I'm having issues with my rooted phone. I'd like to bring it back to stock with the 1.22.651.3 RUU program. I've found one link on the forum but after 3 multiple hour downloads, it won't save successfully. I did OTA to get to this version. Then hard rooted phone. I've tried to go to teh 1.22.651.1/2 codes but it wont let me. Even after swapping to different code ROM's.
If someone has the ability to share it, it would be greatly appreciated.
I ended up paying the 5 bucks for 24 hours of use. The file worked great. If someone can recommend a better file sharing site that is free, i'll be happy to upload it. file factory's free service is really slow.
I had the same problem as you. Ended up paying 5 bucks to download it maybe 30 minutes faster. Still took over two hours.
I'm uploading it to my server now. It's not blazing fast, but it's faster than file factory.

any chance can post an MD5 for the file? could be a life saver for those looking to use it, especially given the size of the download.

People can compare it against the md5 from the file they downloaded from you to make sure they don't have a bad download. If the hashes match, good file. If not, may be corrupted and either cause issues or not work at all.
One of the gents over at sdx was kind enough to compile a list of all the common files for the Transform and their md5 hashes so you can always make sure you've got good files.

Greetings. NO, there is no download to the OTA ICS update yet.
However, this is a quick thread I'm throwing out there to see if anybody else is currently working on this. Someone, perhaps, with more experience working with OTA updates.
I'm currently downloading the last Stock rooted rom, which should then recieve the OTA notification.
My plan is then to set up a logcat to output to file, have the back cover off, and when I see the download complete, pull battery USB and boot back to recovery, where I should then hopefully be able to pull the new OTA.
While I'm waiting for the download, I'd just like to make sure I'm not wasting my time.
Also, it would be nice to see if anybody else thinks this is a good method, or if I'm a total idiot.
Got about 20 left before I can go, so comments would be greatly appreciated.
Can't you just use a file manager once the download is complete and copy it to your computer? I thought it saves to your "download" folder..don't think you need to do the battery pull and all that
Pretty sure all you need to do is download the update, and before you click on install, just mount your sdcard to your PC and copy the update. It's that easy.

Well, this download for stock is taking forever. Anybody running a stock rom can try this?
once u get it are you going to root/busybox/deodex?
PG86IMG Complete zip?
so hboot, radios, update, etc? or maybe one with removed HBOOT?
If i knew what i was doing i would lol
Works fine. Just plug it into a computer once you're finished downloading, navigate to the download folder, and copy the ota zip to your computer if you want to mess with it. (Or use a file manager on your phone to copy it to a different location)
I will attempt to restore stock rom and download OTA for your use.

Maaaaaaybe. Although TBH, that can be accomplished using kitchen and 10 minutes. My primary desire for it is because I support MIUI, and our version is currently based on ShooterU. Having OG Sprint stuff would help us greatly to implement wimax.
I've already gone back to a stock un rooted, downloaded the update , cancelled the install, extracted it to take a look. I could upload it to my dropbox if you want?

I've been looking and still am looking for where to get nvflash from. it seems like the nvidia forums are still down, and even though I've been able to flash my tablet's loader thanks to this awesome guide ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774386 ) I can't read the device because the version I was able to find isn't the ICS one (or at least that's what I think).
if anybody got the files or know where to get the ICS version... thanks in advance for posting.

No mirror fownload is available.
They always say everything you need is there but step 3 of the guide tells you to get nvflash binary from nvida who has that area of their site taken down.

Yes I did and already downloaded the RUU there.
Unfortunately they only have the 1.22.651.1 (2nd release) which I'm already running.
The original GB release was 1.18.651.1.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I know somebody out there has the RUU sitting on their drive, but this forum gets so viewers now it is hard to reach the right person.
I've searched, but can't seem to find anything. Sorry for not being much help over here.
But just out of curiosity, why do you need the original RUU?

I think I have obtained the RUU that you're looking for, but it was on some Chinese website, and you had to register in order to download. I lost the link, but I successfully downloaded the RUU. Where do you think I can upload to; DropBox keeps failing?

Hey,
I am about to get a new Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 64gb tomorrow and I'm already checking how to root the tablet and get all the Gapps up and running.
Unfortunately there are still a few things which are a little bit confusing for me at the moment:
1. Which is the best way to make sure that the Kindle Fire does not install an OTA update on its own? I mean it can not be the solution to keep the tablet in airplane mode all the time, that is ridiculous! I read about several ways to block OTA updates, installing a firewall, changing a value in the build.prop or renaming a certain file in den /system/ folder. Which way has to be proven to be the best way?
2. After gaining root I will install Safestrap and flash the official Amazon Rom to a slot. Is there a size for the Rom partition which is recommended? I have seen Safestrap now supports up to 16gb.
3. After booting the Amazon Rom from a Safestrap slot, can you do an OTA update or will this affect the whole system?
4. Can someone please point me to the correct and latest version Gapps for the 8.9" model (Apollo)?
I'm pretty sure I will come up with more questions tomorrow, but that's for now!
Thanks for your help ...

Once you complete the process to make dual-system (both Gapps and Amazon) the HDXposed module will block updates.

It seems to be known the Xposed mod doesn't block updates. If you want the tab for the specs but also as close as possible to a stock android experience. I would recommend how I did it with SS on both stock and rom slot, airplane moding the stock slot and never going back there unless necessary. Also try to rename the files and if possible try to mod the build if you think fit.
Just my 0.02.

Same as kschang with same version of Google+ (latest version). HDX 7 with 13.3.1.0 firmware. It's run fine with Cpasjuste's ROMs (both the Thor Gapps and the AOSP ROMs) as well as stock ROM with Cpastjuste's Gapps zip installer.
Hi
I've also got HDX 8.9 14.3.1.0 Apollo. How did you get supersu installed?
I've got the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip
The author recommends installing through Google Play.
But if I turn off airplane mode I'll get updated, so I can't do that.
Other option is to install supersu through CWM, TWRP or MobilOdin.
But they also require Google Play to install.
