This is BONE STOCK. It only has Root, Kernel, and Modem/Radio
See post #2 for some important info
See post #3 for extra files/fixes
Install instructions:
1. Flash this in TWRP - MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN FLASH THIS!
In TWRP, select Wipe>Advanced>then select cache, dalvic, data, and system. DO NOT select int or ext SD.
2. Flash Rom
3. Profit!
After install:
Go to Settings>System Updates> and update profile/prl. You can also go to "Activate this device".
If you do not have Sprint bootani or Wifi Calling
You will need your MSL number and do the dialer reset. So in the Dialer ##786#. This will wipe your int SD!! And everthing else, so you will be starting fresh.
Bugs:
None that I know of.
Downloads:

Stock_ZVA-Odexed-using-updater-script - This has root, busybox, init.d, and Selinux permissive, only. NO MODEM.
If you use this one, pattern unlock will lockup the phone requiring a battery pull!!!
You do not need to flash this if you're already updated. This is just for those that want to modify the zip before installing. Actually, either one will update you to ZVA.

Hints, Tips and stuff
You will more than likely need to follow the steps above to get WIFI Calling. I would suggest doing this in the beginning so you don't lose all your work!!!!! I haven't gotten this far yet, but I think it wipes your SD. Make sure to back it up first!!
It didn't wipe internal SD!!! But better safe than sorry
Backup your EFS first!!! Just to be safe - In the FAQ
A dialer reset may be required for a lot of the issues. In order, easy to most invasive.....

I haven't tried that yet. Still experimenting with this new rom.
I know I need to modify for the ext sd though. But that's not a big deal.

Make a backup first. Then try it. I'll try it tomorrow just cuz I'm curious too.
If you get slow dl from there, just pick another server. That usually works.
Navel kernel doesn't work for this rom. Just flashed it and got a security error on boot
See post #3 for files and fixes. All flashable in TWRP
What changes in ZVA?

Just little things really. Nothing major.
Mostly I've noticed the WiFi calling just has the icon now.

Sorry, forget to say, kernel, modem and system are in the zip. But the modem has the same number, just a tiny bit smaller.
So this will not give lg security error on reboot?can anyone confirm.

@engine95 how did you bump the kernel. I tried bumping the kernel and it would not boot. Is it okay for me to just take your kernel out of the zip file? I assume that you had to keep the padding. Is there a new bump tool because the one that I use breaks stuff.

You're more than welcome to use it. Just give credit.
I had to unpack and repack it a different way. Sneaky LG/Sprint. Try using "Android Image Kitchen." mkbootimg tools didn't work as the compression is different.
Your bump should work this way.
I haven't got the fixes/kernel, but this rom feels a lot faster for me. only problem, which might be attributed to the kernel, is my battery died today after 4 hours (died before noon) of sitting in my pocket lol but i work in a building with absolutely no cell service, but usually my phone lasts all day at work, and i have to charge when i get home, or on the way home.
And i did try the Bare Navel Kernel last night before i went to bed, and got the LG Security error trying to boot up.

This ROM is completely stock 9.4.2.15 except for:
Rooted
Insecure Boot.img (Allows the system to be mounted writable)
ADB debugging enabled (Allows running logcat if needed)
Instructions
Make sure your Prime is unlocked and you have CWM installed (see this thread for help and a handy tool to do that)
Shut down the prime
Hold both the Power-button and the Volume-down button until the splash screen appears and some white text in the left top corner is visible
Release both buttons and press the Volume-up button
The device now boots into your CWM recovery
Make a backup of your current ROM
Inside CWM select "wipe data/factory reset" (Optional but highly recommended)
Then flash the rom zip as usual
Then flash the Accounts & Sync fix zip as usual

I realize that "wipe data" has become the catch-all cure for custom rom issues, but why is this a required step for what's essentially a stock rom when the locked bootloader version doesn't need to wipe data?
I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering why this is a required step (instead of an "if you have problems try wiping data" step)?

I say that to limit issues. You can try it without wiping and then wipe if you have problems. I flashed it over 11.1 and it worked but it seems to run better when installed fresh so I'm re-setting up my apps.

Certainly an easy way to update the kernel, but based on the ways the Prime seems to manage to get bricked even after the user follows instructions to a T I am worried that including the kernel may cause you and the users a big headache if things go awry.

I've tested it a couple of times on mine. I removed the recovery and bootloader blobs from it so it just basically puts the boot.img in the staging partition and installs it on reboot just like CWM or any other blob. I doubt that anyone could brick with this since it's only touching the boot partition.
Hey,
once we got some successful kernel flash reports, do you mind if I take a look at your updater-script for the kernel thing?

Collaboration for the win!
Ah, that is an excellent idea
Calling dd via busybox should work
It just seems the in-built CWM functions for flashing stuff doesn't work at all for the kernel blob.
Thanks, once confirmed, I'll add it to my ROM too

Thanks! Yeah, I had a hard time trying the old methods to flash the kernel. This method seems to work well. I'm anxious for feedback from people that have installed it.
If you have flashed this, please post and confirm that it installed the ROM and kernel fine for you.
Thanks!
Flashed no problem without wiping, and Kernel installed no problem too. Works great, thanks a lot.

If you can get me a logcat output, that'd be great. I have flashed this 3 times clean over the last few hours. I use CDMA and have had NO issues.

I am using GSM. Is my way of creating a logcat output correct? I reinstall the rom, get the error msg, set usb debugging on and charge only, connect phone to computer, and use adb logcat on my command prompt?
Anyway the reason I thought the webcorefix fix the issue is because it worked for me on Paranoid Android 1.1. After flashing that, no more error messages.
Edit : Not sure where did I do wrong, I use adb logcat > logcat.txt but it kinda stuck there not moving. Am using the android-sdk from my previous Xperia Play flashing days.
Edit 2 : I got the logcat.txt after I got bored waiting and disconnect, hope its complete. Anyway, the phone doesn't detect any network after the phone process fc

Booting problem
Hello all,
I am not sure this is the right place for this but I can't get this to boot. I thought I had everything rooted, unlocked and latest version of clockwork recovery installed. This install doesn't make it past the dual core boot screen. I have tried this several times even with a different kernel and no luck. CM7 installs just fine. I may be missing something. Any help is appreciated.

When Aroma begins to install...watch it very carefully...if it goes through it really fast, it's because you have an unreported error in CWM. You need to go to Advanced menu, select Report Error, then select Show Log, then Reboot Recovery, then make sure you have at least 75% battery (if not, plug it in to the wall outlet...NOT A PC), then flash the rom

just to be clear, i didnt root the note 3, you guys had an unlocked bootloader it means rooting was as simple as flashing recovery. i included rooting steps in my OP to help people out.
Great Work Shabby!
Thanks for allowing me to assist you in getting it up and running!
Now we are just waiting on jellybomb 1.0

I was able to get the recovery to install and also the supersu. Once I rebooted it offered to repair root which I selected no per instructions but when I login to the stock room now after installing recovery and SU I receive an error that SuperSU has stopped and it never opens or allows me to open rooted applications.

Just re-run the CF-Auto Root instructions to the T and you should be back in business. I had the same issues and just used CF auto Root and it resolved my issues and I have root with no seen issues so far. Just got the device literally 1hr ago and just finishing up on it. Also if you installed a recovery you will have to ODIN back to OUDHS to get that back. I am holding off until I see some Jellybomb

Yes you can, at least I just did without error.
go use TWRP, its a far better recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471564
So I'm no developer, havent kept up on code for a couple years but I do love or did (when I had MDK before my phone **** out and VZW replaced with MJ7) so I've been stuck on safestrap not that its a bad thing if theres more than 1 or 2 roms then its almost better with multiboot options...n really really hard to brick it hashcode your my hero)
Install:
Unzip into your SS backup dir and restore to a blank rom slot. I went super small as small as SS would allow for slot creation. If your getting an error on restoring be sure to try deleting the slot and readding it then restoring the system files. If your WiFi doesn't work try flashing MJ7 / MK2 SS modules. Only flash after booting up rom and knowing wifi isnt working (big thx to Mistertac and Timmy for that tidbit to get wifi working on MJ7). This rom might work for others like ME7 SS users maybe even MDK Twrp users but I need testing done for me.
Got bored ****ed with International rom Omega v18 (Also have Foxhound 3.5 working on SS bout done with that port) until it worked perfect for what I use it for no other areas have been tested but it seems fairly stable for me... wifi works great. 4g im getting better speeds on this rom than HyperDrive (could be fluke someone check if the rom works for them plz?) and wifi tethering, phone, internet, messaging). This install was pretty much a debloated Omega 18 in which I chose only basics ****ed around for a couple hours and finally came up with solutions... You more than likely will have to move or load apps you want on here as this is just a safestrap ... like I said no developer here was hoping someone might run with this (aroma, updates, fixes, repackaging, zip) and continue to port more of these over with me to our safestrap dependent asses.
This was tested on SS 3.70&3.71 from a MK2 stock and default kernel for SS. Like I said I'm not really a developer and a airly new member to xda so I had to post here. if it doesnt work for you or sucks or u think I suck well thx for the hate least I tried got no love for the ppl not doing **** to contribute and just *****ing or posting stupid questions that are answered with simple forum searches! thx goes out to any developer doing work on the VZW..or S4 in general. ::indie:: thx for the rom its pretty nice open carrier on next release?, Hashcode specifically dudes probably saved a million lives jrkruse, Surge1223, ktoonsez and open1your1eyes obviously, sbreen94, k1mu, old&slow, beanstown106, Dubbsy, invisiblek
Download (I'm hoping this works for enough ppl to test quick repackage and repost for me, msgs wont get checked too often I smoke to much to...)
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0BwL6-n3ZMcedSnBsWE5ITVJOVWc&export=download
Happy New Year! Happy Flashing or Restoring obviously dont hold me responsible for any damage done to your phone i tested this on 3 friends phones and my own before uploading it.
Oh if it works n u arent an asshole, +1 thank me, indie, Hash and Surge
Didn't work. I tried 3 times on SS 3.71 and it failed all 3 times. ..I didn't even get to flashing the mk2 module

You don't flash this. You unzip it and copy it to your twrp backup folder then restore it to a Rom slot I believe.
Please correct if I am wrong op.

no flashing needed.
didnt know easiest way to pack this as i had never done one. just unzip into your backup folder on sdcard or int wherever safestrap backs up too for you already. then restore it into any rom slot, i had it on slot 2 and hyperdrive on 1 rooted stock/slightly modded mk2 on my stock. im pretty sure this will work on any MJ7 / MK2 as it just "flashes" the mk2 modem to that slot. Oh and DO NOT FLASH MK2 MODULES or ANY MODULES OVER THIS. IT WILL MORE THAN LIKELY MESS IT UP. IF IT WAS NECESSARY I WOULD HAVE INCLUDED IT IN INSTRUCTIONS. Glad to hear its working for a couple people. Maybe someone could get this thread moved into the proper forum as its apparently some what working now which might help some other safestrappers?
This is a clean wipe install so dont try to carry any of your data or settings over until after 1st boot. after that flash whatever you want for testing no other mods have been tested with this it does have the 10% volume boost preflashed.
It didn't work for me.
Downloaded - Unzipped - Placed the backup in my TWRP backups folder.
Created a fresh slot, During restore it FAILED during system restore.
Anyway to get an MD5, possibly I got a bad dl??
might have to play with this later

hey sorry bud did u try deleting the slot and making a new one and restoring it to that? i have various ppl confirming so far besides those trying to flash the file theyve had success. hopefully one of them is able to help me turn it into a more stable flashable rom for SS. otherwise if you tried the previously mentioned steps im out of info for now sorry again for wastet of time. i dont know that it would matter at all but this was on safestrap 3.7 that i had been using not 71... screenshots, md5 and the works will have to wait for a proper flashable file release. thx

Thanks for giving us a try at this anyhow and yes, it seems some have had success so I'm not giving up just yet. I have Hyperdrive installed in my stock side so this was the first slot I created since months ago on a prior build of SS. Yes, I am using the latest 3.71 or whatever it's version is.

Did the same thing again. Failed about a two minutes into the restore process system. Is there a special size allocation I need to make for system in SS slot? I'm just going with the default 2,xxx something..

I'm downloading it. Ill make it so its a proper rom.zip and patch issues related to root/Safestrap/kernel if there are any. Ill re-upload and then OP or someone else if he wishes can takeover from there. Obviously ill test it first lol.
Edit: Successfully booted the rom zip of it i made to the stock slot but couldn't/didn't want to wait for the initial boot screen to get done (the medallion w/ a lion coin spinning).. Also successfully booted my own rom I made in the 1st slot. So I went from stock to having two different rooms installed lol, I'll upload after I check somethings, specifically if omega will go past the bootscreen.
Ok everything is working good for me so far. I read further back to NOT flash any modules during install...which i didnt at first but then my wifi wasnt working so I went back in and flashed them and it fixed that problem.
Other than that everything is working great. Very lightweight rom huh? I mean as far as TW goes, you know what i mean.
Hey im happy to see more options coming our way.
Ive been SafeStrapped since my Razr, although I had many more rom options on that phone, i love the S4 and what people are still trying to do for our locked down phones.
Luckily i can get my custom recovery on with my girls Sprint S4 lol

Hello everyone!
I'm not a technical person but I can follow tutorials.
I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone (SGH-I337) that has a defective wifi, it won't turn on. I have tried several tutorials, unassembled the device to check that everything was connected properly, done several factory resets and even installed a 4.4.4 software update thru Odin (downloaded from another place on the internet) with no success.
The last thing I tried was following this nice tutorial and everything went according to instructions (I followed the ones that applied to me on Post #3 using Towelroot) but the wifi still wont turn on.
What else can I try?

All the ones that I have downloaded and installed thru Odin don't fix the Wifi issue, but yeah, I have 3 versions downloaded.
I downloaded these 4 files http://gsm-firmware.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=7840
How do I install them? My experience with Odin is restricted to 1 file in the PDA/PA slot, not 4 different files.

ok so because odin has changed over the years we need to flash these 4 files in the correct slots, with my j3 it's the same deal. here is a short explanation
“BL Button” -- This button is an abbreviation for “Bootloader”. You would »»Click«« this button if you wanted to »»FLASH«« only a portion or »ALL« of the Device’s “Firmware”.
««« This MUST ONLY be used with the CORRECT type of “Image File”!!!! »»»
“AP Button” -- This button is used to »»FLASH«« “Individual Sections” of the Device’s Operating System (OS). This button was previously labeled as “PDA”.
“CP Button” -- This button is used to »»FLASH«« “Individual Sections” of the Device’s Hardware. This button was previously labeled as “Phone”.
“CSC Button” This button is used to »»FLASH«« “Complete” or “Partial” images that use the Device’s “Product Code” (CSC). This is used for almost all the »»REPAIR«« procedures. This is the most commonly used button for “Novice Users”
If you have root access, keep it simple and use it to flash twrp. I'll make you a custom build to flash there if you like. Let me know

I'm making the build today the reason for the delay is because I discovered we can upgrade you to lollipop, we will need to test this though. I'll upload the rom to my google drive within the next 1-2 hours, I appreciate your patience and I'll do my best =)
The rom is uploaded here. https://drive.google.com/open?id=12EYdh5YGlBnJJS0TV3B3TkEOTWH5kWfK I have also included the Lollipop Odin firmware update files, they will help you if you encounter any issues after the fact like data/wifi.
---------- Post added at 12:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:56 AM ----------
Ok so here are the features, the rom is uploaded.
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop SDK 21
ROOT STATUS: [YES]
BUSYBOX STATUS: [YES]
SQLITE STATUS: [YES]
ROM INIT.D SUPPORT STATUS: [YES]
DEKNOXED STATUS: [YES]
DEBLOATED STATUS: [YES]
ZIPALIGN STATUS: [YES]
DEODEX STATUS: [YES]
CUSTOM BOOTANIMATION STATUS: [YES]
SU.D SUPPORT STATUS: [YES]
Place the ROM on your external SD. Go to wipe options in TWRP and wipe all but external SD, then flash the ROM no need for supersu as I have enabled it at system level. If you run into connection issues, flash the odin files I have included, go through the normal setup and enable usb debugging in developer options and re install your TWRP and then wipe as previously mentioned & flash the ROM again. Wifi and data should now be working. Enjoy and report back with your results and logs if you need help =) I appreciate your support ?
