I am wondering how to control the BitKinex program that exists on my PC from my android. I am not looking to transfer files to my phone but to transfer files from a remote server - on to my PC - using my FTP client (BitKinex) - from my Android.
I have BitKinex setup to do this on my PC and it works great but I am wondering if I can do this from my Android device.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for an app (and probable a windows programm) to share files from my PC to my smartphone. Connected to my laptop is a usb-external drive with 500GB. I like to access those files on my android, but dont want to use WLAN.
Is there a windows program which basically shares those files to my smartphone via usb?
In the end I whould like to see all files of the external drive on my smartphone.
with best regards
Neiko
I have an android device with USB port. When i connect a USB drive to this port, I am able to access all the contents of the drive from my device.
Now I installed an FTP server app(actually tried a lot of them). With this ftp server app running on my android device as server, I try to browse the contents from my PC using FileZilla. I am able to browse sd-card of phone and even write on that using FileZIlla but I am only able to brose this usb drive and not able to write on it from any ftp client.
I have tried a lot of ftp server apps on android and few client app on my PC but all same to give me only read only access to the USB drive and not write access.
Is it even possible to get the write access to this usb drive connected to android device via ftp client(when my android is running ftp server)?
I am currently using adownloader.. but i am searching for downloader which allows you to add/queue files remotely from another android device or a windows pc.... is there such bittotrrent client? via a webgui would be the most feasible solution imo
Currently the only options for OSX file management of an android device are:
Android File Transfer
Some form of web tool
Manual ADB
Google File Transfer is terrible, but I want to transfer files to my device when its wired to the computer. Why is there not a better solution?

What exactly are you asking ? .. Please elaborate ... The USB mass transfer protocol itself is better for transferring file from/to pc/android ... if that's what you're looking for..
Hi,
i recently bought a fire tv stick and while looking forward to use it I just wanted to test kodi.tv
So i installed the Kodi Windows Center and the app on my Android 4.4.4.
I did go trough step by step like it's said on Kodi.wiki
But my phone does not recognize the server, just a blank window.
Any ideas what may be wrong?
- Kodi's allowed in windows firewall.
- All permissions are allowed via xprivacy.
- Same network
- library is set
