I've tried this numerous times with the same failure mode. Odin fails at the NAND Write step. I have an S6 Edge from Rogers wireless in Canada and am using the firmware from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/stock-firmware-official-stock-firmware-t3086387
Any suggestions?
delete the hidden img
If I delete the hidden.img from the Firmware, does it this mean I can flash 9250 firmware on 925F model?
Many Thanks
if you have s6 edge it might be GF925f/i and you are trying to flash g920 which is for s6 normal versions i think that is the problem never tried to flash s6 rom on s6 edge
try out by downloading the same rom as you re model you can see it in back of the phone

Could you please explain a little further. how to delete de hidden.img in the MD5 firmware file that is going to be flashed? I get the exact same error in ODIN. I'm trying to flash and International Version's firmware (G925IDVU1AOE2_G925IODD1AOE2_G925IDVU1AOE2_HOME.tar.md5) onto my Sprint s6 edge.
In your screenshot is G920W8 and in s6 edge should be G925!

i have samsung s6 edge 925F model, mistakenly i wipe the system, cache, delvik, internal storage of my phone in TWRP..
Now i download stock rom for my phone from Sammobile, i.e a zip file, i transffered that file into my storage and tried to install it in TWRP but the flashing stopped very soon and the error was: zip is corrupt or invalid..
I tried on Odin, by loading the md5 file of that zip, but a write protection error and hidden image. fail causes failure...
I could install the hidden image separately but that does but that does not change anything the process is successful but the phone doesnt loads as the OS is not installed...
Kindly plz help, as odin is having the protection and hidden error and TWRP shows it invalid or corrupt..
i have downloaded 3 different stock roms and all are showing the same problems...

You can NOT flash sammobile .md5 firmware through twrp.
Download the firmware. Unpack the zip. Then use 7zip or something to unpack the AP file or if it's one file unpack the .md5 file. Delete the hidden.img file. Repack the firmware and flash again through odin.

Alternatively if you have twrp then you can flash a custom ROM.

Hi. Basically I tried updating my bootloader and modem for my Galaxy S6 Edge so I could install a custom 5.1.1 Touchwiz ROM and after flashing them I've got the following error "System rev. Check fail. Device:2, Binary:1" I've looked into it and everybody says to try the 5.1.1 stock firmware but i've just realised that EE haven't even rolled out their carrier specific version of 5.1.1 yet and with it being an EE phone what are my options? Please I am desperate for some help!
I experienced the same problem with my international version. Needless to say I had to download Samsung kies on my desktop PC and go to tools and update firmware. Im stuck on 5.1.1 because you can't downgrade after that but at least I'm out of that error and my phone works.

I had tha same... but my phone won´t recover with the Kies ¬¬
try to download a 5.1.1 firmware which matches most..and delete the hidden.img from it..for that rename the tar.md5 to tar and using winrar to unpack.. download the multitool from original development thread and copy the files to input directory.. now using the tool to repack into a Odin flashable format...

try to make the same again with wipe.. go Odin options.. also look that you don't have reactivation lock go Samsung account
Fail with wipe... and the rom i´m trying to flash, sometimes fails in the middle, and sometimes pass... when the phone start, after the fist samsung logo appear, this light blue screen and android start to install, and in the middle stops and appear in the screen " erasing " and after the phone reboot.
I´m thinking i´ll have to wait for the exact firmware for my G925I ZTO, no other is passing.. any ideas?
sadly no

Man, I just got fixed my G925I, I delete the files (hidden img, cm.bin and sboot.bin) from the firmware from UK and flash.
You can use the Total Commander for that, it´s pretty easy.
I flash 2 times to work... The phone reboot 3 times and than works perfectly.
If fails in Odin, reconnect the cable and try again. It will work.
didint know where to post this but yeah move if you need.
So i rooted my phone and in TWRP i thought i was factory resetting and i wiped EVERYTHING including my OS.
Like the mong i am i didnt backup at all. I'm on an S6 edge, SM-G925F and its just stuck on the Samsung galaxy s6 edge screen.
I've tried flashing in odin but i just get an error at the very last bit on hidden.img FAIL!
I've tried sideloading using ADB but i can no longer get into TWRP, only the recovery screen. When i could get into twrp when pushing the system.img (3.55GB) it just says fail protocol.
Someone please help! I'll pay $10 through paypal for who ever helps me!

Oh right. Your method didnt work but after downloading 9GB of files i managed to find a .tar.md5 that actually supported my phone.
Thanks for your help though!
Hello friends, im new to the S6 forum. A fer days back i bought a used S6 Edge from ebay for very cheap. The phone had "software issues" according to the seller. I tought that it would not be so difficult to just download the correct firmware for it and flash it with ODIN, but it seems that it will be a little more complicated than that.
When i turn on the phone, it shoes the samsung s6 edge splash screen and then turns of and on again in a bootloop. When i try to access recovery mode by presing vol up + home + power nothing happens. I only have access to download mode. First i tried flashing arecovery into it, the ODIN process completed succesfully but I still cannot access recovery. I then tried to flash a firmware with ODIN and the process failed from the start. I got a NAND START WRITE FAILED message.
So at this point I really dont know what else to try. I have some sort of experience with LG and HTC phones but not so much with samsung, but if someone can point me on the right direction I think that i will be able to do it. Any help and ideas would be really apreciated!
BTW my S6 Edge is the emerald green version. Ive seen that the color matters somehow...?

Thanks! i already tried that but i get NAND Write error no matter what...?
I had the same problem a few weeks ago and I just couldn't find an answer so I had to kind of figure it out myself, I'm going to try to help you as much as I can, Well Apparently you have the g925f so go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...p-recovery-2-8-7-1-g925f-android-5-1-t3144866
And download the twrp and flash it with Odin, you should be able to flash it without any problem unlike the firmware, when you're done,* you should be able to enter the recovery mode ( vol up + home + power ) Then try factory reset, And it should boot now, If it does, download this rom ( i recommend it because it's really light and it gets you out of trouble as it did to me )
xtrestolite (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-3-t3119968)
Then flash it with twrp again and everything should be working now
Pd: If for some reason it gets stuck on the setup wizard dont do anything and download the rom from a computer and transfer the file, since you can actually transfer files in the setup wizard. Then install it.

Hi I need help with my s6 edge 64Gb SM-G925F / G925FXXU5EQH6 S/N RF8G60B9LJT from new unlocked but I am on the UK 3 network.
I never messed with my phone, I got an updated in the background and it crashed.
I could not reboot. It crashed during clear cash, restore factory settings and smart switch.
I took it into Samsung store they reset it, but it is still restarting after a short time.
I took it back and they say it was rooted or messed with. yes by a bad update and so out of warranty now by magic.
I have no choice but to root using odin 3.12.7 and 3.12 using sammobile G925FXXU5EQH6 image
it does not work either.
I think the partition table is messed up as I tried ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit and SM-G925F H3G pit from sammobile
Still, no luck getting this to unbrick.
Please help and advice
Kind regards David

You cannot change between csc and home_csc. It's just some firmwares come as 5 separate files. In your case just flash the .md5 firmware through AP in Odin.
Still no luck

If it gets stuck on the 3 logo for a while. Just leave it to boot it can take up to 20 minutes.
Or boot to recovery and wipe data/ cache
If that don't work flash the firmware again along with this pit file

Developers Tip: If you want to flash firmware without wiping your data, make sure there is no pit file selected under the PIT tab in Odin, then extract and remove cache.img.ext4 then repack as a .tar file. Applies to both combo and 4 file firmware packages. In 4 file packages, cache.img.ext4 is in the CSC file. However, in some cases this may put your device in a bootloop.
Cheers!

The simplest way to explain 4 file is in Odin, there are 4 firmware slots. The "4 File .rar package" has the correct file for each slot in Odin to flash. Example, extract the .rar package you (might have) downloaded, and you will see 4 .tar files and the pit file. So the BL_xxx_xxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxx_xxxxxx_HOME.tar file would go in the BL slot in Odin.
Combo is basically all of those files that would be in the 4 .tar archives put into one. If you choose to download this file, the .tar package must be flashed though the AP slot in Odin.
And the .PIT file would go under the PIT tab in Odin.
If you don't want to lose your data while flashing, you can do this:
-Don't use the pit file in Odin
--or--
-If you chose to download the 4 file firmware, don't flash the CSC file and don't use the pit file.
--or--
-if you chose to download the combo firmware, you can use 7zip (I recommend downloading it onto your pc if you don't have it already) to extract the archive and delete cache.img.ext4, then repack the remaining files (Except the pit file) into a new .tar archive.
Cheers!

Open Odin and look to the right of the window, you will see 4 buttons, named "BL" "AP" "CP" and "CSC"
Extract the respective 4 file firmware from the downloaded .rar package to your desktop or downloads folder and open the folder once completed.
From there, you can insert the 4 .tar files into Odin. Once in Odin, click on the BL slot and navigate to the folder that contains the extracted files. Once there, select the tar file with the letters BL at the very beginning, and vice versa.
Example: BL_G850AUCU1BOC6_G850AATT1BOC6_LRX22G_HOME.tar (which is the bootloader files for lollipop firmware) would go under the BL slot in Odin.
Screenshot: https://mega.nz/#!2pZlGboI!M5YA2RGn0ufZ_bdVIFg6AD3xIH3iHg00JrAgHoo0OP8
If you downloaded the combo (all in one) firmware package, extract everything in the .rar file and place the .tar package under the AP slot in Odin, and if you want to perform a clean reset, make sure the .PIT file is under the PIT tab then PIT slot in Odin and make sure that "NAND Erase All" and "Re-Partition" is checked under the 'Options' tab.

Try booting your phone into download mode then reflash the Lollipop bootloader in Odin (BL File goes under the BL slot for 4 file). If you are not wanting to wipe your data, and if you downloaded the 4 file firmware, you can simply reflash the lollipop bootloader files then afterwards go back into download mode then reflash the AP and CP file. The actual bootloader in the phone does allow the flashing of different firmware versions for the device so it sounds like a small bootloader issue.

First time with kitkat I left it all night and it didnt end.
I have disconnected the phone in the morning and not started, then I installed the bootloader (of lolipop) alone and it is doing well.

You also said that Odin was stuck on something during flash. Do you know what file was it stuck on (What file it said at the top left-hand corner of the Odin window)?

Try a different usb port on your computer, and if the same thing happens, try a different usb cable or switch the ports again.
No roots available still for g850a?There are other sites showing a root method
Is it possible to root if the g850a is flashed back to kit kat? has any one tried to flash the TWRP recovery available on their website for the slte? is that only for the exynos version? and possible try rooting throgh there?

The G850A Has a locked bootloader, therefore, cannot run TWRP or any custom kernel or recovery.
Cheers!
i have samsung s6 edge 925F model, mistakenly i wipe the system, cache, delvik, internal storage of my phone in TWRP..

I did that, it flashes in about 10 sec and success but again loads into TWRP recovery mode directly, i dont understand how hidden.img can be equal to a complete custom rom, my phone is completely empty, nothing in it, i have accidently removed everything.
Plz help
