Why - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Please Port MIUI 6 for MOTO E XT1022
There are number of users waiting for MIUI 6 on moto e.
Meany ROM's develop for our moto e bt miui is not why we love this ROM plz developer build miui for our moto..:crying::crying::crying::crying:

As MIUI is not open source just like Sense, Touchwiz etc. I don't think it would be worth the effort to port this as there would be considerable amount of bugs present and won't be that stable.
And as Mi devices don't cost much and are easily available I guess its better to get them if you love MIUI, rather than using an unstable ROM.

the devs are making roms that he find good (i dont like it,sorry), maybe no one love this rom and thats the fault, but its user opinion.

thanks
thanks for replying ....
i love miui rom bt not possible so sad:crying: thanks..

There's an MiUi theme for the CyanogenMod theme engine. Give it a try.

Can I build MIUI ROM for "condor" using this source code ?

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and "repo sync" is working fine but internet connection is not good .The source code is very large , it takes too much time. What is the approximate size of the MIUI source code ?

I've asked this question and I've seen this question asked by others and the answer always used to be "use any aosp port , aokp or cyanogenmod". Never really understood why we can't build a clean untouched aosp Rom . Can somebody answer this, please?

Thanks

If there were an AOSP rom for another xperia phone it would be easier
I think many people would like a clean aosp rom, but nobody's got time to make this full port working, because porting from another manufactor is hard...
So just use cyanogenmod :good:

I am not talking about porting from another manufacturer. How about building from source? include our device in the lunch menu? device specific files, boardconfig files etcetera.....
i don't know if this is possible and i don't have prior knowledge in building from source but if directed in the right direction i will try my level best...I grasp things quickly (at least that's what they say bout me )

I think building from source for our devices is hard, because sony hasn't released the binaries and some libs, so how should we port? There are several really annoying problems...

Is there no Legitimate Android 4.4 Rom for us?
I'm a Noob to android rooting and flashing, and have been trying to find a rom which would help me move to android 4.4 rather than just editing the buildprop file. My primary reason for doing this to run incompatible apps and use the MiBand as a wearable notifier. Anybody has any suggestion? I would really appreciate some help from people who are far more experienced in the field

SG3 and PAC-ROM, Those were the days. Looking forward to this ROM.
It feels really smooth, but has no features to speak of (other than regular cm features), also what is this Smartly.Me app? All it does is redirect me to an app on the playstore.

Thank you for the ROM.
Unfortunately, it seems to suffer from the same Quick Settings bug as other CM based ROM's. You cannot add more than four broadcast tiles using something like the Custom Quick Settings app.

Is somebody working on cm11?

Hey, is it possible or is somebody working on porting cm11 for our phone? I read that sfdroid (Android Emulator for sailfishos) will work if we have cm11 as a based Rom and because I (and I think lots of more sailfish using people) are missing the Android compatibility in Sailfishos.

Believe me, KK doesn't really run better than LP / MM. I had it for months, then I used a LP ROM for a few weeks, and LP was much smoother.
Who knows!!
May be i would have loved one , but it seems there wont be any kitkat rom for X .
Its just a thought but it could stretch our battery to the fullest.
