I already had a custom rom and i wanted to install another one and i managed to do that and everything was working but then i saw that i needed jb bootlader/recovery from autorec and i installed autorec and accidentaly pressed to get the stock recovery and stupidly of me then i pressed the custom recovery option thinking that would fix it and when i tryed to rebot i got stuck at lg logo and after some second vertical lines would appear and some other miner graphical glitches and in the end black screen i can go into recovery i have the twrp 2.8.6.1. i also tryed to wipe all and instal the rom again but the same thing happens i also had some old backup but same thing happens again i even tryed flashing the twrp recovery again and same thing i can also go into download mode. Those vertical lines dont stay it isnt a hardware problem screen is okey in recovery so maybe a problem in fastboot or something i dont know much about this i just do some custom rom installing from time to time. Thank you for all your help and answers !!

Just got a P350 the other day to mess with, rooted it in seconds with Gingerbreak.apk. Installed ROM Manager (P350 & ROM Manager do not mix) and installed wrong custom recovery like a nooby and ended up with 4 flashing lights and stuck on boot screen,
I could still boot into fastboot and into emergency. I could also get the phone to communicate with my laptop through fastboot. (I did have to mess with the driver as far as I can remember) You can check by going into device manager and checking.
I then decided to run:
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
,
Well that got rid of being stuck at the boot screen. but it still wouldn't boot up, it was now stuck with a black screen with fastboot and something else underneath on the screen. But it was still reconised by my laptop as an Android ADB device, so fastboot still worked. I could also still get into emergency mode as well, but didn't need to go there.
I then decided to run:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-pecan-2.2.1-GNM-drap.img
the one I should of flashed in the first place.
rebooted and all was fine, with custom recovery working fine aswell. All is good again. I then did a Nandroid back up
I've included a link to 1 of my 4shared folders with the ROM's mentioned, the Custom Recovery, a theme file and KDZ.
http://www.4shared.com/folder/8EQ_Fbzw/LG_Optimus_ME_P350.html
I then flashed Pecamod_V.5.zip then changed to Pecamod_#Metapod.zip, I then wanted a black status bar so I flashed Hmdll_green_shine_3.zip over it. The UI looks great now, but it is awfully slow.
I'm thinking of trying either #Wartortie.zip or me_mod.zip. I'm strugling to find any more Custom ROM's, any sugestions welcome
Has anyone found any other ROM's and if yes what are they like?? If not can anyone suggest any different ROM's to try?
What are you using???
--------------------------------------------------
One more thing, is anyone working on a custom 2.3 Gingerbread ROM ??
Thanks Marc
DOWNLOAD -- ROM's Recovery, KDZ, theme, Gingerbreak_v1.2.apk -- LG Optimus ME P350
Once youve got it sorted download Terminal from the Android Market, and to boot into recovery, open Terminal an run:
su
reboot recovery
Then do a Nandroid back up

My phone : LG Optimus Me P350
hey.. solved.. fastboot commands worked just fine in sudo mode !
how'd you do that?
Hey over there!
Jaypanda, what did you do to enter the fastboot commands?
I just wanted to make a recovery backup with ROM manager, but my P350 restarted while doing that...
Now i've the same problem as you described in your first thread: it stucks on LG logo, flashing lights on the 4 buttons, can't get in recovery mode (HOME+VOL DOWN+POWER), gave up the plug-in and -off trick i've read in some forums after more than 30 tries, my computer doesn't recognize it!
Please help me.
Thanks in regard!
any one got the custom ROM`s for this ??
As I was flashing the rom my laptop **** down and now the phone is stuck in what looks to be fastboot. How do I go back to flashing again?

Okay about a month ago I root my gf evo 3d , she has hboot 1.5 so I followed the steps on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821.
Everything has been working fine up until about a week ago , her phone started running hot and the battery would drain really quick with barely any usage. So my plan was to do a factory restart and full wipe and reinstall the rom fresh but when I tried to get into recovery the phone just shuts off , then goes to the boot screen then after the boot screen the phone just restarts itself. I even tried to do a factory reset from the phones menu options and the same things happens. The ways I tried getting into recovery are by using the shutdown menu options (hold power , reboot , recovery) , I've also tried rom manager and last I tried getting to recovery from bootloader and nothing seems to work.
I am completely lost PLEASE! HELP!

You should reflash your recovery to TWRP using fastboot. Then boot into recovery using fastboot. From there you should be able to do a complete wipe and flash a ROM. It is outlined in the thread you linked OP and second post. Feel free to come into the d3rp q+a thread in my sig if you need more help.
It worked thanks you

As a heads up to some of the inner workings.
All the methods you listed are correct methods of booting into the recovery. ROM Manager selecting boot recovery, booting into the bootloader and selecting recovery and also adb shell, reboot recovery.
The boot order goes: bootloader -> kernel -> recovery. Once you see the HTC screen or whatever custom splash screen is loaded, you know the device is now booting the kernel. At this point, if the device hangs on the splash screen or reboots again to the splash screen, something is wrong with the kernel "recovery" itself.
If you get this rebooting to splash screen or hanging on splash screen two or three times in a row, that should be sufficient to know, you have correctly booted the device into recovery mode and the next step is to reflash the recovery, essentially reloading it.
We can speculate on how/why the recovery became corrupt on your device, but in the end, these things sometimes just happen to no intentional fault of the user.
Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, hopefully this extra information will help prevent a bit of frustration the next time around!

So you mean, stuck at the splash screen(HTC with white screen) and reboot again and again is because of the recovery destroyed? My phone stuck at the splash screen for about 10 seconds and then reboot again and again. I have tried to flash many recovery images, includeing twrp 1.0.3, twrp 1.1.1, cwm-1.0.4, cwm-1.0.5, cwm-5.0.2, all failed to boot up into recovery:-(
Thanks in advance!
okay its an android otimus V , i rooted it a couple days ago, then i tried to install a rom via rom manager, didnt make back up, now when it restarted, the lg screen shows, then it starts to do the roms bootup and its this little animation but during this animation it freezes and thats as far as it will go. also i cant start up recovery with the vol up-home-power, the lg screen flashes, then it goes black, then has the black light up and it just stays like that for hours until i take out the battery, is there anyway to fix my phone!!
have you tried flash via kdz ?
That's how I solve my bricked problem.
In your case I suspect that you don't have any rom, it's like one PC without OS.

i dont know how to do that and i cant seem to find a guide for my phone
Hey guys, im panicking like mad
Basically my xperia go (lotus) is stuck in a bootloop, Sony Logo > Cyanogenmod arrow and flying thingy logo > Sony Logo > Cyanogenmod..... and so on
My phone updated to android 4.0.1 ish, basically android 4 and became very slow
so i decided to change it to Cyanogenmod 9.1 (FreeXperia Project)
I rooted it, put CWM on it, went into recovery by holding down power down on sony logo, wiped cache and devin and something else, factory reset my phone basically and installed FXP213-cm-9-20130329-UNOFFICIAL-lotus on it
I faced a Status 7 problem while installing so i looked up how to get past it and deleted getprop lines from updater script
The phone finally updated, took about 10 seconds and it said the zip files was.. installed? or flashed? im not familiar with phone terms
basically it did what it was supposed to do, then i installed Gapps straight after without rebooting or anything, then after it was done i clicked reboot, my phone turned off and wouldnt turn on no matter what, if i held the power button, it vibrated once but nothing happened no light, no led, no screen
then i decided to go on flash tool and flash if thats the right term this file: ST27i_6.1.1.B.1.10_Kernel
after this my phone turned on, the logo came on, then followed the cyanogenmod logo , after that the phone turned off and thats how the loop started
i panicked and flashed this file: ST27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_CE.ftf
this didnt do anything and my phone is still in a bootloop
Please help
Btw im really sorry, i am not very experienced with phone softwares, just computers, so not really sure what terms like kernel and flashing and rooting are, please explain stuff to me like youre speaking to a toddler:/
Thankyou in advance!
try cwm

Hello, did u try to flash a kernel with cwm reco.. and after it, in cwm format system/data/cache/dalvik/.. and install from the cwm an other cust.. rom wich is is installing without any error ?
.. I will try it tomorow because i fuc*ed my phone via the speedy droid.. I took the boot.img to the FXP213...rom.zip and now im at black screen, with an unlocked bootloader.. but first i must to find drivers to my st27i to fastboot mode, because i reinstalled my pc, and no drivers -.-
Haven't found the need to try a custom ROM myself but I don't read anywhere in your post if you've unlocked the bootloader. Maybe that's it? Maybe not. If it's still locked you could probably try repairing via SEUS.
Tapped on a not-so-stock ST27i ICS.
news ?
any news ?
You will be able to repair with SEUS. Just keep swapping USB ports and trying again and again. It will work eventually. :good:
Usually this happens because the instructions aren't followed properly. ie "you must wipe dalvik cache" or similar. Read carefully.
(this all happend 3 years ago and im asking now as i need a backup phone )
i flashed twrp and pixel experience well dum me clicked reset in pixel experience settings then it bootlooped into twrp for eternity now dum 2019 me thought that wiping twrp from fastboot would force it to boot into the system well it didnt work and even now whatever i try it does not boot (it just vibrates but will not boot i tried all combinations possible and also tried the miraclebox guide which didnt work)

Try first charging the battery and installing the stock ROM (the latest) through SP Flash tool.

Well, this is the whole idea to flash a stock ROM, if it is an issue at software level it has to solve it. Check carefully some things that could help to diagnose the brick level, like device is vibrating, device can boot till bootanimation, logo is showing some letters and so on.

Try flashing the firmware and see what happens, and if, which modes are available for you, fastboot, recovery.
