Hello everyone,
For several months I've been following the posts here in the forum and had always the impression that here useful
Information can be found. But with my smartphones I did'nt come further on. I'm just not sure because I
previously had a simple and untapped mobile. Android is also new to me, such as the operation of the devices.
On top of that I have no idea what in fact the devices are and how I could find out. For this it seems to me, must be
the first important step eg to connect the phone to the PC. - Clear that I need a drive, but what kind of?
What I tried so far, unfortunately, failed.
I received both devices as a gift and in both cases it is a Samsung Galaxy - Clone, that were purchased in China.
What I have noticed so far, is the constant change of the MAC - addresses, which always attracts new IP addresses to itself.
The latter I have to delete every few days in the home network overview of my router, which is quite annoying.
I would like to change this, but I read that root privileges are needed for.
I know now that therefore apps are existing and also that they can not be used with any device.
Also, I think I can remember that the smartphone must be connected for this purpose via USB, which in turn requires drivers
the need to adapt. My PC recognizes the smartphones currently not at all, so I would be grateful for any help.
Perhaps someone here knows, which devices it could be, what drivers are to use and how I can get root privileges.
The only information that I can do to the equipment, are those that can be read directly on the device, because to packaging really
everything seems like Samsung - made originals. Therefore, here are a few information that may be useful perhaps:
1. Samsung Galaxy S4 clone (GT i9500)
Over the phone:
- Model Number: GT-I9500
- Android Version: 4.4.4

2. Samsung Galaxy S5 Clone (SM-G900)
Over the phone:
- Model Number: SM - G900

- Baseband - Version: G900ZCUBMI3

So I hope that I' m half right at this point in the forum.

Hello,
Recently I bought a Kogan 8" Tablet. I have found it quite fun to use but I am still lacking many freedoms that I have on my phone.
I have Google'd around for quite some time hoping that someone else will create a thread for this device but that still hasn't happened, so I thought I would do it.
I'm currently looking for a way to root the device and I guess without asking I have more chances of getting a brick (an experience I had with my Samsung Galaxy S2, RIP).

If any more information is required, just ask, please remember I am very new to this and may need help getting more advanced items.
Shameless revival of old thread.

I am looking to root my UK Galaxy S2 with the best backup/recovery options included;
Code:
Model number GT-l9100
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version l9100XXMS
Kernel Version: 3.0.31 – 1211311 [email protected] #3. SMP PREEMPT Thu May 16 10:05:20. KST 2013
Build number JZO54K.l9100XWLSW)
From a few days worth of reading it seems as if the best option is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877270 (PhilZ-cwm6 - Safe Stock Based Kernel Featuring PhilZ Touch 6
(Enhanced CWM v6.x, now with exFat+ext4+NTFS support)
The part I would like someone to confirm for me if possible is that the correct file to do this for my specific phone/kernel/etc would be the PhilZ-cwm6-XWLSW-XEU-5.06.1-signed.zip found here http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=17703#files
I believe it to be that based on the "LSW" in the build number - have I deduced this correctly..?
Thought it would be best to try to get it confirmed as most of the guides refer to the kernel code (XWLPX-NEE in that example) not `build number` when they talk about it. Still picking my way through the terminology.
Correct.
It is sufficient that flash the root for your build, nothing more. However i think it is correct
I just recently purchased my first android device, the HOTT T725-1-8G. I am aware this is a cheaper tablet but I am looking to root this device. I have tried king and kingoroot without any success. I have worn out the search bar on these forums and google in general. Could anyone help me out a little bit? I have posted information on the device below.
Android Version: 4.4.2
Firmware Version: 2.0_20140426
Kernel Version: 3.4.39

Build Number: A23_D70_D708C_1405009.20140611
Thanks in advance!
Bump. Is it even possible to root this device?

Hello experts,
I've a 'pleasure' to use Kiano Pro 7 Dual tablet. Since there's no support from manufacturer side, I'd like to update my device on my own.
I've gone through many topics on this forum but I didn't find any information regarding this particular tablet. There're only some information about Kiano Pro 10 Dual and I'm not sure how information about that model are relevant to my device.
First of all, I'll try to summarize all collected information:
- Before I'll proceed to upgrading, I should do a backup of my device. Unfortunately, I've no idea how to do that. I've tried to use app like ROM Manager but my device isn't supported. I've found this site: (sorry I cannot post any URLs yet) but both images (Kiano PRO 10 DUAL (SN:11461+) and Kiano PRO 10 DUAL (SN:-11460)) aren't valid.
- The only way to update my device is to install custom ROM prepared by Oma. The last one that is compliant with my tablet is CM10.1 which has support for kernel 3.0.8. This rom can be found here: (sorry I cannot post any URLs yet)
Now my questions:
- Do you think that ROM prepared by Oma will be valid for my device?
- Is there any other way in which I'd do a backup of my device?
- To be honest the procedure of upgrading isn't straightforward. There's so many files on Oma's website. Can someone advice my which files I should use?
- I suppose that kernel file which I have to use later on should be retrieved from my backup image. Am I right?
Here is more detailed info about my device:
Model number: rk30sdk
Android version: 4.1.1
Kernel: 3.0.8+, [email protected] #42, SMP PREEMPT Wed Dec 26 12:09 12 CST 2012

Build number: RK30_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.00, rk30sdk-eng-4.1.1 JRO03H 20121113.110203 release-keys
I'd appreciate your help! Thanks in advance.
Just one more try in order to reach wider audience.
Hi,
I own a ulefone armor 8 phone to use and configure IoT devices. Unfortunately the bluetooth connection between the phone and the devices is unstable i.e. some functions do not work and when trying to upload a new firmware the connection breaks down completely. I tried to change the avrcp version without success additionaly cant change turn off a2dp harware offload option.
I don't know if this would help but I'm asking for your help because at the moment the phone is useless.
On other phones(samsung s20, xiaomi mi10, samsung j5 and others) everything works. Is it the fault of the phone's crappy software or is there a solution?
