So had the s6 edge for a week and today went to the beach and tried out the UV.
But for my surprise it says my device can't measure UV light ...
Does my device need a reset or S6 cant really meaure UV ?
Had Galaxy note 4 before and it meaure UV without any problem.
And sorry if it's a repeated question, searched around and couldn't find any answer.
I think it doesn't have mine only measures oxygen, stress, heart rate but no UV. I don't know if it's a disable function because I do believe this phone is capable of that. But we'll...
Mine from latest update is not available to measure...
Is there fix?
Think it's a bug and need a fix.
It's same as on note 4 . Maybe on next update to 5.1 it will be fixed or enabled.
Found this on s6 website
also allow you to measure and manage your health and environmental records such as heart rate, SpO₂, and ultraviolet using the built-in sensors in Samsung smartphones and wearables.
So seems or its a bug or need to be enabled maybe next update. But really strange .
Here it goes really didn't get it why !
Agent:*I have checked the details for you and I am sorry to inform you that as per the new update that feature was removed.
Agent:*I can understand your concern, but I should inform you that after the update it was removed.
You:*so in later update it will be added back ? or it has been totally removed ?
You:*I'm still on 5.0.2
Agent:*I am sorry, Farouk. As of now we do not have information on the future updates. You may check with the future updates that will be notified on your device.

LG G5 Doze mode issue?
After a lot of experiences with other smartphones, i am now user of a LG 5.
This device is not rooted; not unlocked and running with firmware V10i-EUR-XX.
The first that i have recognized, is that some apps would be ended after a while!
I have protected them against battery optimization, but it doesn't help!
Du YOU have the same experience? Anny suggestions?
First suggestions: Update it to Android 7.0 (Nougat). Latest official ROM is v20c, found here. It MAY force you to factory reset your device, so make a backup of your data. Or start reading some of the Nougat-related topics in the ROM section ^^
Nougat shall have a more restriced kind of doze mode, so i can’t believe, that this should solve my problem.
BTW: i have read that there are many user , they want to return to MM after their experience with nougat.
I don’t want to become a member of this group!

No issues whatsoever with nougat for me (and many others too )..
Sent from my LG-H850 using Insomdroid
ok, i have read about some issues at the German "android-hilfe.de" forum just now.
Many people have bugs with the cam under NOUGAT! It is not possible to get higher ISO than 400 and lowlight pictures are very bad compared to pictures they were made under MM! Second bug - "quick charge" is missing! And W-Lan was not automatically reconnected after switching to off and than to on! (toggling two times)! And last but not least, the battery consumption was significant higher than before! I don’t need that! And of course, all users have done a factory reset after updating the device.

Ok I having Nougat since November and I can tell that camera quality improved with the update! For example compare Snapchat photo quality on MM with NG. Quick Charge does work?! I had no problems with wlan.

This thread has been created in Jan 2019 for monitoring monthly updates (i.e. security updates and many more) on Nokia 6.1 plus global Android one version...
Anyone is welcome to post here about his device's updates....
This is the January 2019 update
The Jan 2019 Update has nothing but the Security Patch.
It weighs in at around 65 MB.
New update of February security patch arrived
I've just updated. Seems stable so far

I admit It's lot slower than other ones but don't think inconsistent...
It always wakes itself up whenever I touch it, never failed to do even with a little touch.

With this update Google news is included in system pre-installed apps
The new march build has fixed the truncated text on the notification panel when you have selected the small text option.
Will update posts with more findings.
Update - Phone is way more snappier now and the battery drain has been comparitively lower than the feb patch.
Update 2 - Some People say the bootloader unlock(Enable OEM unlocking)option is now available for them. I still have it greyed out
Update 3 - Wow. Yesterday night after playing PUBG for sometime, I had 24% battery left. I left the phone as it was and came today morning to see only 1% battery drain?
This latest update has definitely improved the battery and made the more snappy and responsive. Also, The phone does not heat as much when charging.
Still no update. Any help?

Its actually much better for me now. Yesterday i had to travel for 4 hours and i left the phone a 28% when the trip started and when i reached, i had 27%.
Try clearing your cache data.
Is there any improvement in the inbuilt camera app after march update bcoz i couldn't see any, still it is the same crappy app, and please suggest a google camera app link which works the best.
Still no update in Spain (TA-1103). It's weird because all previous SP and MR have arrived via OTA when they were deployed.
Is there any other way to force update? I tried with VPN trick but it was unsuccessfully :crying:

This is my battery percentage and corresponding screen-on time under normal usage which includes basic tasks like using WhatsApp, browsing chrome and listening to Spotify.
Before the March update, my battery percentage used to be around 75%-78% after this musch of screen-on time, after the update I'm seeing a significant difference.
I can't be the only one and what exactly i can do to solve this?
Nothing in italy i try with change vpn... Nothing
I just received a new Galaxy Tab S6. WiFi only version. (SM-T860NZALXAR)
It has Android 9, and One UI version 1.5 on it.
Should I update it or not?
Do they take away any features with the update that I may want?

What features are you after or you think will go missing once you update your Tab S6 ? i manually updated it and i'm loving it! it's really smooth and fast! Only nag i think i got a real slight battery drain or maybe it's learning my usage patterns then it will settle down as i flashed it with Odin i flashed Home-CSC as that keeps data intact..
I'll give it a week or 2 if the battery drain dont improve i'll do a factory reset but please note i'm talking about 2/3% battery loss over 6 hour standby before i was only losing 1% ove the same period!

I've updated and I see no reason not to. As far as I can tell, nothing's broken, everything works fine.
I just remember when my Note 9 updated from Android 8 to 9, and took away my automatic call recording. Which should not be an issue with this device. I just get nervous about the updates now.
When is Android 10 EU. I got last security patch - 5 march. As early as May 5, I didn’t even receive the April security update.
Sorry about my English, i'm talking with Google Translate D:
I think eu will get a stable android 10 update, after global users are done with bug reporting, and i think its not that far, current version is stable enough for daily use, just some bug remained.

The problem is that some guys are so weird , they want the best and bugless build. Ok i understand that xiaomi did a really bad work on mi a3 , they completely messed up but be down to earth and especially don't be so furius and angry. I have seen lot of post in the community and the people do like a child because they found one bug. Come on just work with it . Other people don't even have the chance to get the Android 10. So calm down and wait for the bug fix version( of course i don't talk to you specificantly i talk for the majority of the users)

agree with you, no company deliberately provide buggy software, its bad for their reputation and they know that (also we have to consider the whole Covid-19 and lock down situation, we never faced such situation before nor the company), yes we paid many for the device and expect a professional service, and if we don't get the service we have the right to talk about it and ask for the reason but we don't have to bash a company like that i mean if they cant be professional then you be professional.
I'm on EU versio and I've gotten android 10 today. I haven't installed it yet. Does someone know if it have some major bugs?
I've just received Android 10 Europe update.
Also received a notification. Having read all the horror stories about Android 10 on the A3 i'm too reluctant to download/install :|
All seems to work correctly. After restart phone looks the same
Programs, that I have disabled remains disabled. FOD works with screen fully off. WiFi scanning can be enabled in programmers options. Android Auto appeared. Pedometer works with similar delay as in Pie. GPS works, compass can be calibrated after reset, but we have to wait some days to check if it has the same calibration problems as in Pie. System updates from Google Play work, phone gets updates for March.
Some glitches:
- Play Store starts uncertifyied.
- Some problems with APN for Orange PL, but I think now default configuration for IPV6 works.
- Battery settings can't be open by clicking at battery icon in notification screen.
No idea about reliability, battery time, etc.
Received it today in Romania
Just got an update couple minutes ago, I'm in Vietnam.
I got android 10 too and april security patch.
I did the update , all seems to work fine , shutter speed is limited to 1/4. The overall system has a little bit of lag but i need to do a factory reset. The problem that i have is that i cannot make more apps fit in the display. Overall is a good update. As far as the colour of the dark theme , in the settings is this terrible green like black , but overall on the system is pure black
Screen mirroring now works, was damaged in Pie.
Netstat no more available.
Besides gestures, there is possibility to set 3 button navigation.

Omg shutter speed stills 1/4? I had hope they will fix this for the EU release... appearently they don't see it as a bug but a needed feature nerf.
Is working well the Hi Res audio in the update? I see in Poweramp that it makes a downsampling to 16 bits/48 khz and if you select Hi Res output yo get low level.
Thanks in advance.
tired abt Android 10:
battery drain
system lag
Chrome crash
waiting and waiting
Just got the update but i wont do it,
Thanks for reporting the bugs. Dosent worth the pain. Its enought we are lab rats for biological weapons.
My Google Play system update is on 1 November 2019 & when I try update there is error "failed to update, updates are temporarily unavailable try again later". It's like this for around 10 hours now. Any recommendations? Thanks
no fix on notification light, battery drain, sound very high and uncontrollable at some notifications
what exactly they fix in android 10?...nothing i say
ooh...yes we have dark mode now....hahaha
Xiaomi let us down very hard......i believe they must be put out of android one program.
Beware i was a "fanboy" for 3 years now. My Mi5 was the best phone i ever had
Searching for a better ROM. Any ideas?
For me it's fine.. no major bugs observed. Battery usage is same as before, AOD works mostly fine (though it was more stable in Android 9), notification LED blinks, nothing crashes, I do not notice any lags. Dark mode is nice, although not really usable outside, so I have a Tasker profile to switch it automatically.
My wife hasn't even noticed that she's on Android 10 (fully stock setup)..
Am i only the one who is noticing minor lags around the UI after the feb update including few scrolling and wallpaper bugs on 23 Ultra?
Had no problem on my U1.
I'm noticing battery life isn't as good. Anyone else feel this?

You can't judge battery for a few days. It always sucks immediately after an update.
Should i roll back or wait for another update?

I just got my s23 ultra on Monday. Turn on phone and updated. I must say battery life isn't that great either. Once I start using my phone it goes down quickly
I haven't notice any lags after the update. Battery life seems the same as before. I just installed the update today so will see if there is any significant change. But so far seems that it's just working as intended. Still hitting 5+ hours of SOT after last a full day of use and 30% battery left no optimizations.
Seems fine here. Am on light battery profile
No difference here on VZW.
No problems on the U1 model.
No issues for me. If you have a few hiccups wait a day or 2. Apps do re-optimize after an update so let everything adjust.

Have had this after “analyzing battery pattern” phase. It was probably the play store update but as soon battery finished analysis p, it got worse
I don't get why some of you are only getting half the battery life that I am. I am Deaf so I don't do any voice calling. Don't have any games installed yet. And only Social Media I have is Facebook and Messenger. Other than that it's all Stock without any modifications and using Adaptive Refresh, Adaptive Battery and WQHD resolution.
The first screenshot was with Standard Performance Profile and Second was Light Performance Profile.

Look at the reports online. This Feb update has some s23 owners noticing battery degradation. Mostly previous gen phones updated to 5.1 though it seems, like s22 s21 owners

Hi, lot's of problems here
apps force closing
system notifications saying apps have issues
system restarting and going on a loop (not getting to the pin screen)
Had to go back to my prevoius phone until I figure it out
Chatted with Samsung, no straight answers.
Factory resetted it, still same issues, even on the instalation screen to pick language.
Anyone know how to rollback in a clean way to avoid warranty issues?
SM-S918B-ARO
Regarding batery, wasn t able to check, but I assume it will have issues too.
Thx

Because I don't have a time machine to know what would happen. I assumed this didn't happen, but I was wrong, now is time to fix it..
Downloading update via Frija and will update on Odin.
The thing is I can't rollback, as I couldn't get the old firmware, only the new one.
I'll update here when is done.

Remember it for the rest of your life!!! All updates bring only bugs! No need to update Windows and Android! If you do, you will have problems. You won't get anything good.
