This thread is supposed to look for ideas and find people, who are interested in a CM 12.1 project for the LG L7 II. I'm sure I'm not the only one here, who would make it, so here we could talk about this project. Yes, the performance is not the best, but we could make it ready for daily use. Our "ancestor" device LG L7 has CM 12.1 too, so I thought, why doesn't our device have it?
Together we could make it usable(those, who want to work with me).
Every help with this project is appreciated
Edit: @neutrondev
Do you still have the sources of the lollipop rom you made to boot? It would be very helpful. If not then it's okay
I notice that none writes on this thread... But I think that cm 12.1 will be terrible on our phone. Cm 11 is slow, we know, cm 12 could be interesting to try a couple of hour but not for daily use. This is my opinion and I open the discussion . I want to try lollipop on my l7ii but I have no knowledge on building and I understand that it won't work well in any case.
Sorry for my bad English
Device:
LG l7 2 p710 ROM CyanogenMod 10.2 (4.3.1 )
LG l3 e 400 ROM optimus 1.5 (4.0.4)
Samsung galaxy tab 4 8.0 ROM stock (4.4.2)
First of all, stock kitkat isn't that bad if you remove all bloatware and install greenify.
Just sayn.
Ps: Using cm 10.2 on lg p710 at the moment for more freedom to make the phone look like mine.
Andreas
It's theoretically available to build CM 12 for our L7-ll. But first of all it will be a bit more laggy than CM 11,and secondly - the main problem - it will be hungry about battery. Neutrondev is leaving LG L as he wrote in topic about his CM 11,so let's wait if Weritos will do smth about 12'1.
Well I deleted all sources of CM12.1. Cm12 is not straight forward you need to update our kernel's msm fb, ion and kgsl from CAF. Performance is not worth it so I quit all work. I am leaving the scene of L Series very soon. Sorry.

Very bad idea because:
Too high battery Drain for L7ii, maybe 3 Hours Screen on Time
The ART needs much storage, for example Chrome Beta needs 110 MB
Too less CPU Power: Animations are not smooth, many UI Laggs
You must Port ACDB System (very hard)
LPA decode is bad with CM 12.1
New Low Latency Player does not support this very old chipset
CyanogenMod 12 for lg l7x
CyanogenMod 12 will run perfect to lg lg l7ii L7X or as the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo already has CyanogenMod 12.1 and that the terminal has a 800 MHz processor and 512 of RAM
I CM12 think would be very good for our terminal

I believe it's not as simple as comparing megahertz and megabytes. Besides, there's no one to maintain the device since neutrondev left the scene a while back. His CM 10.2 is perfect for single sim L7 IIs. There are CM 11 roms around the development sections even though they have their bugs as well. This is as far as this device goes. It's not that popular anyway. I myself am thinking of selling my P710 and buying something better.
Huawei Y300,based on Qualcomm MSM8225 and equipped with ROM 4GB and RAM 512MB has not only CyanogenMod 12.1 but even CyanogenMod 13. So,the main problem is - nobody to compile ROM.
hey @weritos i think u can be useful for this... i really want cm12 on our lg p715 and i hope that u can do it. i love ur cm11 roms, specially pac-man.

Hello. I've been sitting for a longer time on official Cyanogenmod for my L9 (p760), however the last version of it has broken GPS and almost all of my submitted reports in JIRA are being ignored for half a year already.
So I decided to give a shot to other alternatives and was quite surprised how many projects actually are there.
Can somebody please sum up the best choices or just simply tell me which one is the best, if I simply want a bug free 4.4.2 Android running on my L9, without GPS problems and no significant battery drain. Testing out all of them will be too much time consuming affair.
Thanks in advance.

I wonder can I successfully install over any CM-based roms you guys suggested over my current 10.2.1 ROM, so I don't have to backup, reinstall and reconfigure anything again? Just like updating CM the usual way.

Just tried out, through custom recovery it works out, I had all my apps and settings saved, however Kitkat roms also have the same issue of gps not working for me :/
Any Kitkat supporting 5ghz Wifi?
Out of everything Ive tried out there, on an LG p768g, Resurrection remix is dabes.
I messed around with Mokee and AOSB Project - The End of The Line, I would love to use them but both had fatal bugs on my phone that wouldn't allow me to use them for everyday use as I need.
Just do a nandroid backup, and install ROMs, basically the best way to see what fits your needs, remember you have a nearly unbrickable phone
For me RR the best rom.

Just wondering if CyanogenMod 12 will work on my phone? I don't even know what to do my phone, just brought it from 29 november 2014. Looked up at internet, and no good tutorials to find and need root to flash cyanogenmod 12. The model is Samsung Galaxy V (Indonesia, Telkomsel), SM-G313HZ. Any suggestions?

Also have the same phone. I wish anyone with the right knowledge respond to this thread.
I hope someone makes this...
CM11 and CM12 work
I am currently trying to CM11 , tratandod to solve some bugs , maybe then try CM12 the problem is that my computer does not have enough features to compile CM12 , I have good processor 9.9Ghz AMD 500GB HDD , but memory is very short , I have only 2GB and 4GB normally required or higher.

if u want to compile CM12 with 2 GB RAM, u can use Elementary OS 0.3 x64. Im using it to compile cm11. and my pc also has 2 GB RAM only with 3.10 GHz.
And i've managed CM11 for galaxy v. sm-g313hz. u can find out in Galaxy V SM-G313HZ Development Thread. (Check my signature). But still has more bugs. If u want to help us, we'll so happy.

I am currently working with Xubuntu 15.04 , perhaps this weekend try AOSP 5.1 is aware Galaxy Repository V in my Github , there you will see all the changes that I do.

@cleverior
Nope, CM12 needs more than 2GB. Currently i have 4GB of RAM and a pentium G630 @2.7GHz. When building CM12 it uses swap so much (i've 6GB zRAM and it eats 5GB of it)
I'm looking for some help building CM12.1 for this device to get it in life . Even this is just a cheap phone, but we're devs, we can do it, so bring it on! Now with CM12.1, i'm currently facing with dead services (service media.audio_flinger died and more....)
A little off-topic: I've done building CM11 for this device and released the first builds. Now our (me and my friend on Github) biggest problem is that damn RIL. If someone could make it work, we will greatly appreciated
samsung galaxy v made in indonesia
to: developer samsung galaxy v Can I ask you please to make cyanogenmod 13 for samsung galaxy v made in Indonesia, I keep trying cyanogenmod 13 vivalto3gvn but the results were disappointing. once again I appeal to developers to make cyanogenmod13 SGV for samsung galaxy v made in Indonesia. I am a representative of the samsung galaxy artificial v Indonesia who can not feel how good cyanogenmod13 already using version 6.0 and please also Make a TWRP version 3.0.0.0 certainly much to the chagrin of their SGV white screen for any quick response please install TWRP
hi boss i fladhed cianogenmod 12 and i get blach and white screen . can you helpe me please
HI guys,
Which is the best Lollipop ROM for I9300 with,
1. Good battery life
2. Great Performance
3. Stability
Any suggestions?
Resurrection Remix is nice.
Send from my G900F @ Ressurection Remix using Tapatalk.
I think the best lollipop rom is nightly cm 12 from just archi.
i agree wirh Pathera
I've been wondering the same thing. I've seen people post problems about camera no longer working or not being able to use wifi and other network functions. While others reported that their phone started to overheat.
I'd like to flash Lollipop on my i9300 but I'd like a ROM that's as close to Google stock as possible and yet is stable. Which would fit this description the best, Archi's cm 12, Ressurection Remix or some other ROM?
more then satisfied with temasek's cm12 ... everything works perfect, fine battery
CRdroid have no issues best performance no leakage of ram and balanced battery life
Another vote for temasek's cm12 unofficial build. I'd go that far to say that it's the best ROM ever for i9300.
Temasek FTW!
Temasek's and arter97 cm 12.1 LP 5.1.1!
Super stable, battery saver, and costumizable.
Note that it is a cm rom, so with all cm roms problems, namely random rebooting and car Bluetooth issues...
Anyway in my opinion the best i9300 LP ROM so far.
There is a paranoid android official 5.1.1 for i9300 in their website. It's pretty stake stable but lacking in features. Although you need to flash boeffela with it otherwise it won't boot after first installation.
Is anyone able to port flymeos to our g2m?
I dont have much knowledge about porting ROMs but maybe someone has a time and know how to do this.
There is a chance for success because we have good working cm12 (its a base of flymeos),
device which running flymeos have the same GPU, cpu (but difference resolution).
Here is the link:
http://www.droidfull.com/2015/07/1sflyme.html
with right libs even camera works well (i just tried apps).
It will really something cool cuz everyone likes MIUI and flymeos is very similar and this rom from link is a stable, bug free version.
MIUI works gerat on LG L90. It's base on CM 11 http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/development/miui-v6-lg-d405-t3248423
You can try to compile muiu via this source https://github.com/respkirya/patchrom_miui_w7 only replace file in boot_image_unpacked and stock rom from CM11 for g2m.
The only unofficial cyanogenmod I found has no download anymore (the one by Plamb1r), so in my strife to get a version that's compatible with PokemonGo, I'm asking you guys are there any ROMs that can support it and is decently stable? Thank you guys in advance!
Same here. Is there any ROM 4.4.2+ That could work on L5 II So I can play Pokemon GO on t ..
Had to use this phone for one whole week a month back sold my 5s and ordered a G5 that took some time to arrive... Been using the ultraslim rom on it and it was still VERY slow...don't think that you could run Pokemon go on it even if it was supported by the os :/
