1. Did you tried PingPong root ? this is a safe root and doesn't void knox...
2. If you flash a different firmware not that specific for your model I'm not entirely sure but I think you will brick your phone...

Everything you said is true. However, it is important to know that it will not always be a hard brick; it could be a soft brick.

If you do full wipe first (and you should do that because you said you need to send the phone to service) it will remove root.
Haha.
It is quite easy
Thank you.

It depends on how you rooted and whether you reset your binary counter or not (yellow triangle on boot). That's what they use to tell if uv been messing around. Did you use triangle away? As just wiping data etc won't affect it.

You realize that if you want help then you need to describe what happened so someone like myself can point you in the right direction. It's like going to the mechanic and saying, "hey, my car isn't working." At that point, it helps to describe the symptoms instead of just handing over the keys and saying, "I dunno. It's not doing something right, good luck figuring out what."

Hey guys.. Bought a new Sam Galaxy Alpha G-850Y and tried rooting it using Framaroot, Towelroot and Kingroot. Framaroot and Towelroot don't support mh device and when i tried king root it Failed at 70%(rebooted once at 53%). Didnt worry then now tried updating my software by OTA. It says Your Device has been modified . Checked SystemStatus it is custom. Then checked root by various root check apps The Results were Different . see screenshots attached. One says not rooted one says not properly rooted and one says Rooted. Now What to do... titanium backup and other apps which require root permision say I dont have root. Trued downloading Supersu but Didnt open properly. As i think m not rooted. Now i am thinking to properly root it and then unroot it.
I want my device status to official. How to??
Or else I want it properly rooted dont wanna get stuck in middle. Please help
NOW heard CF Autoroot works well but WILL IT TRIP KNOX?? [major question]
Any Other ways.. any help is wholeheartedly appreciated.. ?
If you want ro revert back to stock status then search for the proper country firmware on sammobile.com for your version of alpha and flash it with odin. It will erase all errors snd bring the phone to the fresh os.

Looks at https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ for your specific firmware, if there's no, maybe you flash the PD2 firmware on you phone, It's same device, right? Only build date change.

Flashing a old or new firmware build on your phone, no chances of brick, unless your computer catches fire in the process.
There's TWRP for your phone in the reserved XDA forum? Flash it using Odin and flash SuperSU system-less. CF-Auto Root does it, flash a patched custom recovery and flash root package.

Using Odin in default ways won't will kill your phone, UNLESS you do it in wrong way.
Read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-...ecovery-official-twrp-galaxy-s6-edge-t3354492

If that's what it says, you don't have a U or U1. Mine is 918U and it can never be rooted.
