Yellow tint and question about getting a replacement from Sprint - Sprint LG G3

I have this weird yellow/greenish tint on the upper-middle part of the left side of my screen. I did some research and found out that its due to the processor overheating. Figure I would try to go to Sprint and get a replacement since LG has a 12 month warranty ( got the phone on November). However I have my phone rooted and its bootloader unlock. My question is will I have to relock my bootloader and unroot my phone? Does Sprint check for that stuff when doing a replacement? I found this thread that does a stock restore so that covers root but what about the bootloader?

TOUCH PANEL-fail

I receive this error when I boot into fastboot or HBoot modes. When I power on normally, it boots up fine (takes longer than usual), the slider lock screen comes on BUT the touchscreen doesn't work.
Also, this phone is flashed to Cricket (I'm not a Verizon customer) so while the phone is technically under warranty, I'm not sure Verizon will honor the warranty.
Any thoughts?
Downgrade to 1.5 if possible.
PCDPhones can probably fix it, the warranty is technically through them.
I'd go to their website and call them up. They'll have you mail your phone to them. OR find a Verizon friend that you can re-flash the phone back to Verizon, and take it into a Verizon store. They will either give that person an exchange or mail them a new phone.
If you send your phone to PCDPhones, it can be 2 weeks, but they DO honor the warranty. Possibly if you take it to Verizon as well, I'm NOT sure. I know HTC still honors this warranty, and it's done through PCDPhones. Sounds like your touch screen went bad.
You could try to downgrade if you're worried that you won't be under warranty, with http://www.androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/ in the All Things Root area in AcidBaths' thread on his first post there, hboot and all, so that you're "covered by warranty" - to be honest I bet if it's a physical problem - which it sounds like it is - they won't care about the software anyway
ok so I got the $5.18/ month insurance from Verizon, they tried to offer a $6.99/month plan that adds a 6 month warranty to the exchange and then took it back saying you cant with the thunderbolt.
So my question is should I just tell them I lost the phone and get to keep the battery, sd card, and possibly fix the touch screen later to put it on Metro PCS? Verizon says they cover lost phones, does anyone know if I will have more trouble if my phone is lost versus broken?
Also if its broken is there anyway of getting out of the $100 deductible?
Anyone know if I have to wait a day after adding insurance or any trouble I will run into with this?

Returning the phone to att

So I'm thinking about reverting my phone to stock by flashing a fruitcake and hopefully the "unlocked" text will go away when I do. I have just one question, let's say the "unlocked" text goes away and I'm back to stock, will ATT be able to figure out that the phone was unlocked in the first place and not replace it with a different phone? I'm trying to replace this phone with a galaxy s2 and I called ATT today and they said that they will let me trade the phone with a refurbished gs2 for free. So I what I'm trying to do is get the phone back to stock and remove the unlock text and send it to ATT and hope they don't suspect anything. Will this work?

When the phone goes back to Moto and they put it on diagnostics, which will be the first thing they will do after inspecting for water damage, physical damage, etc., they will know instantly it was unlocked. They will inspect the phone because they can use it as a refurb for someone else. To my knowledge nobody has had issues with unlocked phones and warranty replacements, exchanges, or trades. I think you will be safe enough, but even if AT&T doesn't know right away that it is unlocked, Moto definitely will.

[Q] Two bricked EVO 3D Warranty Questions

I've got a question about two broken EVO 3D's.
First one:
Fully stock (not rooted, bootloader locked). This one has a broken/malfunctioning screen. After a fall the screen is vertically split in half, left site works good right site is fully black. The glass isn't broken or shattered in any kind.
Second one:
Flashed back to stock, bootloader status 'relocked' & S-ON again. (Have tried to use JuopunutBear to set 'locked' but without succes). This device has probably a broken digitilizer (see my earlier question).
I'm wondering if both devices will fall under warranty repair, of do i've to pay for the repairs myself (in this case i prefer to buy new devices...).

[Q] unlock and warranty

I searched and couldn't find a clear answer to my question:
I bought an AT&T HTC One off CL and want to flash the international ROM, however, I am afraid of voiding my warranty...
1) is there any way to restore htc one back to its "locked" state after unlocking, from what I understand it is only possible to change it to "relocked"
2) Does the "relocked" status imply voided warranty? has anyone dealt with AT&T in the past?
I have seen my share of smartphones failing, including my international S3 failing into its 14th month so would really like to keep the warranty intact
Unlocking the bootloader does not necessarily void your warranty in the U.S. But it will probably make your claim a little more difficult. HTC has, in the past, honored warranty when the fault was clearly not the users fault. For example, if your power button gets stuck in the down position and can't be raised. At this time, there is no way to get the phone to show LOCKED again instead of RELOCKED. Now if HTC gets your phone and determines the issue was caused by the user, they will still replace it but charge you for the parts. You will probably have more luck working with AT&T reps in your warranty claim because they aren't trained on how to tell if your phone is unlocked/rooted as long as you aren't obvious about it.

AHEM: /Taps mic....
Simply unlocking your bootloader isn't an automatic voiding of a warranty.
I am doing a warranty return myself and the terms I agreed to were the phone must not be physically damaged, or water damaged.
Also HTC THEMSELVES will repair a phone UNDER WARRANTY with a HARDWARE DEFECT despite having an unlocked bootloader.
I have never in my several years of dealing with AT&T had a warranty refused because I rooted my phone.

Until we get S-off (which is coming soon) the bootloader cannot be made to say "LOCKED" once it has been unlocked.
Sorry for the double post, but thought of one more thing. I had to get my phone warranty swapped for dead pixels. The AT&T reps I dealt with in person tried to convince me that my device wasn't covered because, like you, I bought the phone from an individual. They said warranty are not tranferrable and only belong to the person who bought the phone. This is not true. Warranty is on the device and provided by HTC, not AT&T. They are simply acting as an intermediary to facilitate the exchange. I had a whole lot less trouble dealing with the phone support folks in getting it swapped.

Thanks for that piece of information, MOST HELPFUL!
Any idea if there will be a different unlock tool for s-off our if I can unlock and just wait for s-off?

If past exploits are any indication you're going to need root to gain s-off so go ahead and unlock.

Bootloaded and free screen replacement

Hello, today my screen cracked and I found out that there's an option to replace it for free within 6 months of buying.
I talked to HTC customer service via live chat, gave them my imei number and they told me that it's in fact eligible for replacement.
Then they asked me if I bootloaded the phone and if it's s-on or s-off. I answered that I did, and it's S-off to which they replied that in this case they can't replace my screen because my warranty is lost.
I wonder how does my software affects my screen exactly..
Anyway, is there a way to restore it to stock so that they wouldn't find out that it was bootloaded and I can get my warranty back and should I even try after already giving them my IMEI number?
