How can i install the apk files?
I cp them to my sd card, but their size is zero byte, can't be installed or read profile....
Who can help me?
Best off asking in the android section
if they are 0byte then the files do not appear to have been copied to the device correctly, how are you transferring them?
Hi,
I transfer .apk files from phone to sd card thru Astro. But after that when I tried to execute the files.. It gives me the parsing error ...
Experimented several times and always same result...
Any idea ? Is it andriod limitation or Astro problem ?
Regards..

Hmm ... which apk files have you moved?
Have you moved apk files of not installed apps or already installed apps?
And have you tried to move them by using another app, such as ES Datei Explorer (for not installed apps) or Titanium Backup (for installed apps) form the Market, or the build-in Data explorer (for not installed), or Settings menu => Applications => Manage applications => ... (find your apps) => Move to external sd card (for installed apps)?
If you have not installed an app, you can move the application installation package (apk file) everywhere by using a file browser/manager/explorer app.
But if you have already installed an app, you should not move the apk file as long as you want to use the installed app. Some apps support to be moved to the external sd card, and some don't. The easiest way to find out is to open Settings menu => Applications => Manage applications and have a look at the apps. if you can select the action to move to the external sd card, then the app supports to be moved. Otherwise not.
Good luck !
I transfered the uninstalled .apk files from internal phone storage to sd card and I also used es file explorer and the internal explorer as well...
And one more thing...
If I transfer the folder that contain files then files remain ok... But if I transfer multiple files simultaneously then parsing error showed up upon execution of those files..
Even i have the same issue.... any suggestions?
parsing error
Me too this is driving me crazy more than half of the apk files I put on my 32 GB SD card give me the parsing error:confused
hi all have deleted obb file on jellybean how can i get it back, many thanks
Hello all i have problem when i want to send a game to my friend. he has Samsung Galaxy Mini 2, i've copy the data files and the apk files, then when i'm open AL File Explorer i can't find my game files and finally i find it on the sdcard/ExternalSdCard, it's make me foled there a SdCard On SdCard, it's not like my phone (Walkman W8) when i open File Explorer it's going to sdcard/ and i can find my files.
So does it's will work if i place the game data to the Sdcard, Ex: sdcard/ExternalCard/Android/com.blabla
hello everyone,
i know the easiest way is to download apk/obb files and save it to pc or external storage but is there another sure efficient way to backup game files instead of redownloding them every time we flash a new rom?
If you do as you say, and save the apk and obb file onto external storage (like the micro sd card slot you have built-in) you could just copy the obb files back to the internal storage and use something like titanium backup (also backed up to the sd-card) to restore the apk with all your saves on the ROM.
Perhaps the app "Migrate" from BaltiApps in the play store could do it in one go?

Root. Then install titanium back up pro..
I, too, had that kind of game.
SF IV Ce.. bought the game.. then told me to download additional 2.5gb of file data.. or so.
Thought there was an obb or some sort of data.. but there was none. Instead.. there is .. if you use root explorer then browse to data/data/..
So whenever i flashed a new rom. I need to re download the whole 2.5 gb data. And thats when i thought if it can be backed up by the TB... AND rest my case.. it worked.. fast and easy..

And when you're using TB PRO.
THERE'S an option to just restore all apps and its data at once. Sit back and wait for it to.finish.. just make sure that what you're about to restore are all installed files only and not the data of your system files..
Oh.. and.for data with the likes of NFS MW & REAL RACING 3. where there could be thousand files that are about 20-300Kb file sizes.. that could take about an hour if you copy paste it to another storage. So.to make it easier to copy/paste... I highly suggest you zip the whole nfs folder or even rear racing 3 data foler. Then copy the zipped file somewhere else.. its easier to.copy a single 2 or 3 gb data file than copying thousands of 300kb data files.. ehehehehe.. just unzip.it again in android / data folder when you're done restoring your rom

Check out Migrate. It's free and works through twrp. I haven't tried it myself for games, but it works flawlessly for normal apps, so if your game is not using obb, I'd think Migrate would work just fine.
