and I can't be bothered returning the phone when the screen seems to be working OK.

3 dots
I have had a lot of issues with my phone screen but I've never seen the 3 dots
hello
The device I just received has the same problem as you. The three dots flashing on the screen should be sensors

Yes we have a common problem, but the three dots flashing on the screen are supposed to be sensors, and I wonder what kind of sensor it is
Yes those 3 dots worried me te first day I noticed them but I just tested the proximity sensor and they are under the screen so is not a issue.. but I have a question.. did you guys experienced a battery drain in stand by?
