Apparently you have to unlock bootloader using CROM app.
Then use OID3 Computer to flash the Hong Kong firmware, which has google play store.

How would I go about removing those apps? Also I am not sure what carrier it was bought from but I do have the following info if it helps:
Model #:
GT-I9100
Baseband Version:
I9100XXXKE4
Build number:
GINGERBREAD.XWKE7

there are the 3 main ways to uninstall these apps. (your device needs to be rooted)
1. (easiest way) install Titanium Backup, and uninstall the apps you don't want with Titanium Backup.
2. Install a root explorer, and go to the /system/app folder and remove the apk's wich you don't want.
3. by using ADB Shell/or any terminal emulator
then cd to the /system/app directory, and then rm every apk file you don't want
or you could just freeze those apps instead of unisntalling them..safer option incase you ever deicded to use those apps again
I'm such a noob wow! I just realized this was the factory unlocked/sim free version. But ya I guess having BBC iPlayer app is no harm. Too bad no NFC support on the North American/UK version of the Galaxys S II

you should mention, that you need the Donate version to freeze the apps, wich is not free.

[Q] No google play pre-installed

I bought an S3 from a friend in china and i noticed that it has no pre-installed google apps. I tried installing a Europe Rom, Polish Rom and Irish Rom but no of them would install. I used odin for all of them. I lately tried Android Advance HD but i didnt work. What should i do?????
China
One Google play might not be allowed in China .
Two is it actually a Samsung SGS3 ?? and the fact that you cannot install roms leads me to believe its a Chinese clone not a SGS3 .
What are the details under the battery and what firmware in settings about phone .

its all in chinese but it says GT-I9300 and s/n and imei,
it definitely sounds like a fake/clone.
Can you work out what baseband it has (in 'about phone')?

Well assuming it's a real i9300, Google Play was never really "allowed" in China, there's these chinese apps stores or SlideMe works in China.
You can probably get the play store somewhere and try market enabler

[Q] Galaxy S3 Neo (I9300I) flashing and countries

I bought a galaxy s3 neo + (model GT I9300I) in China, which came with a chinese version of android without any of the google services (as google is censored over there).
I'm now living in the UK and would like to flash my phone using an official samsung android 4.4.2 ROM (found on the live samsung updates websiet) so I can get access to the google services. The problem is that in that list there are only countries like Russia, China, India... Can I just use one of them and set the language to english? Should I use another ROM?
Thanks!

Firmware and Gapps for chinese Galaxy A7 (SM-A7108)

Hello everybody, I am struggling to find a way to make a Galaxy A7 bought in China more International-friendly, with no success.
I found firmwares for different kinds of A7 like 7100XX but nothing for SM-A7108 not even a Hong Kong firmware.
I then tried to manually install apk's of google play service etc.. but with no luck with it either.
Is there something I can do to make it at least normal Android with all the google stuff and without the chinese stuff?
Thank you very much!
Phone Details:
Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A7108)
Android Version: 5.1.1 (A7108ZMU1APE1)
Knox 2.5.1
I'm using the same device with dual SIM and I'm afraid it may take more time for the new customed ROM and SU to be released..
Just the same device and problem. Does anyone know the solution?

Can I change Sm-G9750 S10 plus Chinese firmware to Hong Kong firmware?

Hi
I bought an S10 plus in China which had no Google apps. I managed to manually install the playstore and Google apps.
However, I realised that my Google assistant is not working properly. I think the reason is because Google is not a system app on my phone and it is an app I can uninstall.
because the Hong Kong and China firmwares are the same, the only difference is that the Hong Kong version has Google apps preinstalled, my question is can I flash the Hong Kong firmware on my S10 plus that I bought from China. If so, can I use Odin and will my data be lost?
Hi,
Have the same question.
Can I safely replace China rom with HongKong rom ?
My idea is to use bellow software and rom:
1. Odin: Patched Odin 3.13.12. ROM (Hong Kong version): Samsung Galaxy S10+ SM-G9750 Snapdragon 855
I'd like to get Google Services preinstalled and more international languages by installing Hong Kong version.
Thank you in advanced
Regards
