Ii just rooted my LTE Nexus 9 and I am confused as to which ROMs are safe to flash on my device. Some are labeled Wi-Fi only while other just say flounder. Which are OK for me to flash? Thanks in advance.
Earlier today, Google posted the 5.1.1 image for the LTE variant. I'd suggest you wait until some developer modifies that ROM. Haven't read anything specific on the Nexus 9, but generally ROMs are NOT interchangeable between the wifi-only and LTE sub-model on tablets.

Hi all,
I just received my Rogers galaxy tab '4G' (3G) and I am wanting to root, unlock bootloader and put CWM onto it. I have already done so with my Atrix 4G, and this process seems fairly easier. My question is, Are there certain ROMs specific to the 3G version? or could I load any ROM on as long as I use the right Kernel? Also are there any 3G users that can tell me what ROM they are currently using?
Thanks,
Tayshun
I'm also new to the galaxy 10.1 section. I found this thread in the development section which proved quite handy and answered my questions.

The rom they show for the 3G model seems outdated. Thats why I was wondering if I could flash a WIFI ROM as I will not be using 3G anyways.
Hello,
I'm have a 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 (VZW), model number SCH-i905, and I want to get rooted and install a custom ROM. I just can't figure out which root methods and which ROMs are compatible with my model. Can I use anything that works for the Wifi-only model with my model?
If someone could help me out, I'd REALLY appreciate it. I want to get up and running but I'm worried to try things out of fear that I might brick my device.
Thanks a lot.
EDIT: NOT SCH-i9500, SCH-i905 is what I meant. It won't let me change the title though.
Roms are limited. With any of the ICS roms I am pretty sure you will lose cell, so no 4G anymore. There was an older HC rom, I think it was LiquidSpeed. I am not aware of any other roms that work with the sch-i905.
I'm sure there's a thread on this but I can't seem to find it. I have a verizon lte galaxy tab 10.1. Is there a jb or ics rom out there that supports the lte connection? Or a patch I need to apply to get it working in cyanogenmod or something?
The quick answer is no. Verizon has not released the drivers for their modem so it has not been harmonized in any ROMS.
Hey folks, am thinking of getting an LTE Nexus 9 now that they work on Verizon.
But it seems all the good custom ROM's are for the WiFi version of the tablet.
How hard is it to get the LTE working if I were to flash a WiFi ROM on the LTE tablet?
Most specifically, I like the AICP ROM's and SLIM (if they ever return).
I don't guess it's as simple as flashing a modem, huh.
I have what was a Verizon Samsung S4. After switching SIMS from my old LG Leon LTE, and some help from MetroPCS, it is now running on the MetroPCS (T-Mobile) network. The phone is currently at Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop).I would like to upgrade it to Marshmallow. My question: Should my questions here about custom ROMS be addressed to the Verizon Samsung S4 forum, since the stock rom has not been upgraded or customized, other than being rooted, or should my questions be directed to the T-Mobile Samsung S4 forum, since I'm on their network now, and an upgrade of my rom, still using their network, is what I wish to achieve. As the thread title denotes, this is an extreme Noob question, but I'd appreciate an answer. Thank you in advance.
You are gonna have to stick with the Verizon Galaxy S4 forums for your device. The firmware for the Verizon and T-Mobile variants are different and if you attempted to flash the wrong software you would likely end up with a bricked device. My best suggestion for you is to use your Google-Fu and search for everything you can find about using a Verizon Galaxy S4 on MetroPCS. There is a ton of good, useful information in the Verizon Galaxy S4 General forums and the Q & A Forums. Scroll through the stickies and read, read, read. This will give you the most relevant answers to your questions. Also, are you currently rooted? Do you have a custom recovery installed like CWM or TWRP?

Thank you so much for your reply. As noted in my post, "the stock rom has not been upgraded or customized, other than being rooted". I have done nothing to the phone aside from rooting it via Kingo Root, and getting MetroPCS to switch the IMEI from Verizon to MetroPCS. I guess my real question was: Am I now running a Verizon Samsung S4 on the T-Mobile (MetroPCS) network or, since I'm successfully on the T-Mobile (MetroPCS) network am I now running a T-Mobile (MetroPCS) Samsung S4? My hesitation is based on what you stated. I don't want to brick my phone based on loading the wrong carrier based ROM.

I don't want to waste Verizon guys time with T-Mobile (MetroPCS) questions, or vice-versa. Thanks again.

No problem. Hope I helped in at least some way. Good luck with your S4.
