Jelly Bean PlayMusic v.4.3.605

Google introduced a new version of Google Play Music with Jelly Bean (Android 4.1), but restricted its availability to Android 4 (ICS). Users of android 2.2 and 2.3 were left out of the update. The restriction was made deliberately by Google by putting the target sdk version as 14 which is ICS, though the minimum was 8.
A developer at XDA decompiled the app, spotted the sign and then, added 8 as the sdk version. The app was then recompiled and then, he uploaded it for everyone to download and install the app (cheers!). The installation is simple, just install it like a normal apk file.
Screenshots are from my Device:Its fully working.

Where can I find AOSP apps?

Hello,
Android is open source project. I am searching for a while, but I could not find any core apps of android.
For example:
1- where can I found AOSP launcher?
2- where can I found the AOSP calendar app ? (for example someone on google play has build the core text message app of android: h t t p s : / / p l a y . g o o g l e . c o m /store/apps/details?id=fr.slvn.mms )
3- some of packages are including on opengapps ( h t t p s : / / g i t h u b . c o m / opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Package-Comparison ) but I don't want to install the "google calendar" but the "calendar" because I don't trust google for privacy reasons. (for example google chrome vs chromium)
4- Is where any build of Chromium (not google chrome please)?
Why no one from the community did not update all of basic apps on google play and f-droid? So we can use them always updated.
Thanks in advance
Please someone can help me :/
They are all contained in the Android stock source that you can download from Google. The main reason most don't bother with those apps is that no one really works on them. Google no longer evens updates them. They put all their work into their closed sourced replacements.

First Thank you for your answer.
I could nto get the point of the updates... Android still getting updates. That means google's core apps (launcher vs) getting updates too.
Also chrome is still updating. That means Chromium is updating too.
Should I open this thread on cyanogen or other ROM's thread? :crying:

[Q] Add link /symlink to Home Screen

Hello there.
I'm developing a custom rom and I want to add a link to my website on the Homescreen / Launcher (so users will be able to check infos and updates about the rom)
1st Method: chrome
I searched on google "how to add an .html file on Android launcher /home screen" and every website I consulted just adviced me to download Chrome and use it to add bookmarks on the home screen.
The problem is that I'm making an Android 2.3 rom and I'm working on a device with limited storage, I don't want to download and install Chrome just to make a link...
2nd Method: apk with webview
I know how to develop a simple app in Android Studio that just uses a webview to display my website, but I don't want to use this method too because Android 2.3 webview is obsolete and I included a modern and lightweight browser in my rom. A whole apk to just open a webpage would be wasted
3rd Method: ?
I believe there's a way to put links to any file on the homescreen! Especially if the rom (pre)rooted like mine. Can you tell me how to do this, please?
Thanks in advance
