Hi Folks,
I flashed Foxhound 1.4.1 earlier and tried to flash CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar with Mobile Odin so I could use ClockWorkMod to its full extent, but the phone is now stuck in a bootloop - the Mobile Odin logo appears then it quickly reboots.
I've tried removing the battery and starting in Recovery mode and Download mode, but the Mobile Odin flashing logo comes on no matter what I try.
I've even tried connecting the phone to my PC and running Odin, but it doesn't recognise the phone
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Robbie

I would pull the battery, wait 30 seconds and reinsert the battery, go in downloadmode if possible and flash a stock rom with Odin. Than reroot with CF Root. If not possible try a jig to get in downloadmode. Good luck :fingers-crossed:
Enter into recovery mode , run wipe data , factory reset , reboot. mobile odin logo should disappear. Enters into download mode, flash new firmware stock samsung. http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/

Thank you
I've just been told that dinner's ready, so will leave the battery out until after that.
If I need to buy a jig, can you please recommend the best place to pick one up?

I managed to get into Download mode and reflashed CF-Root with Odin.
Thanks for the advice
Here are the four things you need to download (click on the "download original" button on the pages):
1 Odin Multi Uploader https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwNCaWy_zhKpZlFtZVZOWmdTbG1xWFdhVG1NSjF1dw/edit?pli=1
2 Cooper OPS file https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwNCaWy_zhKpc3VraEtTNDNUZU9FM01KNG1WQkRldw/edit?pli=1
3 Samsung Drivers (You only need these if you dont have Kies installed. If you never installed Samsung Kies, then install these drivers) https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwNCaWy_zhKpVWlWY3huaTdUOXlPR09YRWdYZFU0dw/edit?pli=1
4 The Firmware Package https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwNCaWy_zhKpYXFqaUhYc1dScy1tbURySk9wTFBWUQ/edit?usp=drive_web&pli=1
Ok, once you download all those, follow these steps:
5 Unplug your phone from the PC
6 Install the Samsung Drivers and reboot your PC
7 Extract the Firmware Package zip file and place the two files directly on your desktop
8 Run the Odin program
9 Put your phone in Download Mode and connect it to the PC
10 Put a checkmark on the One Package, Auto Reboot, and Protect OPS options.
11 Click on the OPS Button, and load the Cooper OPS file you downloaded
12 On the bottom of Odin, click on the One Package button.
13 Choose the long named file (S5830DDQ8_ etc.) from your desktop that you unzipped from the firmware package file
14 Press the Start button on Odin
15 Wait about 5-10 minutes, until Odin says "Pass!" at the top. You can then disconnect your phone and if it doesnt reboot on its own, turn it on.
Very Important: As soon as your phone loads, do a factory reset to avoid bootloop. Go into the Settings App, choose Privacy, and then reset the phone. This will complete the process and your phone will be back to an "out of the box" condition. :good:
Hi Sir, I followed your instructions even Odin Pass the flashing of the firmware, it always looping on boot, from samsung logo to boot animation then to samsung logo again, and so on..
glad you can help me here thanks

Be patient and try to follow carefully. But I am afraid to say that if you have done something wrong with above process then you may be never able to recover your ACE. After using Odin method and recovering your ACE to stock mode and following the wiping cache/factory reset etc your ACE will be in perfect factory released condition. After that if you wish to install any custom ROM you need to flash the ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6.zip file. This file you can get easily from Galaxy Ace XDA forum. ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6 will enable your rooted device recovery mode functionality to work properly while flashing custom Galaxy ACE 5830 ROMs.
P.S: Precautions:
1. Always use rooted device. (Flash 'Root.zip' once if your device is not rooted)
2. Always follow the instructions written by developer to flash his customized ROM with maximum care that you can for getting things done in proper way.
3. Read the reviews and posts of the customized ROM carefully to get yourself acquainted with the issues and problems of that particular ROM.

I was also having the same problem as of yours but after following the above instructions properly everything was all right. I hope you understand what steps 9-15 exactly means. If you don't then you have surely bricked your phone while trying those steps.
For getting your phone in download mode follow these steps
1. disconnect the usb and switch off the phone.
2. Press volume up + Down and connect usb to phone.
3. The phone will boot in download mode automatically and the drivers will be loaded.
Also let me know if you are successfully getting the 15th step "Pass" msg and if you are rebooting it properly and doing factory reset etc.. ?

flashing only takes 5-6minutes not 11..if u waited for so long better to unplug the device and put it again on download mode..on ODIN reset the files,,if u encounterting BOOTLOP download fullpackage which include APPBOOT, a fullpackage that i only used is XXKPH firmware, if u wanted to UPGRADE to 2.3.6 download XWKTM, XWKPT any of that file, its the best stock ROM last for a day..
note: if u are flashing via odin the OPS file should be renamed to Cooper_v1.0.ops this is very important so that flashing will success..
For Avoiding the bootloop go to recovery mod after you flashed the firmware and do factory reset and reboot the phone.,the bootloop problem will be fix..

Its already mentioned if you have read my steps carefully that- after flashing your ROM you need to do a factory reset/wipes in CWM recovery MOD; I think readers are not paying attention to that statement so I've changed the colour and font style

Hi Kaushik,

It tries to install the USB driver then pops up an error which says "FAILED". I even tried the android drivers on their official website. Doesn't work
Kindly, help

if it goes to cwm recovery then wipe the data first using cwm before connecting via usb..it may help in odin detection. .

Hi Everyone,
Now my phone is getting detected via USB, but the problem now is the backlight keeps on flashing every now and then & even during the "FLASH" process through ODIN it doesn't stay long in the "Download Mode". It restarts itself.
What can be the issue ? Is it the battery ?

Thank you everyone.. The problem now has been resolved.
1. Initially, The USB connection wasn't getting detected,.. That's because i wasn't able to go to the download mode and always used to be welcomed with CWM Recovery Mode.
2. After trying so many things, the battery got depleted which created problems in reflashing the CWM to get rid of boot loop.
3. The Battery wasn't getting charged through Wall Socket charger initially and got it some how charged through CWM Mode for half an hour
4. Plugged the USB connection back and got into the Download Mode and then Voila ! the usb connection was detected and i reflashed it.. The Boot loop is no more there..
Thank you guys

A a fully depeleted battery will take some time to register some charge or if its charging at all , ideally taking a battery to that level is not advisable but anyway all's well that end's well :good:
Hi,
Am new to XDA- Forums so please pardon me if am not clear in my questions/queries.
Issue:
I am using Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 , few days back it suddenly went into bootloop( every time i switch on the device it starts upto Samsung logo and re-starts the same process again and again).
Details:
OS : 4.3.3 Jelly Bean
Observations:
Recovery mode is not available - it only shows an android icon with an exclamatory mark and a caption 'No Command'.
Resolutions tried:
1) Tried flashing the ROM with Official stock Rom but all practices in vain.
Possible reasons:
Is the device soft bricked. or is it a power button shot which causes it to boot loop.
Kindly assist me. Thanks in Advance

Yes.. it goes in download mode.
Flash a full stock firmware, the latest for your country, using Odin then factory reset.
If that works then all is well, but you might find Odin fails to flash due to nand memory damage/wear.
Hi,
Thanks to all for your valuable time and suggestions.
Currently my device is started and is working. But there are hick-up's which needs some clarifications.
Below steps were performed:
1) Initially I did not use to get recovery option from where i was not able to wipe data, so after researching a bit i found a suggestion to apply re-partition. So i used 'GT-I9300_mx_20120329_100%.pit' file and started the re-partition. All went fine but in Odin during re-partition it was stuck at a statement 'NAND write start' for about more then 30 minutes. So i was worried n unplugged the device in between. Fortunately after restart, it went into recovery mode and i applied wipe data factory reset.
2) Still the device got stuck in some weird screen called 'installier der anderden'. But now no bootloop (an affirmative sign :laugh.
3)Today i installed the official stock rom of samsung galaxy s3 for india and now its working. But the hick- up is
it restarts/ hangs or it shows Unfortunately so n so app has stopped.
Need guidance on below points:
1)Should i re-partition again using the .pit file. (now i will re-partition using 'SG3 16GB White.pit' got a link for this from xda forum).
2) After re-partition, installation of stock rom.
Thanks in advance.
Flash stock firmware and pit at the same time, then factory reset afterward.
If the phone still freezes or restarts after this then nand memory is worn, for which there is no cure.
Unfortunately every google app stops after some time.
Any solution/recommendations..
Should i apply re-partition and again apply an official stock rom ..
